Hello all :)

I have a "simple" question to all of you forum users.

I see there are a lot of games or applications for Blackberry, but these are in JAVA (.jar and .jad files).

Ho can I install it to my Blackberry using Desktop Manager? It only seems to work with .alx or .ali files....

Thank you very much for help :)

Mate you can install .jad files OTA(Over the air) only, means that open the link to .jad in your blackberry's browser to install. To install .Jar files use Blackberry Desktop manager. I hope this helps. If you have further question tell me.

i dont quite get how to install a java file on my BB? i have a BB desktop manager 4.3 when i install the java file .jad it doesnt work

1. Download batches:
http://rapidshare.com/files/132450264/batches4bb.rar

1.1. You need also:
BlackBerry_JDE_4.1.0.exe
http://rapidshare.com/files/133114543/BlackBerry_JDE_4.1.0.exe

BlackBerry_JDE_Components_4.2.1.exe
http://rapidshare.com/files/133102425/BlackBerry_JDE_Components_4.2.1.exe

2. Instruction
copy batch these files into your
"BlackBerry JDE 4.1.0\bin"
directory
(e.g. C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry JDE 4.1.0\bin)

!!!!!! IMPORTANT !!!!!!!
Don't forget to correctly adjust the date inside the "!delete_new_files.js" script if you are going to use it -
otherwise it can delete all your files inside the directory (read comments inside the script)!!

----------------------------------------------------------------------

HOW TO LOAD A FILE INTO BLACKBERRY:

1. Copy the .jad and .jar into your "BlackBerry JDE 4.1.0\bin" directory
2. Run !make_cod.bat
3. Connect Blackberry with a USB cable
4. Run !loadRIMlet.bat
5. Game is loaded
6. When you want to delete the game from Blackberry, you have to run !deleteRIMlet.bat
(this batch deletes from Blackberry all games, for which there are .cod files present in your
"BlackBerry JDE 4.1.0\bin" directory)

Read comments inside the scripts/batches.

That's it.
