Does Lane Guidance now fit on 3:4 screens ?
Also I've read that IQ routes is not supported on this new version.....

So, when you have a working system with 8.002 I doubt you should go for 8.010....
Even TomTom self did withdraw this new version. (Or did they already replace it with a new updated version??)

this version was not pulled for x30 devices, meaning there _should be_ no issues with IQ routes or elsex30 owners would freak out. IQ routes was/is one of the major features or x30 series. "modified" ttsytem comes from existing x30 package and is current. x20 version was pulled due to issues with map correction. as far as we are aware map correction made was hugely inaccurate. there might be some other issues that we are not aware off, of course.

I had no chance to justify the difference between 8.002 and 8.010 in full as of yet nor I can confirm IQ routes or LG functionality as 8.x maps are not available for the area I am live in to date.

BT, TMC and other features has to be tested properly and then we will know what is the story.

All I can tell is that, there is no danger in trying this version since there is always easy downgrade path for everyone.

P.S. longer bootup time is required for this version due to excessive code protection pocedures introduced in 8.010. credits to TomTom - they got it right this time. almost. well. not really! ;)

Confirm that this worked a treat on my 720T with 8.05 W&CE :hifive:

x20 version was pulled due to issues with map correction. as far as we are aware map correction made was hugely inaccurate. there might be some other issues that we are not aware off, of course.

The Gox20 8.010.9369 Update are not the same as the Gox30 Version. He was a reduce Version. TomTom sale not a Gox20 with the same Version at the Gox30.

Take the Gox30 for the Full Version.

just noticed that "Show Lane Images" button became available in settings for 8.010 running AU 7.20 map. it still says that "this feature is not available for this map". I am reasonably sure that SLI button was not present in 8.002 + AU 72.0 Map ??

yes, if navcore is unlocked. by default some options are not avilable for x20 and available for x30. something was not working "right" inside the code for x20 models by default. obviously TT would not suggest using unlocked navcore for you, so they just pulled the x20 release instead. What a cruelty! :)

Just thought I would let you know that I am running an unpatched navcore_8.010.9369.gox20.cab on my 720, with AU map v720.1868.

I just copied all the files over the old 7.481 navcore.

Everything "seems" to work fine, however, I note that the cspeech files are missing from the v720 AU map, so no voice recognition.

But.....
My device works, but in TTHome the WCE 8.05 map won't work. It says You can't use this map on this device.

I did the following:
1. Copied the original navcore 8.010.9369.gox30-files to the internal memory
2. I copied the patched ttsystem
3. I run the new keygen to generate new .dct-files and copied it to the map

So, it's working but in TTHome I can't use the map!

Did I something wrong?
My device is a go 920.

copy and rename to match the name of the DLL you have in your TT folder presently. this DLL to work with 8.010 *fixed* version only.

i.e.

path:

C:\Users\someuser\AppData\Roaming\TomTom\HOME\Prof iles\xxxxxxxxx.default\extensions\Navcore.7.161.84 91@tomtom.com\Navcore.7.161.8491.1.dll

rename dll to : Navcore.7.161.8491.1.dll and overwrite existing one in the folder as per above.

location of the DLL could be different depending on your computer and OS. also, please note:

TT Home may detect navcore version you are running incorrectly if you are using ttbif.bak file.

I would advise that you do the following:

browse to:

1. :\Users\someuser\AppData\Roaming\TomTom\HOME\Profi les\xxxxxxxxx.default\extensions\

2. delete all DLL files that you will fnd in subfolders.( not the folder! only contents)
3. connect your tomtom GO to TOMTOM HOME
4. choose operate my go option
5. tomtom home will download appropriate DLL file and will place it in the folder as per above.
6. disconnect your GO from TomTom home.

7. locate DLL file that tomtom home just downloaded and change file extention to DLL.bak
8. copy *fixed* home DLL that you have downloaded to that folder
9. rename *fixed* home DLL with name of original DLL that you have renamed in 7.

now you can operate you GO via TomTom Home.

I installed the new Navcore 8.10 with the new map Italy 8.05 (thanks to all those who gave these precious files) on my TT XL, overwriting the previous configuration where 7,221 above the TTS was OK, and TomTomHome has installed new files, the entries, the new Loquendo, etc. ... ; Again when the TT (in the meantime I called the ttsystem and rearm the patches for maps 8.05), the TT seems to work with traditional voice, but does not work with TTS I confirmed this? if instead it is possible to operate the TTS, what the exact procedure?

Ho installato il nuovo Navcore 8.10 con la nuova mappa Italia 8.05 (grazie a tutti coloro che hanno dato questi preziosi file) sul mio TT XL, sovrascrivendo la precedente configurazione 7.221 dove in precedenza la TTS era OK, e TomTomHome ha installato i nuovi files, le voci, il nuovo Loquendo, ecc... ; quando riparte il TT (nel frattempo ho rimesso il ttsystem e le patch per le mappe 8.05) il TT sembra funzionare con la voce tradizionale, ma non funziona con TTS: mi confermate ciò? nel caso invece sia possibile far funzionare il TTS, qual'è l'esatta procedura?

I would advise that you do the following:

browse to:

1. :\Users\someuser\AppData\Roaming\TomTom\HOME\Profi les\xxxxxxxxx.default\extensions\

2. delete all DLL files that you will fnd in subfolders.( not the folder! only contents)
3. connect your tomtom GO to TOMTOM HOME
4. choose operate my go option
5. tomtom home will download appropriate DLL file and will place it in the folder as per above.
6. disconnect your GO from TomTom home.

7. locate DLL file that tomtom home just downloaded and change file extention to DLL.bak
8. copy *fixed* home DLL that you have downloaded to that folder
9. rename *fixed* home DLL with name of original DLL that you have renamed in 7.

now you can operate you GO via TomTom Home.

If you read only the first information in this Thread you would not ask for your
problem.....

... this time you can't patched the ttsystem in nc 8.010.9369.go30.cab with any tt_keygen- tool !
You have to take the already patched to use function with patched maps!
Or you use the original ttysytem from 8.010.9369.go30.cab and buy original map from TT >7.x ( >8.x) ....

when i copy the files in memory card tomtom one xl doesnt work. i cant turn it on. then i connect tomtom home and update new software. its start working. and i do patces everything but i cant open the maps. i know i do something wrong but i dont know where. thank you

i.e.

path:

Seeing your hidden files and system files in Vista is not much different than in XP. Here are the step-by-step directions. Remember that system files are hidden for a reason. Don't go messin' around with stuff.

1. Click the round blue Start thing in the left corner
2. Click Control Panel
3. Click Folder Options

6. If you want to see system files as well, unclick Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)

What do I have to copy if I have a running ttsystem 8.002 on a go 720? Do I have to copy only the files from basic archiv? Is it needed to register the maps again (latest western europe) with easyusetool?

I tried to install this Version on a GO 710, I used these two packages:

1. Basicpack
3. ttsystem for go x10

When I switch it on it tells me "cant mount flash and no alternative Flashdirectory found run in Save RAM Mode"
Is this normal?!

Second thing is, that I cant choose any language or change the settings, because when it starts the screen seems some kind of "twisted", I have to press somewhere else on the screen to press the buttons and some buttons i cant press.....

I had this problem too.
Put the little ttn file in the root of TT and relaunch the TT.
After that, your TT indicate that SD card is no valid, normal.
install one more time the ttsystem of TTuser for X10 and the noflash folder.
it should work now.

Hey, thanks for your help, I tried this about 15 time but it didnt help.
It restarts 2 times and then it show the language-settings screen, where I have to press the top of the screen to select a language at the bottom.
The other strange thing ist that the 710 shows bootloader Version 5.5012 with Version 8002. Is that normal??

In my case, the only solution was to experiment with the file ttn until it works ...

I just took the Basicpack and ttsystem or gox10 from your post and copied to the SD-Card, the tomtom restarted twice an then the settings screen appears where the sreen is upside down....

I didnt have the Problem with 8002, but there it show bootloader 5.5012, i just wanted to know if that is normal, maybe it has something to do with this problem....

Just installed on go 700 and works fine.

You have not copied new 8.010 "basic pack" contents to your GO. Have you?

for 8.010 update to work is not enough just to copy new ttsystem file to your GO. trust me.

you need to unpack entire TTUser's basic pack to the root of your GO overwriting existing files. create no flash folder, delete flash folder. make sure that you have copied outsourced.bin folder to you GO as well.

report us the outcome.

For my GO 910, all work ok,unitl two features,for navcore 8 and map Western and Central Europe 805 :

right!

i suppose we should take 1 step at a time to ensure that your old file not gettting in the way of new ones.

lets do the follwing:

1. get youself an empty Sd card. you can backup all contents of your SD card to your desktop computer and delete everything form the Sd card. I mena all files inc maps. yes inc maps.

2. copy contents of 8.010 original cab to the card. non-patched one. (TT verion, not the TTUser one :) )

3. boot you device with those to ensure that your "flip screen" issue is gone.

4. now, copy contents of basic TTUser pack to your GO
5. copy TTUser's TTsystem file to your GO - you need the one that is for x10 devices. actually, all of files in the pack except switch files. leave them out. don't use them for now.
6. ensure that you have noflash and outsourced.bin folder on your Sd card now. no maps and no TTS voices. remember?

7. boot your GO. it should restart automaticaly few time for you.

8. now lets copy GUAM map to the GO ( basic test map), dont worry if there is none. skip this step.

9. see if Guam map works.

10. copy your map folders from backup back to GO. ensure that everything is working.
11. finaly copy Loquendo folder back, boot you GO and ensure that TTS is working fine.

now you should have fully functional upgrade.

12. we copying back fodlers with arts, mp3, text, pictures, etc.

do not copy FLASH and outsorce.bin from backup. do not copy any config files. just folders with stuff.


report us back. I guarantee you it will work this way.

please confirm that you use correct ttsystem - for x10.

4. now, copy contents of basic TTUser pack to your GO
5. copy TTUser's TTsystem file to your GO - you need the one that is for x10 devices. actually, all of files in the pack except switch files. leave them out. don't use them for now.
6. ensure that you have noflash and outsourced.bin folder on your Sd card now. no maps and no TTS voices. remember?


Ok, with the original 8010 it boots just normal, when i copy TTUser´s stuff to the SD i always get the same error!
The screen is some kind of flipped....

Thanks to TTUser for his help.
Now it works.
The file ttsys.dta in the flash-folder was missing and that was the whole thing. If anybody has the same problem: just create an empty file called ttsys.dta and put in the flash-folder on the SD!

Thank to ttuser for the right navcore 8.010 ttsystem. Witout that tt wouldn't work. Now I'm running tt one xls with navcore 8.010 and north america v805. Everything works great even tts with dave computer voice. Just talks kinda slow sometimes but everything is good.

I note that the version of 8.010 downloaded by TTHome to upgrade my new TT One XL is called LIMERICK.

I now have a SD card to play with - to my surprise TTHome thinks it is the TT connected and I was able to update through map share my maps. It has the 8.010 x10 loaded. Under voice preferences it says that I have a human voice recording which cannot be used for TTS - where do I find a non-human voice???

Thank you. Downloaded his TTS file and copied it to the same folder but the TTHome says that Susan USA 'This item does not work on this device' If you select it as a voice all voices stop working and you have to rest.

Installed V8010 on my GO Classic and get map not allowed error for V8 maps. V8002 works fine so have re-installed that.

V8010 works fine on my GO700 and I did exactly the same installation on my Classic with correct new dct files and included the Outsourced.bin folder.

Therefore, it appears V8010 does not work on the GO Classic.

Has anyone else had this problem ?

I cannot manage my HOME 2.3xxxx to identify my Go720T as 920 or 930 to find 805 maps.

i think that your ttsystem is no good with ONE 3rd..there'is a problem with unofficial voices...if i select this, the tomtom voices and sounds don't work and
shut off at the second attempt although I copied the file poweroff in the root
without voices, or select default a original voices, work all fine...for shutdown don't need a switcfile poweroff :)

did you downloaded the language file of your own language too? [about 200MB]

I don't understand the question, in the LoquedoTTS folder there are all the language files normaly. Is there an other place?

handsfree works on my 7.10 so it should work on 9.10 too
i prefere POI speedcams over original tomtom ones
hq traffic works but you need an transceiver, an acount and a phone w internet for it

Hello All.
I installed NC8.010 SE on my GO 920. All is working ok except my TomTom HD Traffic Receiver. The device recognizes the HD Traffic receiver when I connect it to the TomTom GO but the GO doesn't dialin to the HD Traffic server and no traffic indicator is visible in the right part of the screen.
Network-screen shows no connection.
Can anyone (maybe another Dutch user) confirm that the HD Traffic Receiver is not working in NC8.010 SE? It was working fine when I installed NC8.02..

Read the readme text and modify the changedtext.text in your tomtom.

Can someone tell me where should I copy ASR folder? I copied it to mainly device folder but when im turning on my tomtom I get message "There are no voices availble. You will not hear any spoken instructions"

ASR is for Voice Input, you speak with your Device, needs a mic

Voices are in Folder Voices

TTS, Computervoices are in LoquendoTTS Folder

Now im on the right way...everything is working on my go 910..by starting up it says "se running in RAM mode" (or something close to that)does it mean something ? I did the noflash thing !

I got equal results here with my GO 720T plus NC_8.010.
And I tested more than 6 hours with lots of different sets - but no better results.

after doing all that the tomtom hangs on restart.. even after resetting 3-4 times tomtom is still hung...

Maybe download it again. Working fine on my device.

Dont forget that after you patch your TT, it takes a fair while to start on the first boot. Switch off, remove SD card and then start again, give it time to boot.

TTHome downloaded Kate UK V710 - that did not work!!!

I see people heaving trouble with IQ routing. I've had the same problem and the rather simple solution is turning it on in the options for navigating. In the files from TTuser for gox10 the IQ routes are standard turned off. Hope this helps

ttuser's patched Loguendo lbiraries are for small TTS files, not for v6 ones.

please be advised that you have to use v.7 or v.8 TTS (small tts) files to get it working with ttuser's patched libraries.

alternativelly, you can download and use large TTS files used on GO910 originally but you will require appropriate TTS libraries, not the ones that are included in ttuser's basic packs.

This version works very well.
This is very good, is able to choose between a menu X20 and X30 menu.
On this version Tomtom has corrected problems RDS / TMC. I think this is the best version ever written.

Having read this full topic, I think I'll stick with 8.002 on my "One New Edition with SD". I haven't read about anything that makes it worth to switch over. All I read is that I'd loose some extra free RAM, and some hours puzzling to get the optimal installation, where "optimal" can infact be read as "the same as what I have now already with 8.002"

I've got everything working except the sound warning when i aproach a speedcamera.
When i want use one of my own .ogg warning sounds, i'm loosing the sound completely, no sound with directions and no sound when i aproach a speedcamera.
Or need i diffrent .ogg files?

is there a fix for this?

on my GO 910, after having tried all possible combinations with old computer voices, I decieded do switch to new computer voices, and now it works great.
I have already tried new computer voices with previous navcore and it was giving not fluente ouput voices for guidance. I have return back to old computer voices at this time.
I havn't yet try in real guidance in driving, I will see.

- menu's are quicker to navigate trough
- when connecting to USB the 8.002 only shuts down my unit so you need to start it by hand, the 8.010 reboots it correctly

TomTom HD Traffic receiver doesn't work with hacked Navcore 8.0.10

I'm using an external HD Traffic receiver on my GO 920 (which should be hardware identical to GO 930) but it doesn't work. I'll probably switch back to hacked Navcore 8.0.2 later today.. :cry:

Thanks, I deleted my Loq folder and replaced with the one downloaded from that post. I then downloaded a voice and copied into Loq folder. Same result. I can select the voice but I cant hear anything.

That TTS not work on one (xl) is not really new, why mean all it needs to work.:confused::confused:it can possible work if it not more think its a x20/x30

That happened to my GO720 too. I was able to download weather after reboot. Well, weather is not that important to me. I am very pleased with what I have.

HD Traffic: try the original 8.010 Version, if this work come back and swear

I just installed the original 8.0.10 navcore for the GO 920 and now HD Traffic is working OK again. Unfortunately no lane guidance,IQ routes or other nice features of the 930 and I had to restore my original 7.x maps (instead of 8.x) so I'll stick with hacked NC 8.0.2 for now...

Because of your message I took a new SD card, put 8.010 etc.. on it, and started testing. As I already thought; I don't notice any difference.
But plus-point you mention also worked perfect here with 8.002, the menu's are of the same speed (as they should be) and rebooting automatically already happened with my 8.010

Updating MapShare is slow.... in both cases. Searching for updates takes forever. 4 minutes or more is normal here (both with 8.010 and 8.002)

I have to play a little with it the coming days. But infact.... both versions seem to work alike so no matter which one I use.

But whatever:

I propose to put in first post instead puzzle of iles that everyone should rebuild as he should know (and many user doesn't know how to make a working kit) three files (each file compressed) with all files for a working copy of TT for

- TT GO x10 (Basic kit + TTSYSTEM + ASR + Cspeech + Loquendo + Noflash folder)
- TT GO x20/x30 (Basic kit + TTSYSTEM + ASR + Cspeech + Loquendo + Noflash folder)
- TT ONE (Basic kit + TTSYSTEM + ASR + Dummy Cspeech)

Of course for each kit should be present in the root the latest version of SYSTEM (bootloader now 5.5012 version) to recognize SD bigger than 2Gb

In each file should be available all files need ded and the user have only to copy on SD and switch one the TT.

And at first power on the TT update its bootloader (yppu can have with aSD bigger than 2GB more maps on the same SD)

In this way we can avoid tons of same questions (how to build a working version, why don't work for TT xxx, etc.)

I install version 8.01 on TomTom ONE (Basic Pack + TTSystem for all except gox10 from the first post)

All working fine except for the VOICE.

When I power ON TomTom I can hear TT sound, but in navigation there's no VOICE. I tried to change voice trought menu with no lucky...

Any1 experiencing that problem??

Hello all,

Finally I fixed my computer voices problem in restoring old computer voices and now TTS is perfect in demo mode and in real driving mode.
I noticed that this version react much faster than the previous one for example in conversational voice recognition, we don't have to wait forever to aknowladge the recognition to proceed to enter vocaly the destination address, before it was too long to wait.
Once again thanks for this new version which seems to be better than ever.

My ONE V4 and ONE V2 are working perfectly with 8.010. I overwrite a "working" nav7 with nav8 basic files + TTsystem (map7), reboot and then, copy the map8, reboot and enjoy :D

Biggest problem with Rapidshare is the damn waiting........ way too long a time for multible files. There are much better alternatives.

i have a intersting problem. I have a tt one v3 1GB internal without SD card. I have a working modded SD card installed (2Gb). I'm using the new SE 8.010.9369 with the north america 2gb 8.05 map, with dummy cspeech files.

My question is when i'm using the new navcore with the xls or orig emu switch I can get tts to work... but no lane change or IQ routing.

But if I use x20, or no switch at all I get lane change, and IQ... but no TTS...

Do u have any ideas how I could get TTS, with Lane change and IQ routing?

If you have the correctly files for TTS and use the switches XLS, then so says a testing user, then you can use the TTS-function on a TT one.. (which TT1Vx, i don`t know)

i am searching by my self for the correct files (LoquendoTTS)


Update: If you use the switches XLS you lost the function IQ-Routes and 3DPictures on TT1Vx

You can find a folder called map in the root of your TomTom. In this folder is a file with the extension tlv.

This file is used for display the version information in TThome. Just delete the tlv file and the version will correctly displayed in TThome

I have noticed a slight problem with the patched Navcore 8.010.I am not able to use the TomTom traffic or weather option anymore,infact I can't put my username or password through TomTom as it tells me service is not available?

I have a simular problem. Navcore version shows incorrectly in TT Home. Still shows the old 7.4. [I got 8.010] TTuser gave me a idea but didn't work out. But, my map version sows correctly in home. You have a simular fix for this as ya did for map version ? I realize it's really no big deal and has no effect on the 720's performance. Just a tweak thing.

Most install maps or navcores not over Home, only Home create this tlv. Then see in Folder Program and delete Application.tlv

You don't need the cspeech files...

it's only for X10, and fm transmitter mount owner.
if you ave a x10 and the special support for fm, you can use this switch file and use your car radio for instruction, alert, sound and music.

8.01 is working fine. Found one very interesting feature of your latest patch with changing text in the top left corner of details screen. Your patch not only changes this text but also somehow changes internal device name... I found that after changing my default "tomtom go 920" to something else, all my plus services which work through phone-tomtom go connection (traffic, weather, fuel prices) no longer works. Device gave following error message - "you need to establish connection with the phone or connect to tomtom home". Neither reestablishing connection with the phone (Bluetooth pairing and account and data setup) nor connection to tomtom home did not help to resolve this. Only after removing changedtext.txt I was able to have all plus service back. So it seems to me that you changed the name of the device, and connection script can no longer connect to the phone.

Does anybody know what this mean??

the tool 'tripmaster' does not work with 8.010 anymore. any idea how i can get it working on rider2?

Try to install tripmaster by TTH. On TT1(v4) tripmaster on 8.010 works as well as on 7.162 and 8.002. I have tested both: TM 1.8a and TM 2b10. And additionaly Offroad navigator 1.7b.
Firstly, if I just copy TM and OffRoad on SD - they don't want to start.
After installing by TTH - they work OK.

Bho!!! It's a problem for me...

I've got everything working except the sound warning when i aproach a speedcamera.
When i want use one of my own .ogg warning sounds, i'm loosing the sound completely, no sound with directions and no sound when i aproach a speedcamera.
Or need i diffrent .ogg files?

is there a fix for this?
I've a tomtom one xl, sw 8.010 (9369) map that i use is 7.201802.

This has been my problem all along both with v8.002 and v8.010
I have some POI with their own ogg speech warnings which play as well as any selected sound warnings. When ever one of these poi is reached, I lose all sound and have to s/w off. The unit then restarts itself. So it is nothing to do with cspeech files. Once the poi ogg file is deleted all is fine.

One more question. Does everybodies tomtom start up with the yellow loading bar or is there a way for it to just start normally.

I think this has to do with bitrate.
Try sampling it down to 22khz MONO - 16bit - VBR128

With ogg's with these settings my TT-One New Edition doesn't have this problem. I also had this problem with some of the downloaded voices. But as long as I use the old original TomTom voices (not the newer versions of the same voice) these problems don't apear.
