When your PPC is at the alignment part of the start up process simply plug it into your computer and let activesync run. You do not need to set up a partnership at this time to do this.

Explore your PPC and go to the windows folder and then to the startup folder and delete the welcome file in there.

Soft reset your PPC

Im working on a project that requires a basic file explorer application for WM2003.

The catch is I cant install a .cab file or install an application via activesync, so im having a hard time finding a file explorer that i can just copy to my device.

It would be great if sombody could supply me with a single .exe or a file explorer that i can just copy to my device and execute.

EDIT: My device is running a watered down version of wm2003 (Win Core 4.2) so even if sombody could share the .exe for the built in wm2003 file explorer from there wm2003 device.

Indeed, however you have to understand that i have no way of executing a cab file yet (that's what the file manager will be used for)

Ill explain my situation and hopefully it will make sence.

My GPS, when booted... Loads to a proprietary menu that has 2 options.

1) GPS
2) Entertainment

The 2 options abviously link to a directory and executable.

The only way I can execute an alternative application is to place it on the device and rename the applications folder/.exe to match the one the menu links too.

For example, I removed the default media player by copying TCMP to my device and renamed the folder and .exe to be the same as the default one.

So what i need is a file explorer that i can do the same with, the catch is...

It has to be a ppc2003 EXE. No Cabs or Activesync installers that need to be ran on a PC.

i am using an HTC Touch Diamond (Wm 6.1 pro) ppc.

i have tried several Call Recording softwares named:

Resco Audio recorder
Vito AudioNotes
PMRecorder

They can only record my sound and if my speaker is open then they can record the sound of the caller a little bit. As i have read this is a limitation in Windows Mobile phones. So is there any way to hack this problem?

Since then a couple of new versions have been released, If anyone could arrange for it or crack the latest release, I'd be really happy and thankful.

ok, so everywhere i read says Palm can now play Local (saved) FLV (youtube) videos on the Palm OS.

I have a TUNGSTEN T2
a Lexar 2GB SD Card

I tried Kinoma EX4.1 (it saw the FLV files, brought it in but then messaged - Out of Memory and locked up. But there's 20 megs on the PDA and 1gb on the card... it was an 8meg file)

Coreplayer 1.2.4

also TCPMP (the latest vs2008 build with all plugins) -- this one would not let me add the programs files to the PDA or Card. This would not even play MP3 actually.

hi there!! i'm using the diamond to get my emails from gmail... but when i read them, and then i delete the emails, in gmail those emails are also deleted from incoming folder, and go to the folder: all emails...

is there anyway so i can receive the gmails emails, read them, and if i want to delete it in my diamond, the emails could stay at the same time in the incoming emails in the gmail (acessed by net in the pc)?

hi there! i ha ve installed pocket informan, and i use it to manage my contacts..
i also use diamondtweaks in my htc diamond, and i set the right softkey to be contacts...
when i go to Star menu->contacts, the contacts list is open throught pocketinformant, and that is what should happen... the problem is that when i tap in the right softbuttom (which is set to open contacts) it opens the native contacts program that comes with default for diamond...
is there a way to put that softkey to open contacts trought pocketinformant??

so Coreplayer 1.2.4 PLAYS on my Palm Tungsten T2 (OS5)

however, after playing a bit I get OUT OF MEMORY !

then it locks up and crashes to where i need to reset the device. If I don't I get MemoryMgr errors.

Anyone know why?

It mostly happens after I try to play FLV files on the Tungsten T2. But has happened without. (and yes, it will play FLV for a few seconds nicely.)

I increased the buffers and set it to decode on Storage card.

Still the problem.

--> I want to use Coreplayer because TCPMP is not loud enough even with Preamp at 100%, and it wont play WMA (i dont care so much if nothing will play FLV)

Can anyone help with stopping Core Player 4.1EX from crashing
Can anyone say how to make Audio louder in TCPMP (it's version .66, the only one that will play correctly on Palm OS5)

I'm guessing FLV is a NO on both, and WMA is a no on TCPMP (i did find a AAC plugin which i read is wma? but no go....)

I have googled a lot for this stuff.... cant seem to find it.

But is there any software that can give "out of coverage area" message to anyone/someone who is making a call to my phone ??

SPB Pocket Plus lets me put the phone in "flight mode" but the caller gets "phone is switched off" message.

Any help/leads would be greatly appreciated :)

Should work with any WM device.
There is another app called Advanced Configuration Tool, it has many tweaks including timed data disable.
You must install .net compact framework ver 3.5 in order for it to run.
Read about it here

I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but:

I need an older ROM - Palm IIIc precisely [v3.5]- to test my software. The old Palm Source site had it, but new one - ACCESS - does not.

I looked everywhere and there isn't one available for download... so, I'm asking if anyone can upload one or something, I would be most grateful.

I'd transfer my ROM from my ol' trusty IIIc, but it's Serial Port electronics are fried, so I do it all over IR... alternatively, "Transfer_ROM.prc" version or some other program that would allow me to transfer ROM over IR would be helpful as well. [I mount IR receiver as COM port on my PC, so POSE supporting only COM/USB communication isn't a problem.]

I guess and application that can dump the ROM file [around 1.5 MB] into RAM [Around 7 MB free at the moment] would do the trick as well.

ALSO: Anyone has serial or cracked version of Mulberrysoft DietOrganizer v1.2 Mobile for Palm? Searched far and wide and couldn't find it.

not ANY luck again!!! there is no option to manually conect or disconnet to the gprs. my phone is a htc diamond with shine one 2.5 . i need to activate the gprs manually somehow. in older wm phone i was clicking on the G and then below it poped up a screen letting me connect. now it not there and it only says settings.....

Again, anyone seen the new version of Spb Traveler?

I really don't know what you're asking for? Below is a screen shot of Advanced
Config from my Tilt, showing a disable GPRS tweak.
There is also extra buttons to add to the Comm Mgr which will disable HSDPA that I use to conserve battery. It's a GREAT FREE app.
From what I've read on the forums at XDA developers, many people with Diamonds use both No Data & Advance Config with no problems. You might try posting there under the threads for the HTC Diamond. If you do post there, make sure you throughly search out what you are looking for first, because they don't like redundant posts on that site.
