Means that if I backup my whole data in a WM5 ROm in K Jam. Then I flash WM6 Rom in it. Would it be wise that I restore the previous backup in that new WM6 Rom. Would it work or do any harm to the OS?.

turn your wifi on within the phone
then go to programs and look for app called "QuickGPS"
run it it will say download click on it

once download to 100%
then try tom tom or the other one give it few min

Friends. in my kjam The asterisk * button doesn't work in games. Where as it is right and it works when I dial a number etc. I need to know is there any patch to make it work. Core Player V1.30 or TCPMP with FLV plugins work good. Both won't play On2 codecs though. I don't know of any PPC player that supports the On2 codec. There is also HTC Streaming Media Player.You can find TCPMP and Streaming Media Player at XDA developers if it isn't posted here.:good2:

Hey, a bit of trouble. I've been doing some tweaks and stuff on my HTC Mogul (PPC6800) and i'm not sure if a registry problem is causing this but when I slide the phone open. My 5-way nav. keys dont work at all on any program. It works fine in Portrait mode so i know the keys do function but they wont work at all in Landscape. I highly highly doubt theres any possible way. The security enabled wifi are locked and made to be very secure. They encryption key that it provides is usually long and random and if the user set the key then it is personal.

Yeah, youre right they do store it to the server. Unfortunately I'm not sure if there are any. Well, I don't know of any. That would be useful. :sorry:

Hey just wondering if someone can lead me to the right direction. I have the AT&T Tilt and im looking for a good messenger that will only work during WiFi. I have tried slick, fring, and mundu but all start using the 3g att network if im out of wifi range...or if my phone goes on standby and i turn it on the 3g network starts up cause the messenger program is on and searching for something. Is there any mobile messenger out there that just uses wifi...so if it goes on standby or if i go out of wifi area it doesnt start using the 3g network but just signs out until i get to a wifi hotspot?

I have a constant problem with the GPS on my Asus A696 (wm6). every time that i use a navigating software such as : "Oziexplorer" or " CompeGps", I turn on the GPS and it works good, but if I turn off the GPS, or if before I turned it on- there was another navigating software on- I can't connect the GPS again, until I soft reset the PDA!!!. I just don't get it why it keeps doing it. i tried hard-reset,and to leave just one program working, tried to change the GPS settings in the software but nothing seems to help. I know that these softwares run perfectly fine with other devices (and in mine too, but I have to soft-reset all the time!!!). The only software that works without these problems is The IGO8- but it doesn't help me with navigating like the OZIexplorer...
I will be happy for any help/

I am kinda a newbie to WM coming from years of UIQ. It's a great system but I am a bit overwhelmed by the resources out there - thousands of APPS, GAMES, TWEAKS, MODS, etc. I have found Smartphone and Pocket PC Magazine ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) to be a great guide to best APPS, GAMES, and such. Only problem is I can't find free downloads of the magazine. Can anyone assist with links to free download sites?

hi, new here, and am overwhelmed, i have just got a touch HD, first pocket pc i have had, previous was S.E. phones, so looking at the boards this phone may be a bit overkill for me for my first. but ideally i want to install a satnav software. and there seems to be a few to choose from, and many threads with different versions, and maps, and loads of other bits.
Could someone kindly point me to a thread with the best info, i am thinking of going with tomtom (or igo8?) what is the best please and could you show me a thread with all the files needed for a fresh new install of the software, i d/l a tomtom file but its 195 megs - im thinking its just a update for existing owners at that size??

all i want at this time is a satnav with UK maps, dont really care for other maps or speed cams at moment, just want to try to install a basic bit of kit, the software, map and voice bit.
(also noticed a d/l i did had a trojan alert from my virus protection.)

Go to Search, Advance, then select the filter for PocketPC Palm Apps-Games. Finally, do your searce for map. You should get lots of hits for your device. Hope this helps.

Resco Audio Recorder works great. Make sure in the Options menu/General under the phone tab you uncheck record in back round or it will only record your side of the conversation.( it's available on this site)

I just got a BT headset, connected it to the omnia - working good with calls, but with music the sound goes to the omnia's speaker...

After searching I found on this thread (from 2006):

yet it was no good...

So... dose any1 have a cab file that makes the omnia transmit all audio so a mono BT headset?

As some say, it's impossible (depends on your ROM) and it's not worth it (cause of hardware limitations and hard changes you'll need to make)...

can u help me, i have htc touch, by mistakenly i installed arabic language in it from extended rom folder seen in resco explorer, and after , all the language changed into arabic, at last i could remove it and got back into english, but unfortunately, now the default keyboard language is arabia and farsi, and also the day name showing in arabi in the today screen, but i changed it from the regional settings,after that it says to restart my device, i dont know how to restart, does it mean soft reset, if so, i did it, but when after soft reset, day name and keyboard language is still in arabic mode, how to change it? Can u please help me
:Note: phone language is in english only, but only keyboard and day name is arabic

when i install any version of Coreplayer it shows The program's installation was unsuccessfull.
and when i install TCPMP it gets installed successfully but when i try open it, the program crashes leaving a file named Crash.txt in device memory.
i guess both players will not work in my Touch Viva bcoz its based on Windows Mobile 6.1
this version is advanced than b4 ones.
let me know wats ur Sugestion.
