Installation guide

Install first the cab file and then run the program

When requested insert the serial
46CFN-N2MJH-FS2F5-HDF32-NA2F2

BUT be carefull . You must change the first two numbers i.e. you can make the 46CFN TO 48CFN.

The program will give you then serial number (8 digits)
go then to

Well that my problem so far. Voices and map.
I am downlading the original DVD.
Try to create a map folder and copy paste yr map here.
Try and tell us yr results.

I've downloaded all 26 parts and tried running the setup but it keeps telling me the files cannot be read. The CFM files when I double click them cannot be opened. Is there any other way of getting the map data and voices onto the device? The program installed correctly and the registration tip worked well for me.

Hi well I took it out for a test run and it all works ok except I dont have the voices , I put the Australia map into the copilot folder on the SD card and it ran perfect but without voice so now I need some kind person to upload the voice folder for me . There is one small problem though when Copilot is running it turns on the Bluetooth on my Ipaq 2790 even though I dont have Bluetooth Gps I have a Haicom CF Gps but I get a good fix with it .

In Copliot Central, Click Manage, Syncronize your Device

Install Maps and Voices as Desired all FREE.

There are voices for nearly every common language.

In my installation the TMC option is greyed out and only the GPRS option available.
I tried modifying some of the CFG files but had no luck.

hi, well i was able to download and install on my JasJam Copilot Live 7 and downloaded the Aust map but cant get the copilot to show the map, tried putting the map file in the copilot file and nothing, but come to the conclusion that i need that Copilot Central, and to get that i'll need to also download all those other files and for me that would take forever, so asking if anyone has that program i can download or point me in the right direction i would be forever greatfull.

Open Copilot central go to Manage / create map and you can export to your PC ot PDA any map you like

The only thing that I did different was to use the Aussie Map from the first page of this thread which is just the Aussie Map on its own and then downloaded the Zip file for Speeches and then installed them and it works great

Thanks so much for uploading the links, I was able to get most of them. There are a couple problems though.

These links are invalid. It says that the file was deleted by the user or the administrator.

Hi guys, I've downloaded Copilot and it seems to work, but I can't figure how to make it recognize the voices folder. I've put the voice folder "INFO" into the "Copilot" folder (located on top of the storage card) but seems that it's not working... any help?

Hi, The actual directory for speech files installed on touch diamond is:
\Internal Storage\program files\copilot\SPEECH..this folder you must create yourself then paste the speech folder files that you download from the previous link (eg en-au)...become.....\SPEECH\en-au\Jessica..this is an example for australia voice version....I have tested on my touch diamond and work 100%....Thanks for all the helps...:excited:

Can someone make a quick how to install for dummies? In the 7.7.0.134.rar there are several dirs. Do i need to copy them at the root of my SD card? Do i need to install to SD card or main memory? Please help

For South africa map to be recognised put the unzipped content to SD Card/Copilot and rename the africa folder to AF. This worked for me, though the map does not show street level data only cities are shown.

Installation OK, registration OK, but some features were locked (for example TMC is locked)...
Any idea?

If you can't see street level data (or any other feature is missing) you much alter your Serial Number. It is the key to unlocking the features that you need.

To see what is available to you, go to menu->settings->Licensing

This will list the features that you can use.

Good Luck!

As for installations, here is what i did:

1. Install the cab file for your version of WM (in my case i am using WM6.1 so i installed copilot.wm6ppc.cab)
2. copy the following folders from "7.7.0.134.rar" to the root folder of your SD Card

resource

private

sys

3. Create a folder in the SD Card\Copilot folder named "speech"
4. Copy the speech files (from where ever you downloaded them from), in my case I copied en-us into the "speech" folder.
5. Copy map files to SD Card\copilot\EU (data, polygons, places, etc)
6. Run Copilot and you should see a screen that says "integrating data" or something along those lines.
7. Done!

For people with DVD (Copilot Central) and if you are finding that your Central DVD isn't updating, please follow the steps below.

If it's not an HTC device you can update your CoPilot via CoPilot Central, before doing it check if you have the latest Central Version 0.5.108.0 if not follow the steps below:

1. Please ensure you have exited CoPilot Central on your PC

2. Download the Central Update by going to [Only registered and activated users can see links] and click OPEN / RUN when asked to in your web browser.

3. You should see a message saying "This patch will update CoPilot Central to the latest version". Click OK to proceed

4. Click START and the update will start extracting files to the default location where CoPilot Central is installed to - this should be C:\Program Files\CoPilot\Central - if you have installed CoPilot Central to a different location, please ensure that the patch is installed to the appropriate location.
5. Once complete, start CoPilot Central and go into HELP | ABOUT and you should now see 0.5.108.0

Why cant I see streets on the maps? I installed from the CD, streets show up on the computer but when I transfer the maps to my PDA I can only see city names on maps but no street lvl detail....

I want to load France and UK but if I load one it works, try to unzip another and place it in it complains it wants to overwrite existing data in the EU folder - so effectively I can only place one map in there at a time.

Been at this hours so if anyone has any advice please share.

I am going to play with it some more and let you know if I enable all of the street level detail.

I've been trying several and have come the closest with my last one that activates Live, subscription services, and access to EU maps (not sure what that means excatly) and finally got it to show one of the 4 us regions I tried to put in instead of all 4. However, I did not get the option you did to select a home city AND for some reason its a truckers version... :confused: I know you won't be able to activate it with this one but I'll give you it for the example.

That's right you need Copilot Central plus the whole DVD to make the custom maps....in other words, you need the whole DVD :oops2:

Check out the below link. On here are downloads from r'share for Copilot Central.

I downloaded these at the weekend, and can confirm all links worked, and the Copilot Central DVD was successfully created and then installed. :excited:

In this thread on IP Mart there is a patch for Central. Remember to apply this upgrade patch so it updates it to the newest version. This fixes some problem to do with Central updating..

1)extract all files to cplt7 folder.
2)inside this folder rename:
a) cplt7_Install Disc.txt to cplt7_Install Disc.mdf
b) Speech.txt to speech.rar
c) cplt7_Install Disc.mdstxt to cplt7_Install Disc.mds
3)burn mdf file to dvd or extract it (using for example poweriso)

I dont think you have done anything wrong. Copilot gives you a free city map you can download onto your device. You need to get past this and then you should see your Australian map available. But you need to activate it which you can see from this forum can be difficult. :ashamed:

ok i got past all of the problems but how do i activate it? i mean like where do i start? can someone help me step by step because the program started normally but i need to activate the australia map....where do i put the code??

i never got a serial number so where do i get it?

I put in a Product key which is not valid. Now I cannot delete the one that I entered to try to enter another one. Any ideas?

Secondly - when I entered the first key, it gave me a NINE digit Licence number (and the website requires an EIGHT digit key.

for the 1st time its workin properly
but when i exit and trying to start it again on my
samsung omnia it gives me the following error

oh really? how strange, mine worked straight after activation, and with Australian map also, as I am from Australia. I put the AU map folder in Copilot folder and then started it up and all worked. Im running it off a HTC Diamond flawlessly.

have no idea :)...I did the same thing, installed Copilot on storage card, then copy AU folder of Australia map to \storage card\program files\Copilot\ but not work after activate, before that when still on trial days...it's work.

Copilot is a nice piece of software. It's a shame they don't offer a NA demo.

Thank i know its works but when i go on map of middle east it sonly show me main road and when i go to licence its sais asia is locked.lik eits got X on it.

If this Professional features is green that means that you'll be able to select from more regions.

As I understand it, there is a diamond specific release - version 7.7.1.280. The normal version is 7.7.0.134.

Can someone confirm for definite that the DVD multi-file RS download contains this diamond version? Its a heck of a big download to find that it doesn't... :)

Better still, can someone upload just the diamond cab installer file for 7.7.1.280? I'm assuming at this stage that it still works with exisitng speech files, maps etc.

i just installed CPL7 Truck Edition, and it worked fine. After copying D-A-CH Card Image files to the program folder, the app started but was immediately terminated. Do you know that problem?

ai get an eror when activating product.it says :
