Install, launch program, pick language, voice, and up to the point where it says U have no maps. While activesynced, it'll bring up IE and let download a free map of your choice. (they're small city specific maps u can choose from..).

Once downloaded, it lets u choose where u want to install the map (choose SD card). Restarting tomtom and its all going well :good2:

It was easy. I think maybe its coz I had TT6 installed already...
When I ran the TT7 cab file - it just asked if I wanted to install, if so it would over right TT6...I said yes

I've activated 6.75 Maps, i'll try as soon as possible with 7.... Maps.
You've to copy the file mid in the Activation program folder if there isn't in the list.

However, albixo, you need to patch TT7 .exe file, and then generate .dct for your device, in order to map v7 works!

Finally my TT7 works on my HTC 3300.
As said in this thread, exe file needs to be patched as well as the map. I'm currently using Western Europe map and works fine. Map ver 7.20.

Look in the folder where TomTom Navigator.exe is installed, there should be a file called ttnavigator.bif

and now - this file is for VGA PPC ?? when i install this file TT7 has too big fonts

OK it seems that everyone is getting there map working, i'm not sure if it's only me but i finally figured out how to activate map. but it seems that the USA and Canada map does not work, it says "OK" when i use the keygen to activate it but when i put it on my htc kaiser, it still wouldn't work it keeps saying "Activation failed Sorry this is not the correct activation code for the product USA_and_Canada", can someone please help me. I've spent countless hours on this already and am about to give up

Just a wild idea - did you remove the space from your device ID?

The device ID needs to be input as a continuous string of characters without the space.

COuld you explain how you did get it working, i also have a touch and can install TT7 just fine, but it keeps giving an error: no maps found.
While i have an activated map on my SD card.

It seems it does not know where the maps are located.

hey guys, can you please try to post an already instaled TT7 on your pocket pc??? i've tried to instal on my asus P535 and it shotdown my bluetooth driver, and i wasn't unabble to use it anymore, i had to do a reset even after unnistaling TT7 form device :S

Works perfect on MDA pro WM5.
But not installable on IPAQ Hx2490. After installation softreset is required. After softreset no Bluetooth support at all only hardreset will help.
But if I copy the Navigator folder ( installed on an other device) to SD card of hx2490 I can run TT7 from SD card and Bluetooth works perfect too.

Using the WM5_WM6 cab, I managed to get round the problem of not installing but when I try to run it it tells me the map (western europe) is not activated. I generated a DCT file and copied it across but it made no difference.
So I copied over the cracked exe but now I am told it is incompatible with my device!!!!

I seem to have a strange prob installing maps on Tomtom 7.450.9028 repack 3

Program is installed to SD "Storage Card\Programm Files\Navigator" normally

I activate maps DE_AT_CH_805_1801 with my ID and tt7_keygen and place the DE_AT_CH_805_1801 directory to the root of my SD card.

Start TomTom and it always shows "No map found".. :oops2:

I tried to put it also in the program dir with the same result..

Any ideas please?

The tomtom installs just fine and runs but im using map v720.1802 and when i start tomtom and go though the settings all i get is "sorry this is not the correct activation code for this product"

I found mine installing TomTom Home on my PC, then connecting my device to the PC.

this thread is pointless and a dupe post, just get the TomTom with installer from [Only registered and activated users can see links] which is the VGA version for the Diamond anyway
