I got USA_and_CANADA 815.2022 map working with my TomTom 7910.9185 using instructions in my post #564 this thread. Had to copy the meta info into the existing Meta.txt file for EasyUseTools first, then just follow the previous instructions.

I downloaded it before and have had no problem with the password

Well hoestly after 4/5 hours DL last night, every damn file in total was 14, i finally DL the whole rar, then every time i try to un-rar it i came up with that error.

No need to become rude..

I personally download the map without any problem (and so many other users, this post is also in the Tomtom section of the forum and no one reported problems).

Ensure that all the file are correctly downloaded and not corrupted and type the password carefully.

Ok...I got the app registered and the Southeast US maps loaded but my issue is voices. Do these maps contain navigation voices?

The voices are part of the program software, not part of the maps.

Ok, I think I'm at my end... I can't get a validation for the US_-_Western_Region-8

I tried the ActMAP v4.8 (As simple as the program is... I can't get a valid *.meta)

I also tried easyusetools... Ran the RunMeforAllAutomatic.. FAILED Ran the RunMeforDCT.. says the Meta is not supported....

SO... anyone else tried to get a working US_-_Western_Region-8.meta??

Anybody know HOW to get the tt7 start icon in programs with my X1? I installed the today plugin and it shows up there in very BIG style, but clicking on it brings up nothing. I have to start tt7 by going to the exe file and click that one.
I'd appreciate any tip that could lead to the creation of an icon to start tt7 in programs in my SonyEricsson X1i (WM6.1 pro). Thanks

Hi!

Use the file manager / explorer. Go to the folder with the program, hold the stylus over the file, choose copy. Then go to the start-menu folder programs that you find in your windows folder, hold stylus, choose paste shortcut. Then rename if necessary.

Very simple once you know how, tricky before.

I now have divided my programs folder inte several folders, one with games, another with tweaking software, a third with navi etc.

You need to download a car Icon you want and then follow the following instructions.
Create the following directory:

Navigator/art/cars/

The navigator folder will be where ever you installed TT7 on your device

Copy the bitmap (*bmp) images of car icons into this directory

For Voices just download the required voice and place the files in the voices folder on your storage card.

Are you using TomTom 7?
If so then once you have copied car icons to the cars folder that you should have created already, all you have to do is go to change preferences and then to change car symbol and then click on the image that you want. It's as simple as that.

For voices go to change preferences and then to voice preferences and then to change voice and then select the voice that you want.

Then you should have no problems, can you find the car Icon menu and the voice icon menu in tomtom preferences?
If you can then all you must get right is where you place the voice files and the car images files that I have explained in the previous post.

Wanna change the arrow cursor of the map for a real car/bike?
The new version has already this function, but it is missing the cars Bmp files.
So, download them from here and copy them to the to a folder named Art, and put it on the Memory Card root.

Yes, 7.95 version works on ppc...and you can run 7/8 version maps on it.
The currently map you do have installed will work on this app, but you can also look for an 8 version map.

For ALL latest maps avalilable please have a look here:

Remember that to use the latest 8.35 maps you need to have TT application version 7.9xx.
Also check that the map is PDA compatible (Compatibility chart can be found here [Only registered and activated users can see links])


PS please don't ask for maps that don't exist... e.g. TT doesn't produce any Iran map.

The links for the USA and Canada maps aren't working. Is there any way we can get these re-upped?

You need to make a DCT file using one of several tools available - [Only registered and activated users can see links]
