Activating Maps
All these maps need to be activated using a new META file.
To do so, use the following Keygenerator:

For the lazyones, here it is a small software multilanguage (English, French and Spanish) that, should crack your Map (maps versions 5, 6 and 7) in a blink of an eye. All you need is to insert your Device ID and select the map to be cracked:

i can´t activate it :(

Can you activate this maps, i do with the easytools for activate and i can´t :(
it´s said me:

There is no such map in keyfile Meta.txt = Your Map is until now not supported

You should follow the instructions (see [Only registered and activated users can see links])

1-Copy the tt7_Keygen.exe to a directory (on the example it was created on C:\TomTom)

2- Put the map you wanna crack on a new directory inside the created before (on the example stays on C:\TomTom\Benelux Map)

3-Run the Keygen from the MS-Dos Prompt using the command:
Keygen_7.exe "Name of the map created on step 2" DeviceID

If the map is named Iberia then you should use the command:

Keygen_7.exe "Iberia" DeviceID

Your deviceID should be entered with no spaces (ex: AB635 FD436)

Then use: Keygen_7.exe "Iberia" AB635FD436

4-After that you should notice that inside the map it was created a new file (*.DCT)

5-Copy all the map Directory to your PPC Tomtom, and you should have it unlocked.

Hi dudes, download BeneluxV.715.1689 , just follow the instruction and got the DCT file, which put in the benelux map folder, but when start PPC, tomtom 7 indicates, error activation, just use the same methode to activate FRANCE 720.1802 maps with the meta.txt serial and the france meta file to activate the map, here it work, but for BENELUX no chance, All help are the most welcome dudes.

ps : PPC tomtom 7.450 (9028), id device : AB8ZN DMXRA.

I've found out version 8 of some TomTom maps.
I haven't yet tried them, but still, I'll leave you the download links, for you to try. It seems that the way to crack them, is similar to the ones from version 7 (please read above on this post).

I tried to activate the Italy 720.1802 Map using the keygen from the command prompt but the system said "Wrong DeviceID symbols" so I tried the "RunMeforDCT.cmd" script and I was able to create the DCT file but TomTom said that the activation code is not correct.

Any idea?

The password is correct. Make sure your are typing it correctly. Pay attention to the fact that the first letter (J) is capps. So you should have it:

Devices ID are a combine of letters and number that you can check on your Tom Tom, clicking on the map view on the right lowest zone of your screen, and then clicking on the version. if it AA234 BB234, replace on the comand prompt DEVICEID for AA234BB234. I'm not sure if these maps work. Like I said, I haven't test them yet. Although I'm sure that there isn't a TT8 Navigator, at least for now. My doubt, is if these maps, are only for use on PNA with Navcore 8 installed.
Anyway, the best way to be sure, is test them.

Yes I saw the image/tutorial and I typed whitout any space.... the name folder is a problem? I gave the name Italy 720.1802 so I typed from the command line: tt7_keygen.exe "Italy 720.1802" DEVICEID (mydeviceid)

I activated map Eastern_Europe_720_1803 and Eastern_Europe_710_1571 with OK results - i used directory name from meta.txt - but TT7 said Activation code not valid.. Whats the problem?

Wanna change the arrow cursor of the map for a real car/bike?
The new version has already this function, but it is missing the cars Bmp files.
So, download them from here and copy them to the to a folder named Art, and put it on the Memory Card root.

(nevermind the Installation Instructions on this page, just save the images as *.bmp and copy to the tomtom root on a new folder named art). This should be enough to have the new cursors available on the menu of the Tomtom.

i've tried 3 different keygens... put in my device code without a space, generated .dct files but none of the 3 work! tomtom keeps giving me an activation failed when i try to select the map.

I got the dct created using tt7_keygen.exe in the folder "Singapore" . I put the folder "Singapore" in \Internal Storage\Program Files\Navigator of HTC Diamond. When I starts TT7, the program says no maps found. Please advise..

The name of the map folder should be Singapore (no "". You will only need them on the command prompt tt7_keygen.exe "singapore" DEVICEID).

Anyway, your problem seems to be the location of the map folder on your storage card. Probably there is a folder named My Documents, try to put this Singapore folder on it.

Small Advice: If you download a single city map, Tomtom will storage it automatically. Then, see where it is placed that map, and put your Singapore map, on same location.

Ok, you will need to download the Keygen (look for it on the 1st mesage of this post), and then unrar (for instante to the folder c:\tomtom).
Then put your map on the same folder (c:\tomtom\eastern_europe).
now open your ms-dos prompt, and go to tomtom folder (c:\tomtom)
There you should type the command:

tt7_keygen.exe "eastern_europe" AB5ZA95Y56

See the DCT file created on the Eastern Europe Map Folder?
It's done....
Now copy the folder to your pocket pc and you should have your map unlocked.

Mapshare is working fine!
(EDIT) Only now I undestood what you meant by working (since I was able to edit street name or invert traffic way)! You weren't able to download other's shares from TomTom one, right? I already solve this problem. What you have to do is simple:

Move your folder named navigator currently on \\\Intern geheugen\Navigator to \\Program Files\Navigator. Then throught the Pocket PC Explorer edit the shortcut to start tomtom right (since when you run, we will be looking for a file that was moved to another folder).
Now you may even delete the Intern geheugen folder.

I did this, and I was able to download mapshares throught TomTom Home.

Start by reading this post from message #1
Then you see that you will need to Unrar those files (password given on message #1)
Then you proceed reading the part Activating Maps from the same message, where the instructions to crack and install map are given.
try to follow the instructions and then, if you still having troubles post your doubts!

I didn't have time for that yet. Althought I have a friend that tried them on PNA (Go 520) and was sucessuful to crack them (not sure if it was with this keygen) and get the Advance Lane Guidance working.

The name of the map folder should be Singapore (no "". You will only need them on the command prompt tt7_keygen.exe "singapore" DEVICEID).

Anyway, your problem seems to be the location of the map folder on your storage card. Probably there is a folder named My Documents, try to put this Singapore folder on it.

Small Advice: If you download a single city map, Tomtom will storage it automatically. Then, see where it is placed that map, and put your Singapore map, on same location.

Thanks, it work that i've to put in the document folder. I got another problem, the dct i created using tt7_keygen is not a valid key. When i check the meta file for singapore:

However I can't get the speed voices for v6 to work.
Are there any speed voices available for Navigator 7?

All you need to do is crack the map, like you did with the keygen.
If everything went good on the cracking, but you still receiving the "Wrong Activation Key" message, instead of copying just the dct file from your computer to the HTC Diamond, try moving all the map folder (including the dct created) from your computer to the Pocket PC after cracking it.

Let me know if it worked out!

The device id is found by opening tomtom click on the bottom right button with the gps signal then hitting version again in the bottom right. It should be like Asomethingsomething

I just went ahead and downloaded the free map. After you do all that you can look at everything. or you can search for ttnavigator.bif and open it with an editor

For some reason when I open the keygen.exe it stays open for a split second and automatically closes. Would it be possible for anyone to make me the meta?

Thats because you just doubleclick on the keygen to open it.
1-Copy the Kegen folder to c:\KeyGen (using windows explorer)
2-Copy the map folder (let's assume that it's named USA_and_Canada, to to C:\Keygen\USA_and_Canada
3-Go through the start button on windows, then aplications, then MS-DOS Prompt. (There you have your Ms-Dos Window wide open.)
4-Then use command: cd\Keygen (you're up on the keygen folder)
5- Then do the command:

tt7_keygen.exe "USA_and_canada" AB7ZAAD4PA

That should do it

You can go back to windows explorer and copy map folder to your Pocket PC

Don't be lazy! If I'd give you the DCT File, you would be able to have your map...but in future, when you'd need an updated map, you would need another DCT. The best way to get it, it's to follow the steps. You've already gone further, obtaining your DeviceID, so your one step from cracking it. Follow the instrucions, and search addicional info on this post.

Yep...You're doing it the right way! It's strange that you won't get it to work...Anyway I've just wonder. If you have HTC Diamond, probably, you got it with the original TomTom. I'm not sure, but maybe you can try to uninstall it from your PPC, and use the Tomtom file I've posted on first page.

I'm not sure if this will work, but due to your unsucess activating the map, this should worth a try!

I finally got my maps working. for some reason the Tomtom cab on this forum and the one extracted from the HTC diamond wont work for me.

I downloaded the one on this thead and it worked.

the keygen recongnises maps via the maps.txt file in it's dir - try (back it up) deleting it and see if that works. I used the keygen with the repack3 without a maps.txt file and it activates my maps just fine.

AFAIK you need the original map to calculate the blowfish key. In other words you need the original DCT file from a map som1 bought to get the key to insert in the meta file. Then we can all use it. That's why some maps meta key is missing. We need some good souls to get us the key from their original map.

If you look at post #35 i think its in there. Then I just open the run me and follow the instructions and pasted that file back into the original map file. I also installed tomtom from a different poster somewhere in this thread.

WARNING: put too many POI (.ov2) files in your map directory and TT7 really slows down a heck of a lot. The same set of pocketgps speedcam pois i had on TT6 slow TT7 considerably. I can't use the speed zoned files as there's too many and my map updates really slowly with them there. It's OK with them consolidated by type (about 5/6 poi files).

That said, working fine on a HP Business Navigator 614c with WM6 so thanks!

To all having troubles activating the maps:
You're getting something like "There is no such map in keyfile Meta.txtMap" when you try to crack?
That's because the Meta file on keygen, doesn't have the code for your Map version.
Here it is a newer META file Updated on 24-06-2008. Just Replace this Meta on the Keygen folder.
Try it, and you'll happen to see your map cracked.

If you liked it, please reputate...

Concerning the previously posted Version 8 Maps.
I already test them, and they simply don't work on TomTom Navigator 7 so far.
Anyway, I collected addicional info on those maps, and got to know that, this versions are to be used on PNA (not PPC) with Navcore 8 installed (I also tested them on PNA and they do work).
However they do not have any addicional roads from the maps V7.
V8 Maps, used on PNA with navcore 8 just make the features IQ-Routes and Lane Guidance Advanced available.

So. if you have a Tomtom Pna, you may try them, if you just use Tomtom on your Pocket Pc, so far, V8 maps are useless.

Are you sure its not USA_and_Canada_720_1802 instead of 1803 I havent seen the 1803 map. Also check the device id you have two "A"'s at the beginning "USA_and_Canada_720_1803" AAB7ZAAM6PN"

Yes - it worked for me. The choice is a bit limited and they seem to be smaller coverage maps (don't think you'll get all of UK / USA etc.), but still good for free.

It looks like your from Australia, you probably downloaded Melbourne city map! You will notice that your map only has coverage for that city, and if you ll need to use in Sydney for instance, your map wont work! if you want you can get full Australia map on first message on this post and follow the instructions to get it cracked and ready to use on full Australia! I run TomTom 7 with the Western_Europe_1GB 720.1802 map from post 1 perfectly on my HTC Touch Cruise (Polaris). But when I try to use Western and Central Europe v720.1803 things get laggy, updating my possition only every 1,5-2 seconds.
I noticed the Western and central europe map vesion nr ending with 1803 in stead of western europe wich ends with 1802. Anyone know why? Is it the wrong version for TT Navigator?

Hope somone knows. I would like to run Western and central europe....

After further review, i had typoed twice in the first post i listed. however after i decided to quit being retarded and actually pay attention to what i was doing and started to understand the process better, i figured it out and felt like an idiot for actually having issues to begin with. hi, thank you for your reply. however, that map you refer to is not it. it may be have the similar version number, but this is the 2gb version. it has a lot more detail. it has side walks and in most cities, it has the floor plan of the house or the building. it even shows your swimining pool. i can attest that it work because my house plan look like the one in the map.

the larger file size difference mainly attribute to the tts speech file, but the main map files are only about 10-20% larger, but you can not tell how much more data it main contain due to compression level. but one can assume that new map has higher compression ratio than previously release map.

anyhow. using the tool provided on this thread, i was able to extract the meta key for this version of the map:

No! V7 maps, only work with Tomtom 7 Navigator....You can also find the Tomtom 7 on this thread! Look for it on the bottom of the first post.

I recommend you to download the city map free from tomtom (connect your Pda to a Computer that has internet, choose the city, and start downloading), and see where the map is set. Further maps downloaded from this thread should be put on the same folder.

Why Would you wanna have it running on TT6?
The answer for your question is no, TT6 won't run maps from version 7.
Anyway, and since I also made available the new TT7 of the first post of this thread, I don't really understand why would you wanna keep your TT6 installed. Remember that with the TT7 you can make corrections on your map (change street name, invert traffic way...etc), and get access to mapshare.
So I guess you'd better run your map v720.1803 from Western and Central Europe with th TT7....Get it on the message #1.

Okay I have spend about 10 hours trying to figure out the USa and Canada map but it still doesn't activate. Okay i created a Tomtom folder in c drive. Then I extracted the map file of USA and Canada in the Folder called USA Map moved in c:\Tomtom and in Tomtom Folder I also dropped meta.txt and tt7_keygen.exe. Then I did the Dos- c:\Tomtom\tt7_keygen.exe "USA map" AB8ZNAD5QE
Give me an error of >>>>> Can't find 'USA Map\*.meta' file

The way I see it, you're putting your deviceid wrong. I'm sure that that ain't your real DeviceID.
I'm not sure where did you get that ID, but you should do this:

with your TomTom on, clicking on signal bars on TomTom (bottom right edge of the screen) and then click on the version number 7.450 above! Your Device ID should be shown on the new screen.
Use that DEVICEID and you should have it done.

I also reccomend you to read the previously posts, since, this doubt has already been explained many times.

After this, run the command prompt as I said before, typing your real DeviceID, and tell me how it went.

Yes, I am from the US and Yes...I have TT7 working just fine with several of the maps including the US & Canada one. There are several of the regional maps that the meta isn't available for yet (at least I haven't been able to find it) and hence, you can not unlock them till you have that info. The meta info is in the unlocking program for US & Canada as well as the midwest & south east regional maps but all others I have not been able to find yet. If you follow the instructions "EXACTLY" and step by step....and read them carefully, it really isn't that hard.

You just replace the exe file with the cracked one on your memory card to get TomTom running.

I downloaded the Western+Central europe maps v720.1803 with the attached meta.txt file. Will these work on my soon to arrive Touch Cruise with TT7 installed? I think they were originally released for the PNA version instead of PDA. Has tomtom developed 2 different map systems or are they interchangeable?

You just replace the exe file with the cracked one on your memory card to get TomTom running.

Thanks d4nkie, but I have tomtom 7 running with no problems (free download map and patched UK & Ireland map from here are working). My problem is that I need the Hong Kong Map and there is no meta data shown for it on the meta.txt file, therefore I can't use the patcher to patch the HK map.

greek map does not exist as i know.
there is only athens map witch is good enough but only for athens-attiki.
i have dounloaded this map from the menu of tomtom for free and works fine.
if you need navigation for greece tomtom is not the best solution anyway

The way I see it, you're putting your deviceid wrong. I'm sure that that ain't your real DeviceID.
I'm not sure where did you get that ID, but you should do this:

with your TomTom on, clicking on signal bars on TomTom (bottom right edge of the screen) and then click on the version number 7.450 above! Your Device ID should be shown on the new screen.
Use that DEVICEID and you should have it done.

I have a mio 168 or MIO DIGIWALKER pocket pc. The strange thing is the software starts fine. If i dont install a map i can't go to the menu and if i install a map on my sd card then it can't activate. I found trough another program that this should be my devide id.

I really like to use it in brasil. If i know tt6 work with the brasil map. Then dont need the tt7. But gues this is only for tt7.

Mapshare is working fine!
(EDIT) Only now I undestood what you meant by working (since I was able to edit street name or invert traffic way)! You weren't able to download other's shares from TomTom one, right? I already solve this problem. What you have to do is simple:

Move your folder named navigator currently on \\\Intern geheugen\Navigator to \\Program Files\Navigator. Then throught the Pocket PC Explorer edit the shortcut to start tomtom right (since when you run, we will be looking for a file that was moved to another folder).
Now you may even delete the Intern geheugen folder.

I did this, and I was able to download mapshares throught TomTom Home.

Try it and let me know

When you start Tomtom without any map, it asks you to download free a single city map from Tomtom. Do it, connecting your PPC via USB to your computer or through wireless. Then with the city map, you should be able to go to the menu and have your device ID to crack other maps.

Another way it to connect your PPC to the computer, and through the Windows Explorer, open with notepad the file TTNavigator.bif (located on \\Program Files\Navigator). There, you should be able to see a line that says DeviceUniqueID=xxxxxxxxxxx
There you have your Device ID.

I downloaded the Western+Central europe maps v720.1803 with the attached meta.txt file. Will these work on my soon to arrive Touch Cruise with TT7 installed? I think they were originally released for the PNA version instead of PDA. Has tomtom developed 2 different map systems or are they interchangeable?

According to Tomtom, every map, works either on PNA or PPC tomtom versions. So, the map you have (Western+Central europe maps v720.1803) will work well on your HTC Touch Cruise. In fact these maps were originally released for PNA when there wasn't Tomtom Navigator 7. Now, with the release of Navigator 7, these maps can also be use on PPC version.

That's strange...
It worked fine for me on an HTC Touch Cruise.
My map is Iberia, but according to other users, this works for any map.
Are you sure you're doing it well?

I managed to install TomTom7 on my Trinity with WM6.1 ROM no problem, downloaded the demo map - no problem.

Downloaded the Western Europe map, used the keygen with the correct deviceid and folder name and quotes e.t.c - result said ok, transferred to PDA, and it says activation failed.

I've tried moving the map folder into my documents, and other things to get it to work, and it wont.

I "believe" i've done all the other things that previous posters have said to do to make the map activation process function correctly, and double checked it all, but no dice unfortunately.

I've gone back to my own purchased version of TomTom Navigator 6, but it's a shame because the performance of 7 is so much better - 6 seems really sluggish in comparison.

Thanks for your efforts though.

EDIT - All works correctly now - you HAVE to use the cracked TomTomNavigator.exe on page 1 of this thread - I got mine from another thread and this caused the map to fail - after patching the exe with the one from page one - the map works fine.

Ya sure I can help you out. Go on your sd card and find the file ttmobile.bif. Open it with your notepad and you can get yrou device i.d from there. Hope that helps!

I've managed to get my Device ID (AB6HSA5XPN) and I'm trying to get the UK and ROI map and the Hong Kong maps running.

I'm having a problem getting the patched/cracked TomTomNavigator.exe file to work on my Axim X51v running WM6.1 (A06-Lenny's version). As soon as it starts running, I get a message that "Your device is not compatible with this version of TomTom Navigator." The VGA repack will at least start working, but fails after getting a browser message that it cannot download the free map.

I've removed all traces of TT6 and previous attempts to install TT7 and still get the same results. Any ideas on what I'm missing?

You should follow the instructions (see [Only registered and activated users can see links])

1-Copy the tt7_Keygen.exe to a directory (on the example it was created on C:\TomTom)

2- Put the map you wanna crack on a new directory inside the created before (on the example stays on C:\TomTom\Benelux Map)

3-Run the Keygen from the MS-Dos Prompt using the command:
Keygen_7.exe "Name of the map created on step 2" DeviceID

If the map is named Iberia then you should use the command:

Keygen_7.exe "Iberia" DeviceID

Your deviceID should be entered with no spaces (ex: AB635 FD436)

Then use: Keygen_7.exe "Iberia" AB635FD436

4-After that you should notice that inside the map it was created a new file (*.DCT)

5-Copy all the map Directory to your PPC Tomtom, and you should have it unlocked.

hi everyone i have a ipaq 214 installed tomtom on it and all is working but cant get bluetooth to switch on and now keeps coming up with BTTrayCE the bluetooth radio failed to turn on due to insufficient memory you must perform a normal reset before you can turn on the bluetooth radio when i do the reset still get the same error if i hard reset the error not there without tomtom loaded but then when i reload tomtom the error comes up again

About the question about V8 maps (which I've already cleared it before):

V8 maps don't work so far on Tomtom Navigator 7.
In fact, they are equal to the maps V7, adding only two new features: IQ-Routes and Lane Advanced Guidance.
But these features, so far are only available for PNA with Navcore 8 installed, so these maps are useless for Pocket PC Users.
Anyway, notice that the map of V8, has the same roads of the V7.20, only have those features compatibility.

Hi,

I've tried to run tt7 and I have a problem to use any map.

Even though it's been said manytimes here, how to get the device id, I just can't get it by any way. Anytime I run tomtom.exe, the program starts smoothly. If I have a map on my SD card, not activated, it says - activation fails, the code is not valid - or something like that, and then it only offers me a voucher.

If I have no map on my SD card, it offers me to download a free map. I can't get to the point that I could acces the ID. The only choice I have is an internet explorer to download something. I used two different maps and both same.

TT reinstall doesn't help. Always bad code and voucher, od free download.

I'm having a doubt, that I think,the PPC Tomtom expert users might clear:

On another post ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) I saw the TTS (text-to-Speech) voices links, that (for those who are unknown to the term) can read the street names for you when giving you the instruccions, using a computer voice. For instance, instead of just saying: "Turn Left", these voices can say "Turn Lef to the 5th Avenue". Any way, when the TTS voices were posted, there wasn't any Tomtom Navigator 7 (just the 6 version), and I'm sure that's why there are some replies saying that those voices don't work on TomTom Navigator. But now, 7 version of navigator was already released.

So I just took the time to test it on my ppc, but, following the instruccions of Russel2, I couldn't get sucess. I did on a PNA Tomtom, and actually it worked on the PNA, but not on PPC (Tomtom Navigator).

However, and since I also have IGO 8 on my PPC installed, I tried to make a google search on TTS, and just happened to find, a kind of ajustment to make Tomtom TTS voices to work on IGO. I tested them and it did worked.

Now I'm wondering, if it works on IGO 8 (and the voices come from Tomtom), I'm sure there is a way to make these TTS voices work on TomTom Navigator 7.

Does anybody of you, discover a way to get these TTS voices work?

Just reporting that USA_and_Canada_720.1803.rar 771.81 mb does not with a TomTom One 3rd Edition. TomTom Home v2 reports no updates available to download firmware wise, so it's up to date.

I erased my previous USA_and_Canada folder and copied over my deviceID specific activated USA_and_Canada map.

When you select a map, Guam or USA and Canada, a red background comes up and says,

"Problem with map"
"You cannot use this map on this device: USA_and_Canada"

Finally i got everything working in prompt.

But now mij TT one xl with 8.010 is saying : problem with map "you cannot use this map on this device"

Map i tried :Eastern_Europe_720-1803 from page 1

Please help i did my best getting everything working in dos prompt (several hours). And red the whole topic.

tried both methods to crack the Australia map but still does not work?
No errors appear .. when I copy the map file with the .dct file, run tomtom 7 and it still asks me to activate the map?

Use the ActvMap 4.8 available on message #1 to get your map cracked.
You should have it done in a blink of an eye....

V7 is simple. The only thing I'm wondering is why they didn't individualize the Canada map like in v5 where it was only 80MB. Now it's 800 because of the US map...I need a 2GB card now.

I am just wondering how to tell if map is newest version available (free or not don't matter) I work in a lot of "new construction" areas and have a hard time finding gps maps that are "truly" up to date... I have made progress....copied the 1GB europe maps onto the sd card and ran Activmap 4.8

Now shows as a downloaded map in TT HOME but when I go to menu and manage maps it doesn't show in the swap map list....what have I missed out?

I guess your putting yor map in the wrong folder.
If you had downloaded a free city map, browse your SD card, and see where it stays. Now put your wanted map (after cracking it) on the same folder.

That should do it.

HI MEMBERS,

I'm new to this. I tried following all the steps posted on using tt7-keygen, but I have been unsuccessful on being able to create the two files needed to activate the USA_and_canada map. the step i get lost on is after entering everything to the command prompt, i receive "OK" but no files created in the directory. My device id is AB9HACV7RA. Any help or advice would be helpful. Thank you.

there is only one file. Attached is what u need. Unzip it and put it in ur usa_and_canada map folder. This meta file is for 720_1803 map

I'm new to this, so pardon my comments if they are naive. Also this post is moostly directed to the users for North America.
Google maps mobile is free, fast, accurate and constantly updated including traffic updates. As a matter of fact TomTom made a deal with google to joint their efforts. So why not just install google maps mobile on the device and avoiding all the hassle of keys, upgrades and updates when google does it daily and for free ?

Or am I flat wrong and I'm not understanding the concept of GPS maps on smartphones?

Please note that for activating GPS feature on the device you might need to update the ROM form the provider or manufaturer website.

I own HTC 6800 AKA Mogul from Sprint

Google maps is good to tell you where you are.

But these other applications like TomTom, iGo, Mapking can "tell" you how to get from point A to point B with turn by turn navigation. U just have to tell it I want to go to point B, and the application will "tell" you how to get there.. and when I say "tell" it means there'll be a voice telling you to turn left or right at the junctions.. :dance:

For the love of God.. I cant activate the US_and Canada map. I tried the app in the first post it asked me for the device ID and then asked me where the meta file for the map was. I browsed to that meta file in the map folder and the activation said comlete. I saw the file.dct created in the map folder. I coped that file to the map folder on the phone. started tomtom it said ACTIVATION FAILD. WRONG ACTIVATION CODE.

What am I doing wrong?

Tried to use the easy patcher, but I still cannot activate the Hong Kong map.

No luck so far. Once someone mentioned ttn7 pack3 would read v6 maps but till unable to detect v6 maps either. Please keep in view. I believe very soon this map would be available or many would turn to iGO, MapKing, Papago etc.

fin the device ID: there are two ways: after installing tt7 you start tt.
1: you click on the right lower corner and on the next screen you click to version. on the next screen you see the device ID.
2: after you startet tt, you close it. you search for a file named ttnavigator.bif, usually in the root of the memory card. open it. there you find a DeviceUniqueID. this is the device id. good luck

i installed this version on my sprint mogul phone, running Wm6.0 and it says that thisversion is not compatible with my device...is something wrong? do i need to have maps loaded to not get the error?

forget it. the problem was the "crack" file. it is unnecessary. the crack is actually when you crack the map. all i did was run the repack cab on the phone, installed to SD card, then used the batch file to create the new .dct, copied it over to the sd card, put back into phone and everything is working great. thanks for the software.

Is there a more simple way to get maps. I am completely LOST! I have the repacked3 version. It works and lets me set up my user settings (i.e handedness, time format, etc), and I'm able to choose the voice but then it keeps telling me "no maps found." I used the USA_and_Canada-14.meta file posted but what else do I need to do. Sorry for being such a newb :sorry:

you have to load the meta file into one of the crack programs listed earlier in this thread. it will then create a new .dct file for you to add into the map folder. the maps should then be available.

i am a novice. i am unable to crack with the patcher or with the software. i use vista and it gives error inbetween.
i am looking for UK map and my device id is AB5H8 BD9RN (HTC Touch Diamond).
BTW what do u mean by giving some codes in the name of metafile under each map? what am i suppose to do with those?
TT7 application works fine in my mobile but says ACtivation failed whenever is start the application. i know i should not request for a cracked map by giving the information. but pls at least let me know the step by step process in lay mans term from the scratch.

Download all the files to your PC, then extract each one. Open the first file, which should end with .RAR, then extract to a folder. This will extract all the files from that RAR file. Then copy the whole map folder to root of our SD card.

I'm not sure how if TomTom is capable of reading maps stored on the actually device. Besides, the maps can take allot of space. Depending on what or how many maps you want, they usually are close to or above 1Gb. Memory cards are cheap anyways. A 2Gb card would probably suffice, but it's best to get the larges media card your device can support and your wallet can part with.

Try the ACTVMap 4.8 (available on 1st Post) instead of the keygen and you should have no problem cracking the map.

My Asus P320 can't download the free city map, so I don't know where to put the map files in the Storage Card. Any info where does the TT reads the map in the Storage card? I tried to put in the root, still TT says "no maps found"...

I download TT7 and W. Europe map. I cracked it.
O.K. It works.
But I don' t have voices.
I can't choose any voice from the menu.
There is a voices envelope with files (.chk and .vif) in TomTomNavigator.v7.450.9028.Multilanguage.
Can anybody help?

Copy the VOICE folder from previous version and over write. Hope this helps. I have all english voice if you want.

hi, thank you for your reply. however, that map you refer to is not it. it may be have the similar version number, but this is the 2gb version. it has a lot more detail. it has side walks and in most cities, it has the floor plan of the house or the building. it even shows your swimining pool. i can attest that it work because my house plan look like the one in the map.

the larger file size difference mainly attribute to the tts speech file, but the main map files are only about 10-20% larger, but you can not tell how much more data it main contain due to compression level. but one can assume that new map has higher compression ratio than previously release map.

anyhow. using the tool provided on this thread, i was able to extract the meta key for this version of the map:

EB A3 10 BD EF 1B 1B 5C 66 5C 16 F0 1B D8 8B AA North_America_2GB-13.meta

it is fully tested and work.

again, this is a 2gb version north america. its different from the usa_canada and the regular north america map, which is about 800mb in size.

1) How can we get this 2GB North America map? Does anyone have it for download?
2) How are we supposed to get voices and where do we put them so they'll be recognized by tt7?

Okay, I figured out where to put the voices, you have to take the three files out of their folders when you put them in the "voices" folder. I still would like to get some of the text-to-speech voices though if they're available. And I'd really enjoy that 2gb North America map. Thanks!

I put the 7.20 uk map onto my tomtom one v3 and it said it could not use the map on boot up of the tomtom?

why is this? I did see that the downloaded files dont have as many as the original folder.

I used actvmap 4.8 and it didn't flag up any probs, anyone help please

Yes, but if you have TomTom7, you cannot use version 8 maps. Only version 6 or 7 maps.

From my experience, you don't have to crack the software, just the map you use. I used the Actvmap software on the first post and it worked like a gem. The answers are throughout this thread.

New to the forums. Tried searching using "traffic", "US", "United States", "North America" and "speed cams" with no success.

I live in the U.S. I find that a good bit of info is geared toward the European Countries and such. Where can I find a speed cam update for the US and not Europe? Also is there a way to extend the traffic addon past the trial date, lets say...forever? Many thanks.

To the two posters above or anyone else, PLEASE DON'T PUT YOUR DEVICE ID'S ON THIS OR ANY OTHER SITE. Sorry for shouting but f**K me do you want your devices permanently stuffed. Don't you think that a number that identifies YOU and its the same number whatever version of tomtom you install as its a hardware number. Tomtom do look at sites like this and others and if they can they will F**k you up, especially if you use Tomtom home. As it uses the numbers to verify you and your system.'

Its not rocket science, Browse safe "Trust No Fu*ker"..Especially Tomtom..

if you look at the 1st page the easy activation tool will work if you do the following;

Copy the meta data text that each map includes to the following file in the activation folder, Meta.txt in the file you will see the format to follow, just put the data in as a new line.

Secondly you need to make a folder called "insert_meta_from_Map_here" No speech marks. if its not there, this folder is vital.

copy the meta file i.e "United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland-14.meta" into this folder. Then run the "runme english".bat file.

it will pop up a dos window that will ask for your device id.

Enter it with no gaps and press enter. 99% of time it Will work.

Look in the "insert_meta_from_Map_here" folder and you should now have 2 files. Copy or move both files to the folder in the SD card overwriting the original which you should have backed up. Then run Tomtom.

Have tried with all maps and so far 100% working.:partyman:
