WORKING LINKS
This are the latest maps working with Sygic/McGuider/TrafficGPS versions up to 7.5xx-7.6xxx
They are not new, just reuploaded. The packages are made strictly for upload purposes so deal with it. Just search for your desidered country and download the entire package. It's easier than uploading all countries. Make shore that the All Maps.mlm file has your country. If not, just edit it with notepad and add the name of country. But don't forget to download the world base map - WCL. Enjoy.

If you are update your maps, you don't have to use keygen, but if you are instal Sygic for first time you must use online keygen (works perfectly)

Hello, thanks for this maps, but I have a "little" problem. I downloaded the map for the Netherlands, so far so good, but when I started extracting it, it keeps giving me an error: Wrong Password...

Are there more people with this problem, or is there someone how could give me a solution?!

Yes, like map of Roumania work with McGuider but not the maps that are working with Sygic version 7.0.xxx. just some adapted maps.

What are you talking about? You don't have to rename nothing, just extract the maps and put them on your memory card in "maps" directory with mlm file and wcl world map of course.

I have 2 questions, first is is the version in the about screen a bug? I checked the version with SisExplorer and during install on my Nokia N95-8GB but my device says version 7.50408 and SisExplorer and during install says 7.52.409?!

Second, can someone explain me how to install poi's with this new(er) version?

Just change "menu.settings.rotate=0" to "menu.settings.rotate=1" in menu.ini file located at e:\drive\Symbian\menu.ini

When I try to open israel map,

Sygic ask me for License File [Pic1]

I press Active, I had to choose between Auto and Manual [pic2]

and I choose Manual, Its shows my Device code, and ask me to Visit: activate.sygic.com for activation code [Pic3]

My Device code is 12 Chars and there is place for 16 ..

My Phone is N95 8GB

I'll be more than happy to upload the maps to bittorrent, but downloading 98 MB every hour is a pain in the rear. Could you upload to somewhere other than rapidshare? There are many free file hosting sites out there that don't require accounts, don't force downloaders to wait between downloads and allow you to upload 500 MB at a time for free. I don't know for shore if "idn" stands for Indonesia, but if it is, today it's your lucky day :

The map has 11.9 mb and probably it's not newer but there is not another map for Israel (newer)

Hai I downloaded McGuider and it works on a 2gb card . When I copy the file's to a 4gb card I get the message "unespected error" . can anybody help me out with this problem?

For all you guys with black maps (like the middle east ones), open the allmaps.mlm file in any text editor and add the map folder name (for example, the Israel maps are in a folder called "ISR", so add [isr] to the allmaps.mlm file).

Would be great if it works...
But the difference between the maps are .PAK and .AR/G3/LV/NAM/COF/ etcetera.
The Europe maps (shown in the FIRST post of this thread) use the .PAK files.
These files are working fine.
The maps with all the other files, what i mention above are NOT working.

But i'll give it a try later tonight when i have some time, and give a new reply here.:)

Well guys,

If im informed correctly, there are two versions of Sygic, the newest version is called MCGuider.
The older version use the older maps, as MCGuider use the .PAK files.
That may be the whole problem....

I'ved try it again to write the mapname in the mlm file, but again.... no success (goddamned!)

I'ved read about a PAK Exctractor, but it must be great if there is a PAK creator as well :(

Anyone have an idea????

So, you have to had the right map to work. The latest map of Roumania that work with McGuider has many files and it doesn't work with old Sygic v7.089, or 7.199.

Well, i use McGuider 7.52 build 0/630 D with card version 7.54 on my Nokia N73.
So strange that i need to "sign" Sygic Mobile (older version), but Sygic McGuider easily installs without any problems.

Well, i'ved try a .PAK creator yet, but it was for a game called Quake.
At least i had to try it, but no success :(:(
I would try to make a .PAK file from all the different files, but it shows "wrong format" when i browse the file.

Anyway, im searching for working Asia maps ( i dont care romania map at all, lol)

Sorry if i interupt in this discussion, but i would like to share, i try to install mcguider, and after a few trouble, it run smooth now. i use SEA map and its all clear. Thx ioji and xury for giving the map.

Lot of people call McGuider a copycat because it look like TomTom.
Well, honestly i have to say that McGuider looks more nice than TomTom (i'ved use TomTom Mobile 6 with Western & Central Europe maps for over 1 year).

Bad about TomTom is that they don't have Asia maps.
I'ved search myself crazy for it.

I'ved download IGO what have almost all maps of the world, but its for PPC.
First i need to get money for a HTC Tytn II (599 EURO) LOL.
Of course, it can be installed on a cheaper phone, but the Tytn 2 have everything what i need ;)

But i love my N73 as well, so it would be great if i get everything work.

(Believe me or not, McGuider is faster than TomTom on my phone, paring bluetooth, better signal, faster calculate, and so on...)

Ok, next update.
Thailand map working as well, if i turn off my bluetooth GPS device i see the country in the map but there is a problem.

Thailand map is in Thai language only :(
Even the names of the cities.

When i search a place, i.e. Bangkok it shows "name/city not available".

Benelux map still gives an error : "unexpected error and close my mcguider after 3 seconds.

1st u must registered the map first at ppc.....
2nd when u already registered in [Memory Card Root]/Maps/Licence.txt and then u must seacrh for GPS satelitte.
3rd maybe when its first time seacrh its gonna be long wait, but after that it fast.

At this point the most important is u must register ur map...

This is the step that i done

1. I copy all the file of McGuider 7.5 to a CLEAN MicroSD
2. Copy The SEA MAP to folder Maps at MicroSD root
3. Register Map at ppc.....
4. Activated map
5. waiting for gps signal.
6. Voila, It pointed me at MY RIGHT PLACE.

Some oldest maps does not work on 7.5xx version and vice versa, because it destinated for Sygic 7.0xx
Tomorrow I''ll check it. Sorry but never used Asian maps, so I did not know about this issue.
Its not depended of pak or unpacked because I can pak or unpack maps half year ago.
Unpaked map also working with new McGuider,but version of maps must be not older than 2007.10 Previous maps 2007.4 and 2007.7 working ONLY with Sygic 7.0xx.
You can check yourself installing older verion eq. 7.096 and put there old map only.

You can't type 's-G when trying to find a city, is this solved in the newer maps.
Example; try to find 's-Gravenzande in the dutch map...

And searching on zipcode in the Dutch map wasn't accurate it navigates me to the street but in the wrong city...

Is this solved with the newer maps?

I think the software will automaticly generate a license.txt when you create a key a 3ppc.

So, the software starts, some maps need registration.
it will show you your device ID, you need to give the device ID in the "keygen" at 3ppc.
Then it create a key for you.
After you give the key in your phone, i think it will automaticly store it in the folder "maps".

So, it will be like this: <root sd card>/maps/license.txt

It still need a streetname, so in my opinion useless...
I wont use the zipcode function if i know the streetname.
Otherwise i need to give the zipcode AND the streetname, thats double.

I use single maps (nld, bel, lux) instead of benelux, as benelux give error always in my phone :?:?:?

Remember an other post of me!!!
When i use Benelux map, it will give errors always, whatever i do.
I use SINGLE MAPS (nederland, belgië, luxemburg).
That works very good for me.

Strange thing is that i cant get a Garmin XT Mobile worked on a N73, but it will work on a N95 and N82 :s

Im looking forward to buy a smartphone (like HTC Tytn 2).
Whatever, i have to wait to get enough money :( but after 6-8 months there must be a newer version than the Tytn 2.
But my next phone is a smartphone like that, no doubt about that.

Windows Mobile have many nice softwares (of course, lot with keygens ;) )

For example, if i want to use a Voice Recorder to record my phone conversations, Nokia N series have that very very annoying beep every 3 or 4 seconds to let people know i record the conversation.
I cant find a GOOD working solution :(

Windows Mobile dont have that issue :)

I dont know how to get it working at your phone.
I think it must be working correctly as i look at my phone.
There are a lot of symbian software what can be used on N73 as N95.

All will record with a beep.
No discreet recording, even they claim to do.
Believe me, there is no software what i didnt check.

None of these work on a N73 without the annoying beep!

I've searched around, but can't find the answer:
I have the USA maps in pak format, there are 52 separate folders all containing 1 pak file and i have the wcl map.

He just dont get everything worked on his N95.
While i use a N73, i have not the same problems as he have.

Hey nameinuse, can you check for me if you find a place called Spaubeek, or Assendelft in your version of Sygic with your 2008 Q2 map, than we are sure if it is a problem in the maps or in the programm. I cannot see Spaubeek in my version so I use the Q1 maps again.

It worked for me with the Israel maps...

Sorry guys, but i have to say "Sygic, what a crappy piece of software!!!"

It doesnt show a street in my place what exist over 20 years already. (no not a street with 5 houses, but a street with over 55 houses!!!)

Next bad thing, when i search for "Point of Interest" then click "Nightlife" it shows some café's what DO NOT EXIST anymore for more than two years!!!

Ill focus myself to get Garmin Mobile XT working on my N73, as Garmin have a very good name and have the most maps of the world.
I find Sygic very very inaccurate, this is useless ****!!:exactly:

Put the 52 folders (or only those that you really need) in the Maps folder on your device. In the same (Maps) folder you need a *.mlm file which is a text file (but with the mlm extension instead of txt) that has the names of the 52 folders each in rectangular brackets on a separate line.

Example: north_america.mlm text file with the following content (replace *** with the 3 letter name of the respective folder):
[***]
[***]
...
[***]

I have Q2 maps with McGuider 752.4.09 on N95 and those cities don't show up in the search field, but if i understand correctly i can use Q1 maps and then it should work, so i'm gonna try that :heat:

Yep that works; Spaubeek, Assendelft, 's-Gravenzande etc. are now popping up in the search area. If you want this to work for you, go back to Q1 maps

Behmous, for some reason it happened with me too, and i discover that the folder RES now was empty. Re-copy all files again to this folder and your problem will be solved.

If software is not able to offer streets what exist for over 20 years already (that means Sygic wasnt there at all!!!) and also cafe's what do not exist for over two years already, then it is USELESS SOFTWARE in my opinion.

You need to install maps as well in order to get it running.
If you only install the application, it will give unexpected error

Hey Guys

Thanks for the uploads... Working fine on my N73. Although it warns about the low memory, which really is the problem of the phone.
This app is pretty good, however, as "nameinuse" said, it lacks POIs which we would really
need to know on these maps.
Nokia's in built maps seems pretty good, though their licensing scheme is really tricky. So
at the moment, Sygic is doing it for me. Thanks again.
"Nameinuse" , if you do manage to get Garmin to work on N73 with bluetooth GPS, fill me in
on it alright.

Yes it is, as you know, rapidshare accept only 100 mb once, this is not the case on filebox.

Tha Pakpaker has a horible user interface. Both in selecting the file/browsing and the GUI itself... Not to mention that the GUI is not in english.

I have a suggestion for a better program. It is a pack of 2 programs which is called PAK Handler:
[Only registered and activated users can see links]

The rapidshare link for the software itself is:

The PAK Handler have 2 programs inside: 1 for extracting and one for packing.

It works for both the sound and maps PAK files.

Use pakExtract for extracting files from a PAK file into a directory.
Use pakU for repacking files back from a directory to a PAK file.

When the program extracts the files it creates a small text file called FilesList.txt inside the folder where you have extracted the files.

When you repack then it checks for a mismatch (a file was added or deleted) and informs you if a mismatch was found (just to let you know).

Also, when you extract the files, it renames the Wav files to Ogg (other extensions are not being altered) since the wav files are actualy Ogg files (just look at the header of the file using an Hex Editor).

When repacking, the software renames back from Ogg to wav (so you don't need to worry about it).

Works like a charm.

Does anybody experience the error message "Unexpected error" under route calculation. I get it several times under route calculation -> rebuild the route for shorter and longer routes.
Both prog. version Sygic Drive 7.50.529 retail and 7.52.514 beta
Maps 2008.Q2
Prog. and maps are installed correct w. all default settings.
Nokia N82
Have tried google searsch, but the found error message only related to uncorrectly installation.

This Maps Doesnt have 5 Digit Postcode such as N18LT in London Islington, and it doesnt show the Name of the Road which is Essex Road for that Postcode. It doesnt have Most of the 5 Digit Postcodes which is really a shame is it MUST be there without any excuse ... :hahaha2:

And so, you are not happy? The map for my country does not have POI, index, house numbers, nothing just cities and roads. So....You can complain if you by the map witch is the same:hahaha2:

Copy everything on your memory card, put also the maps you need in "maps" folder and voice you use in "voice" folder, run the sis. file, get license from well known russian site and you're done.

Sadly, no. Since Sygic was taken by Teleatlas McGuider, probably they don't have the license for the new software, that's why they continue to sell the old version of Sygic. Let's hope they get it, if not to bad for them and us, and Garmin will win the Roumanian market.

This is what i'm guessing as well about Allview Romania. Same thing seems to be happening in Greece where the local company develops the map for the old version of Sygic.

There is another possibility. Instead of Allview/VisualFun buying the licence from Sygic/TeleAtlas I would prefer TeleAtlas to buy the map of Romania from Allview/VisualFun (or Suncart) and to continue its development, so we could find Romania in a TeleAtlas map release like the rest of Europe.
