Our Money Booker account is charge back protected meaning that even though customer chargeback to us, Money Booker shall not do a chargeback to our account. But recently, these are happenings and it seems that our appeal to them was not taken seriously to correct it even though they are make mistakes.

They make a mistake in doing 4 chargebacks (total RM7,206.37) to our account even though chargeback protected. They freezes our account and then later send us a agreement to us and tell us that so long we sign on the new agreement, they will unfreeze the account. We sign the agreement and the account was activated. On activating our account, immediately 4 chargebacks (RM7,206.37) occurred. (these 4 transactions was under the agreement provided always no charge back with higher transaction fee) When we write to them they admit the mistake and make a refund to our account. But somehow, there is another 4 withdrawals all dated on 8th June 2008 total to RM5754.48 including fees of which were never make known to us what are these withdrawals about
We write them an email date 10th June 2008 asking for clarification but its now two weeks and still no reply.
Has anyone has the same experience with MoneyBooker and what do you do ? Share with me your experience what you do if you have the same experience and what did you do to

Hello, IPmart

I checked the case with our anti-fraud department and your account was chargeback protected when the transactions where successfully processed. So I contacted the appropriate department and the transactions are now processed successfully and the money is received at your Moneybookers account.

Please excuse us for any possible inconvenience.

Best regards,

Boyan Gagov

Both these two transactions were dated in Jan 08 and March 08. Meaning to say these transactions are dealt/happen in the previous agreement which was agreed to have no chargeback whatever so. The agreed conditions in the previous agreement of no chargeback shall not be overruled by activating our account unless it is effective from the date of the new agreement.

We felt “cheated” especially upon activation of our account and immediately found four chargebacks by your management even though these four transactions occurs before the new agreement.

I expect an explanation from your management as to why this happened with immediate effect and have attached two screenshots of our account balance with the chargebacks for your action and reference

omg..i almost register one...

I have read something from the moneybookers term & condition

11. Termination

Customer may close down his/her account at any time by giving notice to Company’s customer service department. The Company at its sole discretion, reserves the right to close an account of any Customer at any time for any or no reason upon 1 week notice to the Customer and payment of any unrestricted funds held in custody. Moneybookers has the right to immediately close down a Customer account by giving notice if there are valid grounds. Valid grounds are assumed under, but not limited to the following circumstances:

* a violation of any applicable law or regulation,
* breach of any of these Terms of Use,
* if there are reasons to believe that the account has been used in connection with unauthorised or unusual credit/debit card or bank account use, including without limitation, notice of same by Customer’s bank or credit/debit card issuer,
* in case of abuse of the reversal or charge back process provided by Customer’s bank or credit/debit card company,
* receipt of potentially fraudulent funds,
* to comply with money laundering or other investigations conducted by government authorities, agencies or commissions,
* return of a payment for insufficient funds in the bank account.

12. Warranties, Liabilities and Disclaimers

12.8. A bank transfer, direct debit, credit card or any other payment first received by Moneybookers or a merchant of Moneybookers from a Customer and then returned to the originator for any reason - whether upon his own request or by request of his bank or payment provider - will incur an administration/chargeback fee of up to EUR 25 per transaction.

Besides that, customers can report to moneybookers for example like goods not received in properly condition or something else. Customers will get fully refund of their money when whatever report has made.. Stolen credit cards might be possible too...

Stick to paypal or egold...more secure

I've just googled "moneybookers scam" and I came up with a lot of hits. I was even planning on opening a moneybookers account myself but with all these complaints on them, I think I'd better not.

That is serious problem and clearly not a trustable service.

You are tricked in the first place to sign the second agreement so that they can continue to receive money on your behalf. I suggest you withdraw all your money before they are gone and stop using their services.... who knows they will freeze it again.

Look at this link here : http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=641867&page=2

For the rest of you, you better think twice before signing up with MoneyBooker. I am shocked when i read the terms posted by Ikuwara. This is crazy and no protection at all because they can claim anything they wanted.

MoneyBookers is not scam. I'm working in a Anti Fraud Team of a known RMT company. Which we deals with quite alot of online fraud which resulted to disputes and chargeback. And most of the service that we provide include the delivery intangible products that cannot be tracked, nor produce proof of delivery in event of a dispute. When that happens, these disputes often work out in the favor of the buyer.
Moneybookers helps us by "filtering" through this fraudulent transaction and notifies us on which transaction can be processed or which have to be canceled and refunded to the victim of fraud cases.
I personally believe that MoneyBookers has a team of specialist that work around the clock to protect the seller and the victim of credit card fraud.

IPmart can avoid this loses by providing the buyer 24hours before processing or delivering all order that was made by MoneyBookers.

Or you can contact me if you need more information...although i dont check my mail so much..but I come here often...leave a pm so that i can check on it.:ilove:

I used Moneybookers several times to pay for VoIP service..
Never had a single problem with them! Really...
OK, the ammounts payed were small... I had max up to 50 euro to pay in a single bill.
The only problem with moneybookers for me was the painful and time-consuming credit card verification....
