To install maps -> :

u should put the data, places, polygons ,save and the gls file inside e/copilot/eu folder

to install speedcams latest database ->

put safetycam.ezp inside e/copilot/eu/save folder

to install speech -> :

put speech folder with language u want example de folder (germany language)

so as it will be e/copilot/speech/de

ok i made my effort.now please give us a detailed guide to activate because i didnt understand anything from first post.what are those produst code license here and how to find them???

INSTRUCTIONS (based on UK installation)

1. Copy the following folders to your memory card:

- copilot
- private
- resource
- sys

2. Goto [Only registered and activated users can see links] choose your country and download the speed camera file if one exists for your country. Put said safetycam.ezp file into \copilot\EU\Save\ on your memory card.

3. UK maps posted further up include POI. No need to download anything else.

4. Put speech folders into \copilot\Speech\. For example for the UK voices the folder is \en-gb\. Put this into \copilot\Speech\ so it looks like \copilot\Speech\en-gb\ on your memory card.

5. Put memory card back in. Startup phone. Install starts. If it doesn't goto App. Manager and start it from the list.

6. Start CoPilot. You're prompted to enter a product code. Enter the following:

**CFN-M2NJH-FS2F5-HDF32-NA2F2

Change the two asterisk to any random letters or numbers. Proceed. Say no to internet connection. Proceed to activation. You're given a license number by the application.

7. Goto [Only registered and activated users can see links] and enter the product code you created (see above step) and the license number generated for you and your e-mail. Click submit and another code is generated. Enter this activation code into CoPilot7.

Done.

need more time to finish download, just finish part04, i will post feedback when i finish download.

The CoPilot 7 i had installed on my N95 8GB works great, compare what i used-Tomtom 6 and Sygic McGuider7.

CoPilot dont need install any extra bit (Tomtom6 need some fix) to use internal GPS, and it has more POI compare tomtom and McGuider, the best thing is CoPilot traffic information works great as i got flat internet bundle on my mobile.

From my point of view, McGuider has best view of map, clear and has lane guidence when mutiple lane appear, but the software works slowly on caculation and UI is not very good.It also works great on internal GPS on N95 8g

Tomtom has most useable UI, fastest caculation and more clear voice guide, but map is very very ugly compare other 2, and not support internal gps natively, need to pay for traffic information and lack of POI.

Nokia Map also have nice map but you have to pay for navigation

Install confirmed on Vista Ultimate 64bit.

However application fails to load. Have tried running as administrator and switching to XP compatibility, no joy. However their website says it works on 32bit only.

hallo ,this is my first post after i left my presentation in the apposite thread, so Hallo to evrbdy.
maybe a bug by copilot.

I tried to make a trip longer than 1000 km (about 650 miles), but copilot stops and automatically close. for trips shorter copilot is perfect. Smbdy had the same problem?
I Have a n95-1. It is a RAM problem (less ram than what is needed), or it's a sw bug?

What version software are you running on your N95? Type *#0000# and report back. If you're running anything less then v21 then you need to use Nokia's Software Updater to update to v21. If you can't, because of your operator, then you need to investigate debranding your phone and updating. v21 free's up more memory on the N95-1.

I just planned a route to John O' Groats in Scotland, a trip of 725miles + and it didn't crash.

Of course you could also have corrupted map data.

After doing a whole day on-road test, I have to delete CoPilot 7 and go back to Tomtom 6.

As i said before, CoPilot got nice map layout and POI display, and response very fast, and support N95 8g internal GPS perfectly, but after fully test road performance on road, i have to say that the voice navigation of CoPilot is so bad for me

the voice guidence of CoPilot is very confused lots of times in a big city such as London, compare with Tomtom6, it can not give you voice guide in advance if two turns comes too close and CoPilot treats many complicated road as a simple roundabout and so on.. I checked the copilot folder and found that they only offer simple situation voice, like left turn, right turn and so on, therefore it can not give clear voice guide as tomtom in complicate situation

The trafic information still work for me after one day test, it might expire in few days, but since i already deleted it from my phone, i wont know it.

In my opinion, tomtom gives best voice guide so far in all gps product in mobile i used so far, include R66 v7, tomtom 6, Mcguider, Copilot7. you dont need to watch your mobile and can concentrate driving most of times, the only problem for me is tt6 not support internal gps, but you can use small tools to fix it, all you need is choice gps in settings everytime you use it. I'm looking forward that tomtom will provide upgrade to support internal gps.

I have fw 21.0.0.016, the last one.
I fixed changing language from italian to UKenglish.now its perfect. Probably is a bug of italian language or i've seen the .dat italian language file is much bigger than english dat file (300 kb vs 20kb), so it probably is too much heavy for n95, the Ram is full and the sw turn off. i'll try with other languages that have the same size of italian file to see if it's a bug or a ram problem.

Installation instructions:

1) Install 1.bt.sisx, start it, should say "device added"
At this point you can also uninstall, is no more

2) Install 2.GPSd.jar. Start this program every time you want
to use and the first TomTom and then click hide
(once launched the program GPSd, ask before you give him permission to read
the data on the position and then to connect to the network.

3) install tomtom.sisx

4) copy the folder tom tom the memory card

4.1) remember to copy the map in the root of mass storage

I installed the DVD useing Vista 64bit Ult. and selected install drive as program files/ instead of program files x86/ it installed but when it finished i notice the start menu said the file to load control center was missing I look at program files and only had 4 files in it. when i looked into program files x86/ it had installed it in there even know i select program files. i run file from there. but wont work crash with error even with admin mode and also o/s comp mode. sorry mate.

CoPilot 7 First Impressions on Nokia E90 UK Maps:
-Great package, easy to use.
-Voice guidance is not as loud as it should be,
-Forget about using it with E90 Open Cover mode as you will only use half of the landscape display- CoPilot should have solved this (Splash screen starts full screen bit not the rest)
-Speed Camera database works perfectly, so far.
-Routing is amazing. Tried to this morning to go to work and on the way back and no freezing and no speed problems. TomTom 6 on E90 with BinPDA crack had freezing and some usability issues. I think until TT7 becomes available on S60 3rdEd, you should forget TT and concentrate on CoPilot for now.
-Amazing set of features, so many menus to play with and the DVD takes care of a lot of things for you.

Doesn´t work on my N82. After starting it happened nothing and then a few seconds later it hangs up.

Installation Guide:
1. Copy the following folders to the root of your memory card and overwrite existing folders-if any:

- copilot
- private
- resource
- sys

2. Goto [Only registered and activated users can see links] choose your country and download the speed camera file if one exists for your country.
Put said safetycam.ezp file into \copilot\EU\Save\ on your memory card.
Connect your device via the mini USB connector to your PC
On the phone select DATA STORAGE MODE
Copy safetycam.ezp to \CoPilot\EU\Save folder on your device Storage card
Unplug your device from your PC
Start CoPilot
You will now see an Integrating Update
Safety Cameras should now be updated on your device

3. Move both the map folders EU and info folders into copilot\ and overwrite existing files.

4. Put speech folders into \copilot\Speech\. For example for the UK voices the folder is \en-gb\.
Put this into \copilot\Speech\ so it looks like \copilot\Speech\en-gb\ on your memory card.

5. Put memory card back in. Startup phone. Install starts. If it doesn't goto App. Manager and start it from the list.

6. Start CoPilot. You're prompted to enter a product code. Enter the following:

[**]CFN-M2NJH-FS2F5-HDF32-NA2F2

Change the two asterisk to any random letters or numbers. Proceed. Say no to internet connection. Proceed to activation.
You're given a license number by the application.

7. Goto [Only registered and activated users can see links] and enter the product code you created (see above step)
and the license number generated for you and your e-mail. Click submit and another code is generated.
Enter this activation code into CoPilot7.

Done.

automatically it also copied some more files and now ETA is working ok

Tested with success on E61 - all is OK except speed cam, but may be i take files in a wrong directory...
Note that many many combination are used now, so be quick - only # 1444 combinations can be used (28 letters + 10 numbers, 38 combinations - 38*38 = 1444)
Some posts report a possibility to change second and third group, but i don't test it

first I used ABCFN-M2NJH-FS2F5-HDF32-NA2F2 - too obvious - the same message as you, then tried AWCFN-M2NJH-FS2F5-HDF32-NA2F2 - WORKED !

hello,Finaly i got the apllication working on my nokia N82.
Butt i made the mistake to install it with the date off my phone set on 17-07-2011.
When i set the date right on the phone en then start copilot the registration tab is showing again.
When i then click no internet there is a popup that tells me that the system date has shanged en that i should shut the phone off and reset the date.
Someone a solution fore my problem?

Can someone who managed to get the profesional version installed to post their file from C:\DATA\OTHERS\CPL7.DAT here on the forum as well as what serial number they used. I have manage to get full professional keys but when restarted the program I have to start the registration again. I believe that the clp7.dat is the key to have the profesional version.

I have also managed to get a network key but at the moment I do not understand how to use it.

why are the maps dated 2007 Q2? a lot of newer roads are missing, I would have expected this brand new version to have more upto date maps. The routing on copilot is very good, the Directions / voice prompts are absolutly terrible, worst I've seen in any sat nav software so far ... (nokia maps2, route 66 v7+8, Sygic Mcguider) all had better directions. Twice yesterday whilst using the voice prompts I went totally wrong direction. My best advice is look at the roar it wants you to take next (bottom of screen in yellow text) ignore voice / screen prompts and just head for that road!

Its a shame because the routing / poi's / speed cams are brilliant..

Just need to find out why the maps are dated 2007 Q2, I think the UK maps I downloaded from the link on page 2, maybe out of date and you cant download the full dvd anymore... :(

if you download and install the dvd posted a few pages back, and the connect your phone and transfer for example the benelux map, the pc app copies some extra files and your menu will change to dutch too

just download from this link and replace the folder call places with yours and it will work fine
i just test it and its work in My N95
i think its better then tomtom

Well just to confirm, Route 66v8 Nokia Maps2 and Sygic have more upto road maps than this release of copilot. (My own estate built 4 years ago appears on all the above but not on copilot), im downloading the full DVD version just to make sure the maps are upto date.

Oh and the poi database is out of date (shops / restaurants changed names years ago etc...) that's my 2p worth!

Thats just the reason why I ordered Route 66 with DACH Map for 60 Euro now. I appreciate the effort for cracking this app and I have to say it is a very nice looking navigation system, but the voice commands are so bad that I need Route 66... But anyway, thanks for cracking the app at least that gave me the chance to try it...

I can't set language and voice in my settings despite having copied the speech folder in e:\copilot (for example the path to french language is e:\copilot\Speech\fr).

I can't pick a language because no choice is proposed in the lists (empty lists).

It inscribe code, it check off options " internet ", it will not joint phone with internet, but program will be included. It enter for menu, setups, licensed, it check off some option and click activate, it inscribe some code and you will obtain new license. It is obliged to act.

ok i have the same problem as a few people on here, and nowhere in the thread can i find the solution! its driving me crazy!

My licence number is 9 digits (100150536) and ALK product online site says it needs 8. If i drop a digit and change the digit and letter in the product key it works and send me an email with activation code, but this code fails as its registered for an 8 digit licence number and my phone wants 9!!

Please please please please somone tell me how to get this working, im driving upto scotland in a week and it would be helpful to have this working!!

Same boat, I have everything works but not NA city, what does NA city benefit for us? Also no matter how I try, I can never see POI at all... The "Places" directory is there with all the POI, but just can't search nor showing up in the map

NA - City is what unlocks pretty much all of the local roads for North American cities. So if you're in North America, it's very beneficial. Like mine, I have everything but NA - City, Africa and South Africa unlocked yet I can't see 99% of the roads in my area. It only shows some of the larger ones, like a teaser almost =)

BTW, even w/o the NA City, I can still see all of my neighbor small road in my area... Just thinking if the NA City will help on the POI

I don't think it's going to work until I can get the roads to show up. Right now 99% of the roads in my area are gone, so it's not doing me much good =)

Copilot looks awesome, just hope I can get it unlocked so I can actually use it.

I give up (almost), I reloaded Copilot in order to test a theory, and now none of the keys I used before work. The software keeps saying invalid key. I copied/pasted into a text file in order to keep track of what worked, and now I'm having to start over from the beginning. I've got most of what I had unlocked except Professional, which for whatever reason wont work now. There has to be someone out there that has total understanding of how this works and could possibly share with us.. please!

Anyways, back to the drawing board.

If you are finding that your Central DVD isn't updating, you need to upgrade CoPilot Central from version 0.5.59.2 to 0.5.108

To do so , please follow the steps below.

1. Please ensure you have exited CoPilot Central on your PC

2. Download the Central Update by going to [Only registered and activated users can see links] and click OPEN / RUN when asked to in your web browser.

3. You should see a message saying "This patch will update CoPilot Central to the latest version". Click OK to proceed

4. Click START and the update will start extracting files to the default location where CoPilot Central is installed to - this should be C:\Program Files\CoPilot\Central - if you have installed CoPilot Central to a different location, please ensure that the patch is installed to the appropriate location.

5. Once complete, start CoPilot Central and go into HELP | ABOUT and you should now see 0.5.108.0

Hi people!!!!!!!! GOOD NEWS

i've finaly know how to put speed cameras working with the OV2 files of your favourite POI website from your country(because they are more updated then the one from copilot website).

With lots of search in the web and forums, now it works like a charm ;)

ok, lets go.

1º download all your speed cameras files in ov2 format
2º extract them to any folder you want on your desktop
3º put the the word "safetycam" before the all ov2 files(ex: safetycam_PT_80.ov2)
4º put it in the save folder of your map(my ex: e:\copilot\EU\save
5º done!!!!!
6º Run copilot, wait for the updates and then enable safety alert on settings menu.

PS: you don't need to have POI ALERT activated for speedcams to work, just the safety alert option in setting menu.

Another thing, i can't change my default language in copilot, even if i choose my language, it stays always in english menu, just the voices are working. any help please

Can anyone help me with the POI's for the South Africa map. I can't find ANY poi's. I've got the Copilot Live 7 DVD and the inclusive South African map (has it got anything to do with "map data - NA city"? which is not ticked, or professional features, which is also not ticked).

On the PC software bundled with the DVD, the poi's are found, but not on my N95 device!!!

but you want POI only, or you want the RADARS POI.

just follow my last post, but you need to have the ov2 or the safetycam.ozp

just put it in e:\copilot\your map\save
mine is e:\copilot\EU\save

then if is POI it will appear in the POI menu, if is speed cams it will not show, just need to enable the safety alert menu.

i will give you the copilot site for cameras:

try to see if it as your country, if not, you will need the website from your country with the OV2 files

The main problem its that Copilot doesn't have POI for your country :(
you need to find a website of your country containing POI and then follow my instructions do install it. It doesn't have nothing about Professional edition.

This Tuesday I've activated successfully but I had to reinstall application and at Wednesday i couldn't generate any working key.. Code generated earlier (at Tuesday) don't work too.. :(

something is wrong with an activation site

i;ve try to istal co pilot on my brother n95-2 but i can't, even when i use code that used to word on my n82.
when in put in a serial number copilot gives me always the same licence number and when I try too activate it on a site i informs that my licence i incorrect and gives an email adres to contact the producer of the soft.

does any body have any hint what to do about this?

well yes, yoy've prodobly placed map in the wrong place

map should be placed id Copilot/Eu/

So if you downloaded 1.2gb map You must copy all of the folders from Europe and paste it to an EU folder

Remeber to copy 2 files from EU/Data and paste it To data folder from Europe and then Copy all files and place them do the Copilot/Eu

Now to my problem. I don't knows if there is a solution. I installed Europe map with POI etc.
I can navigate very well but I can't see or find the POI. Now I've installed Tomtom POI and I can navigate there, but I can't see anyone on the map. The Tomtom POI shows on the route always with the same "Other" picture.

Any ideas?

Hi everybody with activations problem.
I had the same problem and I needed many hours try with different combination.
You can change the two stars, but it's not enough. You must try to change the first of the second group etc. I don't knows why is so but I got the activionscode and now it's working. I unistalled and installed again and it's working averytime.

Thanks for the copilot app, been waiting for it!

I've managed to get the product number and license working but the app has changed to Copilot 7 truckers edition and all the menus bar the settings tab have been dimmed out and I can't plan routes or check GPS settings. I've installed the UK map and whilst it does show some information such as "nearest town" the map isn't displayed and I can't navigate anywhere due to the dimmed menus.

Sorry for the wall of text, but does anyone have any solutions for this? I've seen several people here who has this dimmed menu problems but their posts seems to be ignored :afraid: :LoL:

and many more. Everytime I got a new Activation code.
Anyway I've deleted CoPilot because the map is quite bad (a uncomplete Navteq) and CoPilot needs a LOT of memory, much more an Sygic. My phone (m600i) is crashing everytime I'm tryning to enlarge the map.
You can't edit the POI etc.
So goodbye CoPilot until a new version!!!

I also had that problem and i could not get a 8 digit code, i have managed to activate it success full as mentioned a few post earlier in this thread.
Just install the whole stuff on your phone and then follow the steps where you must choose internet or no internet for activation co pilot on your phone, now choose internet and try to activate online for me it worked after 2 times changing the first two letter off this key XXCFN-U2NJH-FS2F5-HDF32-NA2F2
So it is activated perfectly but i have a problem that the NL map is not visible, i have copied the whole europe map and overwrite the files in the EU map, anyone knows how to solve the map problem ??

I am afraid it did not work (for me). Tried for a couple of hours with different codes to license it online with no joy. I personally had a lot of problems connecting over the internet to the site (while I could connect to anywhere else) and in the end I gave up and have decided to stick with the new Sygic Drive for now which works very well.

Has anyone CoPilot Live Laptop 10 or 11?
You can use it to load the maps into computer, select a country or area. Then copy it to the phone. You can use even to check the map directly on the cömputer.
Is because I deleted CoPilot Live from my phone. I tried with Sweden (where I live) and the map was uncomplete. My summerhouses way is not on the map but I can found it easily with Tomtom, Garmin Mobile XT and Sygic. They say 100% covered but is not the truth.
If You are interested of CoPilot Live Laptop search on i.e. ThePirateBay.
Last and least when I tried to enlarge a map on the phone, it crashed because CoPilot needs a LOT of Ram memory.
I'm back to Tomtom 6.0.21. Not the best graphic but working quite fast and never crashed. I get it in landscape graphic with Gdesk
I own a m600i.

I have deleted all stuff from co-pilot off my phone and installed again co-pilot and used a other serial but i didn`t have to activate the proggie again on my phone, so i think something was left on my phone so that i didn`t have to activate it again.

But i still have map problems,

It`s full licensed it said but Map city EU is not activated And city maps are not available so i still don`t know what the problem is, this way i can`t use co-pilot.

I think i gona install Garmin 5.xx cause thats the only 1 that works without a problem.

Please can anyone help.

I put in a Product key which is not valid. Now I cannot delete the one that I entered to try to enter another one. Any ideas?

Secondly - when I entered the first key, it gave me a NINE digit Licence number (and the website requires an EIGHT digit key.

Any help with the above would be hugely appreciated. (and many thanks in advance)

hey guys i think i have figured out the nine digit problem that copilot generates,the truth is it is very easy to get around and requires very little time to do but to finding the solution was a pain, im using the n95 8GB but it will work with the classic n95 too and maybe other nokia's, ok this is how i did it:

1)install copilot live onto mobile
2)open copilot and enter registration code then click next
3) if you get an 8 digit code the you are lucky problem solved, if you get a 9 digit code then follow these remaining steps
4)exit copilot and go to file manager
5)then browse to Other
6)you will find a file named cpl7.dat, delete that and open copilot again,you will find a new code being generated,keep on trying until an 8 digit code appears.
7)Good luck

Hello everyone. I installed copliot to my N82, used the europe map from the copilot live dvd, registered with codes that unlocked region EU and city EU maps details.
Everything seems to work fine except one thing: when copilot tries to generate poi's the application crashes. Should I use some other files containing the poi's or am I missing something.

Also I'm curious to what's the difference between Traffic (GPRS) and Traffic (TMC).

POI on CoPilot must be installed in a special way.
Under EU You get a map with name SAVE. Delete all files with XXpoi name (if You get these).
Copy your own Tomtom's POIs with suffix *.ov2 in this map (Not SAVE under CoPilot map)
Start CoPilot again and wait. Will take a long time for CoPilot to translate these POIs to CoPilot own.
As extra I can say that I used CoPilot with gDesk and used it in landscape view.

I can add. You will not find these POIs togheter with CoPilot own. They will sorted under OTHERS or OWn and You can't edit them.
If anyone is wrong You must begin from the beginning. This togheter with a map which didn't find many streets is the reason why I stopped use it.
Otherwise a very nice software.

But what I meant was that in my case copilot crashes when it tries searching for it's own poi's (the ones that should have been imported when I uploaded the europe map from the "copilot live dvd" to my N82). I am not using poi's from tomtom or whatsoever.

I fixed it by downloading the map from the first post in this section and use that to overwrite my map install from the dvd..

If anyone is having problems activating, choose a letter and a number for the first two characters:

e.g
A5CFN-U2NJH-FS2F5-HDF32-NA2F2
A6CFN-U2NJH-FS2F5-HDF32-NA2F2 etc.

I had problems activating if I had two letters.
I tried that and all combinations with number and character. did not work but then I changed the first letter in the second row

having all kinds of problems with this.

installed fine, but got a 9 digit device code, so had to activate using an internet connection, noticed that it was trying to connect via a "non-internet" access point, couldnt change the access point from "default" within copilot, so ended up having to delete all the access points apart from the one i needed it to connect via.

after finally getting the access point correctly set, i found a code that worked

and.....it locked the software down. i had a license for only a map. it wouldnt even connect to my internal gps, and all options and settings were diabled apart from the licenses screen.

after that, i tried different codes to upgrade. none of the codes would work, so i have uninstalled. i might try again, but gotta root round my phone to remove all traces first, as i cant be arsed to hard reset and reisntall everything.

just thought i would post this as it might help some.

thanks for the share tho....back to TT6 for me for a while.

Thank you to all for the ongoing advice offered to newbie (like me).

I have installed (and uninstalled) the DvD several times. It works 100%. However, I cannot locate the ASIA map preference.

I can select the Australia, Europe, Russia, Middle East, North America and South African maps.

I checked the installation, and the Asia maps are definitely there - I just can't select this preference. Any ideas? Plus if I go the the map update site, Asia is missing.

Hi Friends,

I successfully completed installation of copilot on my N73. But I'm facing problems with language and voice. Once I started the application, it was asking for the language and voice dropdown menu, but nothing I can select. Also I put AS folder to \copilot\EU\as for middle east maps. It is also not working.

Can somebody will help me to install maps and voice? Where I should want to copy these folders?

I have installed copilot on my N73 and its working perfectly but without any map and voice and language. I cannot select voice and language because the field are empty.
Can somebody help me where can i put voice and map files? I downloaded Asia Map and place it in \copilot\as. It it correct? Also for speech files \copilot\speech\en-us like this. but it is not working.

from where I can download Copilot central software? Can I upload maps using this software?

Hi guys,

I have the same problem like Santhua regarding the voice files. Also, please let us know regarding the map folder, we should replace the EU folder with another map, we should put another map inside EU folder or what we should do. I want to mention that I read thi post for quite some time, but still I didn't understood what I shoul do with the map, if you don't download the dvd and install the maps from the computer.
