With this trick you will get the 4-way menu of the N73 on your E65

1.) install rompatcher with autostart! then download c2z and set it as autostarting
2.) download the zip-file from the attachment and extract it to C:\ in your mobile e.g. with X-Plore
3.) Now restart phone and open the menu and go to system and there start the app multimedia key! here you can edit the apps that are started through the 4-way menu. now exit the multimedia key app.
4.) now press your "Own Key" and a app should start that looks similar to this

can you post all files wich were related with 4 way menu!? that would be nice, so maybe we can put them in other phones, wich doesent have a "own key", but made them as a shortcut in active standby... that would be nice!!!

I did search into Z: to find anykey structure.. It has:

z:\sys\bin -> Anykey.exe , AnyKeyActionPlugin.dll , AnykeyConf.exe , AnykeyConfigPlugin.dll
z:\resource\apps -> Anykey.r0* , anykeyconf.r0* , Anykeyconf_aif.mif , anykeyplugins.r0*
z:\private\10003af\apps -> Anykey_reg.rsc , AnykeyConf_reg.rsc
c:\private\10202be9\persists\1020e4f3.cre (config menu)
c:\private\10202be9\persists\10281ce5.cre (where settings are stored)

In anykey.zip we don't have same structure so I wonder how can it work on E65 . :(

ok, I got it! :)
You must install the new RomPatcher (with autostart) and redo the c2z to get only one patch file (previous c2z output was 3 rpm files). Set c2z as auto and reboot.
Extract the second zip file provided by benjy999 in c:\.
Go to c:\sys\bin and copy AnyKeyScList.exe into AnyKey.exe (you must have BOTH files in c:\sys\bin )
Reboot and you'll have the 4way menu's !! Awesome.. Rep+

ps.. hope you can "extract" also gallery and mediaplayer so we can get them new on our phone ;)

Yes i have a N73 but when i press the button i got the multimedia menu and by presing and holding the media button the music player is starting... But the bottom direction is always the config key... I can select actions only for: up, right, left, middle...

yes, we all can configure each button except for "down" which is "config." (and you can't change that button)
sorry I had not understood what you were asking. My fault.
press-n-hold brings up the config panel (try it ;) ).

Anybody should post the z drive of n73 and the files from c:\sys\install\sisregistry !!! If we have those files, everything is possible :)

Works good for me.. Should work on 6110 navigator too (doesent it have that button too? :P). For those who need to config it, it's the "my button" under "tools" menu(which has a new icon now..). Or just press & hold the button (works for me..)

Yes steps are correct!
You must get the new Rompatcher and the new C2Z maker (so you will generate a single rpm patch file that must be copied into the patches directory and started with rompatcher)
set c2z as autostart into rompatcher
extract the benj999 zip file into c:\
reboot
enjoy! :)

Ok I Got it and now it works fine.
It seems my utility to fast reboot the phone doesn't apply a full reboot so I switched off and on my E65

I made a big mistake
Removing the patch (4ways menu) I deleted some files like anykey*.* from
c:\sys\bin
c:\resource\apps
c:\resource\plugins

Now restarting smarphone and pressing the multimedia button the response is:
"L'elemento non è più disponibile. Ripristino in corso dell'impostazione predefinita" In English I suppose:("Element not yet available. Recovering from default setting").
But nothing appens and key remain unussigned and proposing always the same message.

What can I do?

Removing some other files all around the others path the system is fully recovered and now multimedia key can be reassingned normally.
