HEY!! Whats up people!? I have an Asus EEE and I am looking to replace the Windows XP on it by installing a linux distro! My only problem is that im not sure on which one!?
I liked the interface of Ubuntu, but I really need to run certain Windows programs;
-AoE3
-Photoshop
-and few more not really important softwares
Which distro would be the best to run these apps? OH and I would like to add that if possible could it be a small sized app? cause only 4gig internal sucks, lol!
*** Can i run MAC OSX off an SDHC card??
Thanks a million!

don't worry about Windows applications...since Ubuntu has a package calle WINE that emulates most .exe file types.

You would be best going with a linux distro customized for your eee pc. For example geteasypeasy.com or eeebuntu.org.
They are both ubuntu based, and have the correct set of drivers, everything will be working out of the box ;)

the best for EEE pc is Xandros but that is not free (my inchare bought a 7" EEE with Xandros and it is really wondeful). please don't stick with Ubuntu try others also. if you have any doubts please feel free to pm me. my in-charge and his friend are crazy about open source and FOSS. Richard Stallman himself came to our office once.
I'm using the XFCE environment on my Eee, it's really fast :D
Xandros works fine, but they are using proprietary software, and there are far better interfaces. The netbook remix GUI is much more practical and prettier also.
All in all, try a few distros, it can be done from a live USB and without installing, and choose the one that suits you better
