Installation Instructions
As with any software update, you should always create a backup of the data on your device before beginning. Please see the information provided in the user manual for your device for more information.
IF YOU ARE UPDATING FROM VERSION 4.00.xx, all saved settings/waypoints/routes/tracks will be lost when the update to version 4.10.xx is complete. Please save all appropriate data before beginning the update.
To import your existing saved settings/waypoints/routes/tracks after you have updated to the latest version, you will need to export them to the SD card at this time. Select Tools->Manage My Data then select the Manage option. Select Export GPX. This will create a file on the SD card that contains all of your saved information. Select Done and Exit the application when this is complete.
Copy the following file from the SD card to a safe location (this file will be used to import your saved information later): (SD card)\Garmin\GPX\CURRENT.GPX
After copying this file, delete the file from the SD card.
Insert the SD card into your card reader. (Applicable for most Symbian OS devices - some Nokia phones offer 'Data Transfer' mode when connected to the PC and will allow the phone to act like a USB card reader.)
To begin the SD card setup, select the 'Download' link found on this web page.
Select to 'Run' or 'Save' the file. Selecting 'Run' will immediately launch the install program. Selecting 'Save', will save the file to your PC and require you to launch the install program from the saved location.
If you receive an error copying the files to the destination SD card, you will need to manually browse the card to remove the following two files:
(SD card)\Garmin\Apps\Symbian\res\GarminMobileXT.SIS
(SD card)\private\10202dce\GarminMobileXT_PA.SIS
Rerun the file downloaded from the link on this web page (Step 5).
Follow the directions provided when running the downloaded program and directions provided on the device display to complete the application update. Insert the SD card into the phone (if necessary). If the installation/update does not occur automatically upon insertion of the SD card into your device, browse to the \Garmin\Apps\Symbian\RES directory and manually run the GarminMobileXT.SIS file.
Exit the application (if necessary). Copy the CURRENT.GPX file saved in Step 2 to SD card location: \Garmin\GPX\CURRENT.GPX
Replace the existing file on the SD card if necessary.
Start the application. The import of the data should happen automatically. If it does not, select Tools->Manage My Data then select the Manage option. Select Import GPX. Your saved application data should now be available.
You will need to keep the SD card inserted in your device for the voice, help and basemap files. This SD card can also be used to hold your detailed maps.

Notes:
IF YOU ARE UPDATING FROM VERSION 4.00.xx, all saved settings/waypoints/routes/tracks will be lost when the update to version 4.10.xx is complete. Please save all appropriate data before beginning the update.
This Garmin Mobile XT application is designed for use on Symbian smartphone devices running S60 OS (ie. Nokia E6x, Nokia N7x).
You must have a previous version of the XT software installed on your SD card to have all of the help files, voice files and basemap files. These are not included with this update.
During installation, you will be prompted to turn on your Garmin GPS. Please Note: You will not gain access to Garmin Online features and/or the navigation will be unavailable without connecting your Garmin GPS.
A minimum card size of 256 MB is recommended for Garmin Mobile XT software with maps.
This update does not add support for built-in GPS receivers

It works great Ivana, thanks :) Rep added.
To make our lives easier, since this is in the Symbian section, I only extracted the necessary files for mobile phones.

Remember people, as Ivana said, this is an update. So you need to have Garmin Mobile XT v. 4.10.xx working on your mobile, before you update it.

http://rapidshare.com/files/129029952/GMobXT4_20.rar.html

All you need to do is
1: Copy the contents of the .rar above into your E:\ drive, overwriting when it asks you.
2: Run GarminMobileXT.sis, and accept the update from your version.

Voilà!

Note: If you don't have Garmin Mobile XT already installed, you need to install the full version by DeFconX, provided here (http://www.ipmart-forum.com/showpost.php?p=2141484&postcount=38) by Deltafox.

I thought the release would have text to speech. Hopefully in the near future, they will release an update with that feature, then the best GPS program for symbian IMO will be even much better. :)

Cheers for the update, will try it

PS: if it works you know how to give some credit :pmpl:

You won't get any credit. It won't work on 6220c because GMXT doesn't work on S60v3 FP2 phones, not because the phone is not hacked.

I've sent several emails to Garmin about this, and they have no idea when they will update GMXT to support the newest FP2 platform.

Add full-featured navigation to your GPS-enabled smartphone with Garmin Mobile XT. Just plug this data card into your compatible phone¹ (see specs tab) and start navigating. With no monthly fees, preloaded maps, turn-by-turn directions, real-time services and only $99, this easy-to-use data card has everything you need to navigate to the front door.

Go Anywhere

With no network coverage required, Garmin Mobile XT works anywhere. Simply plug the microSD card(with miniSD and standard SD card converters) into your compatible phone with built-in GPS and go. Since Garmin Mobile XT works outside your phone's coverage area, you'll get directions when you need them most.

Navigate with Ease

Packed with preloaded maps, millions of destinations and full GPS navigation capabilities, Garmin Mobile XT turns your phone into a powerful street navigator. Its intuitive interface greets you with two simple questions "Where to?" and "View Maps." Easily look up addresses and services and get voice-prompted turn-by-turn directions to your destination. Enjoy 3-D mapping and advanced features such as saved routes and tracks, custom avoidances and visible trip logs. With Garmin Mobile XT, you can also upload custom points of interest, such as school zones and safety cameras and conveniently navigate to contacts in your address book.

Get Traffic, Weather and More

Garmin Mobile XT includes access to a wide range of Garmin Online™ services such as traffic, weather, gas prices, hotel rates and more. Receive real-time traffic information from traffic.com about traffic tie-ups and road construction that lie ahead on your route and navigate around congestion. View hotel rates, ratings and availability information from hotels.com. Even get the weather forecast for your location or anywhere in the world and compare local gas prices when you travel with your phone. Garmin online is accessed through your phone's wireless data service.

See and Navigate to Users

With Garmin Mobile XT's PeerPoints™ feature, you can text message your position to any other phone as well as view and navigate to the location of Garmin Mobile XT users in your group. Simply send your current position via text messaging to your Garmin Mobile XT partner's phone, and your location shows up on your partner's map page. PeerPoints is the perfect feature to keep track of friends and family at an amusement park, lake or other outdoor group activity.

Note: Due to proprietary and security reasons, it is not possible to transfer your Garmin Mobile XT data to a larger card.

¹If your phone has built-in GPS, your wireless carrier may block usage of it. Check with your carrier regarding the availability of GPS for add-on mapping software. Click on the specs tab for more information on compatible phones for this product.

This package includes also vehicles, any POI, Basemaps & SupportFiles

when i start navigation, it gives one instruction, it's usually to go 60/80m and turn right (which is wrong) and thats the only instruction given by voice. on screen, it displays the directions fully but no voice instructions. if i take a wrong turn it'll recalculate and give one instruction, then thats it for voice navigation, back to on screen instrucitons

I had a lot of problems with this update:
- The map in 3D view is malformed at certain zoom levels.
- It freezes the phone doing fast operations. It was the first time I needed to take out the battery!
- Sometimes the tracks are not shown or the colors are changed.
- The route simulator simulates mistakes too! This was the most strange thing.
- And some other things I don't remember.

However is a bit faster than before. Finally I rolled back to 4.10.80.

There is an "IMEI converter" which gives you ESN number of your device, which you can then use in Garmin keygen to unlock whateveryouneed and tie it with the device instead of with the card. So if you have old N95, you can later very easy transfer files to another card in the future and it will still work. It is also easy this way with new Garmin SW if you install from the begining, you don't even neet to run Garmin before you create KEYs.

Use the bottom generator of the Garmin keygen that you used to unlock software. I think that from versiun 1.3 you can unlock Mapsource maps too (but I could be wrong, and you might need to find 1.5 version). You'll find the keygens in a Garmin thread:
One link for 1.3 keygen could be here:

It`s an archive man. You open the archive, copy everything on your PC then transfer to your phone. And from that post I understand after extraction it`s an .img type of file.

What Fervex said. And use WinRAR to open the archive. www.rarlabs.com . It's in parts because rapidshare has an upload limit. The .img file which will result from extracting the archive is probably over 200MB, so the person who uploaded it to Rapidshare cut it into 3 parts. WinRAR takes care of that, and puts them together when you extract.

And to save you some trouble, you probably need to unlock this, the same way you generated the unlock code for your Garmin. Using keygen and your phone's ID, you have to generate an unlock code for this map, and create a .unl file with the same name (gmapsupp.unl), use notepad, which will contain the code, then put both .img and .unl in your phone.

thank u i really appreciate it. so when i extract the first one for example to my desktop and then i extract the second one to my desktop then windows asks to overwrite it i just say "yes?" also when i went to go look at the keygen it says the 2008 version but not this one which is the 2009

No mate, all those files are parts of the same file. So you are probably overwriting the same file over and over. What you have to do to be sure, is just right-click on the first part, then click extract to, and you'll get everything from that multi-archive into one directory. Nothing more to it.

Btw guys, you know that version 4.20.20 is out, right?
