Let me know which computer model you have .. Now where you see Two orange slots next to Battery(Looks like silver coin), The Bigger one is IDE slot where you r CD/DVD rom might have been connected. If so then you can check iif you have the same ribbon cable which I showed above, If not, then you can get it easily from local computer store in a very cheap price....That will actually detect the HDD on primary slave location.
