i've just extracted NOKIA's Mobile dictionary from e71 firmware !

comes with long list of free download able dictionaries :

install first dictionary engine and then use dictionary to download two more dictionaries (not more than 2 possible to use) !

Ps - unsigned - just sign with devcert !

Description:

Mobile dictionary is a dictionary application for translating words from one language to another. In addition to pre-installed language(s) you may download additional dictionary languages from this page. The dictionary application allows you to have English and two user-defined languages on your device at the same time. You may freely change the two languages according to your needs. The dictionary application asks you to remove some languages if the total number of three languages is exceed.

Installation:

Download a dictionary language by clicking a corresponding SIS-file. Removing languages:

English is not listed because it is already installed. List contains extra languages so that you can use it our native language. One of the best application ever by Nokia. ;)

I tried download Vietnamese language via wifi, installed successfull. But when I access this progs, it only have "Only English language" tried all of tip but not happen.

I think this pro only Compatibility for Nokia 5320 XpressMusic, 6220 classic, E66 and E71. Not my N95 :(

i sign it on my N73 with the Root Certifate and with Left up and try my IMEI certifate i used before i hack my phone and still the application without icon and when press it i see this pop up "KERN-EXEC3"

Working perfectly on my N82. I signed both the engine and the language packs with DevCert. :egdance:

p.s. The application's speech is generated by the mobile's intagrated voice synthesizer. ;)

My N73 is hacked but this app won't work. It succesfully installed without icon. But when I try to open it, nothing happen. The app even wont open.. Just blink view second n nothing happen. Any N73 user got it working?

this dictionary doesn't support more than 2 languages aside from english, which is its default language. if you install more than 2 it will ask you which language you choose to replace or remove. so just choose two you need more frequently and keep them, and your cool as well. ;) cheers!

Thanks, works well in general on my e51 (Polish Firmware 200.34.36), but there's a problem with italian dictionary.
First, on install, the Installer shows sth like : "Install second language as default in Dictionary" - as the app name (for Polish it's "Translator" for example, for French - just "French" in Polish etc.).
Then, when I install italian and try to run the Dictionary app, it says: "Choose dictionary to delete" - and there are: left softkey "Choose" - exits app, right softkey "Cancel" - also exits app. Only removal and reinstallation helps - though I only have English for a start.
The other dicts I've tried work fine:)

do you already have this app installed on your mobile? if yes, then just download some more dicts. you can install a maximum of 3 languages on it. just open the app, go to options>languages>download languages and select which ones you need.

if the answer is no, then i think you have the built-in nokia english-chinese dictionary. you either lost the word database due to a reformat or changing your mmc. if this is the case, just download from the nokia site.

Hello....anyone have chance on N73???....i install it without problems...without icon!! ok i can apply any icon i want....but when i run it it said error..something like Ke3-XXXX????....whats that?...i get this message sometimes on Rom patcher and Ngage...i formatted my phone before 3 days and hack my phone with latest methods....and the phone works like charm on other applications and its faster after formatting...

i installed it on my n73.
i didn't have any problem installing and starting the application (eventhough there is no icon), but after i install a language pack, the program just refuse to start.

can anyone help me?

Few words about talking funktion in this dictionary. It uses Nokia TTS so adding TTS from nokia then you may choose talking language and voice. Searching in google "nokia TTS" you can find downloadable link (example http://europe.nokia.com/A4286225 )
Settings what you can apply to TTS: language, voice, speed and loadness.
Copy from Nokia site: TTS compatibility: Nokia E50, E51, E61i, E65, E90 Communicator, N75, N78, N81, N96, 5500 Sport, 5700 XpressMusic, 6110 Navigator, 6120 classic, 6121 classic, 6210 Navigator, 6220 classic, and 6290 phones.

it works Fine on my E51 only thing is it requires signing first.I did signing with Root sis. But my view Msdict is much better.Anyways Good work dude.. cheers....

Its not working on my n73. :( I dont know whats gone wrong but when ever I click the icon nothing appears. Do I need to install anything before than that? I installed hindi language pack from Nokia portal. Kindly guide me if somebody can.

Hi , can anybody pls share e instruction on how to install it? As in, install MobileDictionary-devcert into phone or mass memory? And e fonts page u give us, where should i install it. Im using N95 8gb & theres no card reader... Iv try it yesterday but cant even open e dictionary nor can see e icon of it.
