In the height of Globe OM Mod FBT, I saw the same approach using Smart network. I haven't tested it yet since I dont have Smart sim. You can try and post the results here.

1. Download Opera Mini Modded 2.06 here ([Only registered and activated users can see links]).
2. After installation open the application and edit the settings.
[Only registered and activated users can see links]
4. To browse, type in the address bar this part before the URL you want to visit
[Only registered and activated users can see links]
[Only registered and activated users can see links]

Note: At least 1 peso load is required for this to work.

FBT Using phone as a modem for Smart Users!

1. Connect your phone to your pc
2. Connect to PC Suite One Touch Access using Smart APN: internet.
3. Go to Internet Explorer. Go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Connection tab, choose your phone as modem then go to Settings.
4. There are two sets of proxy settings to choose from. Either for browsing only or with download capabilities.
For Browsing only: 209.85.129.147 port 80
With download capability: 67.228.127.90 port 80
Check "Use a proxy server for this connection". Enter your desired proxy settings above. Click "Advance" and check "use the same proxy server for all protocols"
5. Click "OK" click "OK" again "then lastly click "OK" again.
6. To browse, use this address depending on what proxy settings you used.
For Browsing only: [Only registered and activated users can see links](site url)
With download capability: [Only registered and activated users can see links](site url)

NOTE: Still need to maintain 1 peso balance in your account.
And also these are Proxy site for mobile phone that is why the format of the sites will be for mobile phone browser.

Yup. I think this is just a one page FBT.:( So you have to edit the address everytime you are in a new page.

1. Maintain at least PHP1 load
2. Your inet/gprs setting is actvated
3. You can use 3rd party java browsers like OM4.1 or just your default browser. It doesnt matter
4. To browse, when inputting addreses in the adress bar use the following format:

Steps:
1. Create a new Acess point on Settings -> Connections -> Access Points
2. Place a Connection Name you can differentiate from the default access points.
3. Use a proxy server address from the list below:

Phone IP address: Automatic

*Note: Remove the [Only registered and activated users can see links] at the beginning before you use it.
Proxy port number: 80

5. Save this Access point and you are ready to browse.:excited:
6. You can use your default browser or any 3rd party browser you like.
7. Set your newly created access point to the browser you would like to use.
8. Type on the address bar the following:
smartsurf.ph
9. Proxy page will load then on the address bar of that proxy site place the site you want to browse. That's it!

Notes:
1. Still the same, maintain at least PHP 1 load to your account.
2. Download is available but some proxy sites have download limits.

you will use Opera Mini for browsing bro. You just need to set it up after installing it to your phone according to how it was described in the post. Okay lemme try to simplify it further for you.:)

To be done in your phone:
1. Go to Settings -> Connections -> Access points
2. Select Smart INET access point.

I've followed everything you've told there sir but still i got this message, "Security Error: network access is not permitted. Please check the security setting". What did you use to make it working? the 8.65 version or the mini modded? I've used the mini modded.. not yet the 8.65 one.

i've downloaded the 8.65 one but when i was extracting it a message appeared " No Archives Found". The diagnostic message says "this archive it either in unknown format or damaged"

To be Done on Opera Mini 2.06:
1. Go to Tools -> Settings -> Network
2. Set everything to Default, To be sure, remove everything you have changed before or you can choose to reinstall the app again.
3. Now change Opera Mini Server to anyof the two below:
[Only registered and activated users can see links]
[Only registered and activated users can see links]
4. Save the settings. That's it. Browse to any site,
5. If prompted what Access point to use, choose smartGPRS.

Don't forget to maintain at least 1 pesos in your balance.

Have you tried to register your phone model to smart? Sometimes the setting wizard application doesn't work well. Better register through texting. It's like sending ON to a number but i forgot what it was. Just ask others where to register your gprs connection. Before saving the settings that smart will give you, delete all the access points you've installed on your phone first(that's what i did). Let me know about the progress.:nod:

You're right.
Because actually it does work, but only some times say 5% of the time. It uses 3g but it's very slow. And when I'm lucky it worked and get connected I will get IO errors and/or overflow exceptions after clicking a couple or two.

Hope he gets it fixed.

In the meantime I can settle for a manual technique but I can't seem to get around it. Anyone can help me or point me to a link or something?

Gyus theres still a trick on UBT on smart. Im using it right now. Just want to share

Trick 1 for default browser
Use the Smart Internet setting with any working IP from cool-proxy.net with 3128 as poprt only. Make sure your load is below 5 pesos. Better to have 1 peso load.

Then you can browse freely.

Download all the applications you want to use(e.g. Opera mini 4.2, ebuddy, messmo,morange.)
then use the next trick

Trick 2 for Applicationds
Use the Smart Internet setting with no IP or proxy. Make sure your load is below 5 pesos. Better to have 1 peso load.

Now with these trick you would be able to run unmodified/Original applications for free.
Im playing TibiaME and RHynn.

All of these are socket type conection and its really faster comapred to globes connection. Enjoy

Guys, Need help. I installed OM.v4.2.remod4smart (attached below) on any Nokia S40 phones but the load deducts. I just installed it without inputting the proxy.
