hello Everyone,

I biuld my pc six months ago.

Here are specs

Intel D945 GCNL motherboad,
Intel Pentium D (Dual Core) 3.00 GHz
1Gb Kingston DDR2 RAM @ 667Mhz
Nvida 7600 GT PCI-e 512 Mb @ 400/266
400w PSU
Samsung Optical drive cd,cdr,dvd 52x
2 HD 160 Gb SeaGate 7500RPM.

What I am getting is slow downs in games especially and then stuck sometimes auto restart or hangs in game. I tried everything from latest nvidia drivers to reformat ( new installation of win xp).

Please Help coz it is taking on my nerves.

1 GB mem is not mutch for gaming

also powersuply could be an issue

just fill in what you want and it will tell you wat you need on the spot

as for mem ; read manual an buy what u can afford

It might be your power supply. Most of PC now requires 500W.

Or there are incompatibilities with your video card on your motherboard or the installation disk (XP). Clean the metal contacts of RAM and video card. Plug it firmly.

what about 650w PSU ?

I think it should be good with my spec.

and by the way If I do any upgrade give some suggestions keeping in mind mid-low budget.

Just upgrade psu & ram. Thats all ;)
