A great real-time strategy game, with 7 different races, as well as fully customizable army colors. Definitely one of the best RTS i've played, not to mention an expansion coming up early 2008 with 2 new races.
~~~~~~~~~~
Races:
Space Marines: Human race, with bionics and implants. Basically your man-made supermen.
Imperial Guards: Humans too, supposedly on the same side as Space Marines, serving the Emperor. Good at defence. real good.
Chaos: Space Marines that betrayed the emperor to serve the chaos gods. they hate everything and wants to destroy everything. even themselves.
Eldar: your spacey elves. fragile as hell, but strength in number & speed. Looks like humans, but way taller & live at least a couple of hundred years.
Tau Empire: A budding new race, with awesome technology. My personal favourite. Too bad they're shorter than the average humans.
Orks: Fungi that went badass. They got weak armor, but huge HP. Not to mention their strength in numbers.
Necrons: Imbalanced undead machines. a lord with 6k+ hp, as well as his invulnerable form, nightbringer. They're easily the best, second to none. But there's just a little problem: they're slow, and needs at least 5 points.
~~~~~~~~
Campaign:
Dawn of War takes place in the planet Kronus. Basically speaking, it's a Tau Empire planet, but for some reason, all the other races have decided to take a visit there, all for different reasons.
Necrons and their destruction, Space Marines & Imperial guards and their 'xenophobia', Chaos that seems to be everywhere no matter where you go, Orks making war wherever they go, and the Eldars who are chasing after the Necrons.
~~~~~~~~
Comments:
Great game overall:ninja:, with especially awesome gameplay. Units usually comes in packs and battles can really get heated up- best played in multiplayer. An additional + is the customizable badge & banner. Notice the Shurelia banner in the Screenshot
