Gameloft has released many games in 2008, but only some games which r good enough, so i make this thread to know the best gameloft games in 2008 so far ( i know that gameloft still releasing new games but i no problem to share our opinions),
for me the best games in 2008 r:

Soul of Darkness
Abracadaball
Block Breaker Deluxe 2
Grey's Anatomy The Mobile Game,

Im playing Soul of Darkness right now and i must say it's one of the best platform games available right now. Absolutely beautiful graphics, great gameplay and it can be quite challenging, unlike many other gameloft platformers.

Block Breaker Deluxe 2 is fantastic as well and proves to be among the best block breaking games on mobile. The moving bricks add more dimension to the game, and being a gameloft game, it looks great. Quite hard at times to the point where it's just plain frustrating, but i can't resist coming back for more of this title. Multiplayer mode's a bit strange though, having two hands on the same handset.

Asphalt 4 may not be in full 3D anymore, but i just love the drifting in the game, very smooth. Honestly though, the graphics are still good despite being a 2D game. It'd be nice to have a bluetooth mode for this franchise though.

On the contrary, i think there should be more topics like this. It'll give a general idea to other members on which game they should download and why. This is a forum after all and forums are meant for discussions like these. This forum shouldn't be flooded with suppliers posting game with nothing but "thank you" posts inside, that's not how a forum should be.

i totally agree with you, and my OT opinion is that best gameloft game is block breaker deluxe 2.

I think the new gameloft games that had been released are really bad, even I dont like the new gameloft logo, I prefer the old one. And worst of all, there are some games that I've tested on my w810 that are very slooow.. and sometimes they lag. The loading screens are very long and a lot of things that I think gameloft should improve to make better games. I have to say that I prefer the old gameloft games than the new ones. :(

On the other side, I think GLU has been releasing better games, and "Transformers G1 Awakening" it's one of them, I liked it very much, I almost finished the game. :)

Gameloft seemed to have abandoned true 3D games for java phones, now they work out HD games, which are only for symbian phones, which is a real pitty for us. I'm just hoping real football 2009 will still hold up if they don't release it in 3D for java phones. Though they've had some great releases this year (soul of darkness, BBD2), surely they can do better.

As for Glu, i must say Transformers G1 awakening is awesome, it makes me with they'd do ancient empires III soon! One complaint though is that there isn't any 3D cutscenes in the 176x220 version. Even the N70 version isn't out so i can't use that. I really hope developers don't give up on 176x220, it's really capable of better games.

Another developer having a good year is fishlabs, Rally Master Pro is breathtakingly awesome, and Galaxy on Fire 2 should blow us away when it's out. Overall so far has been a pretty solid year for mobile games, and i must say even I'm quite proud of the games I've been supplying since i came here last year. ;)

i think that this year was very good for digital chocolate as well, because they released few titles which were titled as "game of the year" and similar

Here is my list for the best GL games

1.Soul of Darkness [ this one roxxxxxx ]
2.BIA Art Of War
3.Chuck Norris [ dunno why but i really like this game , i play it again and again , maybe because of the gfx in game are similar with my country :LoL: ]

New York Nights 2 and Dogz 2 are also excellent games too [ ofcouse for girls only ]

But if you ask me which are the best 2008 mobile games , my vote goes to Playman Summer Games 3 [Mr.Goodliving] and Worms 2008 [THQ Wireless] . They are simple PERFECT games for your mobile.

Lastly , i want to say thanks to all suppliers , who shared all the best games for us.

I think Soul of Darkness is one of the best Gameloft platformers. Graphics are great, gameplay with RPG elements is very good too. Block Breaker 2 Deluxe is probably best Breakout-like game on mobile phones, Abracadaball is one of two best Zuma-like games on mobile too (next one is Luxor 2), and Chuck Norris game is very good too.

Nice to see people agreeing with me that Soul of the Darkness is a platformer oozing with quality.

Maybe a mod should change this topic title to Best Mobile Games of 2008 instead of restricting it to just Gameloft games? After all, many other developers are doing great this year apart from them.

in this year (so far) there r only a few great games for me;
*Soul Of Darkness is one of the best gameloft games in all time,
*Playman Summer Games 3 is olso a great release from Mr.Goodliving ( & special thx to Yunoehoo who supplied us with the last version),
*24 Special Ops from Digital Chocolate is olso my best game;
*Kung Fu Panda is really a great release from EA mobile,
(off topic) my favourite game for ever is Age Of Empires III?

I think both EA and THQ have made great progress this year. I believe Spore will be ranked Top 10 of 2008 best mobile games. I like it very much, as well as De Blob. Indiana Jones 4 by THQ is also a very good action game. Dchoc has produced many superb games, but its new games always come a bit too slow:ashamed:

I have to agree with yunoehoo, soul of darkness is currently #1 on my list, followed by Pocket Chef. New york nights is also one of my top favs

about gameloft: i think they are going way too much commercial lately...for example: Chuck Norris gamer XD ...why the hell would someone make this game?- only because they realised that chuck is "famous" lately :D...money,money,money, kids, money :DD

i finished the game, and put my friends faces using camera mode etc...so...
still, this game is very unoriginal for my taste, altough i like chuck norris humour...

very few locations in this game: jungle, texas and ruined city(?as i remember)

few funny moments and thats all.

but i understand thaT there are many people who actually like this game very much...my opinion is that soul of darkness or might and magic 2 are way better platformers than this one

Might and Magic is more of an action RPG not platformer.

Assassin Creed is not so bad either.

i think zombie infection is the last gameloft games in 2008, so let's all nominate the best gameloft games for 2008 ( choose up to 5 games ).

& i think zombie infection is too a good game, it's a now style by gameloft.

All of those are decent games. I've only played a few minutes of zombie infection, but it looks like a fantastic game to play. I quite like the aiming system, it lets you perform head shots! =D

There should be a thread about the best game of 2008, not just gameloft games. Im playing wolfenstein RPG now and I'm honestly addicted to it. It's fantastic.
