it was over after about 30 mins at my download of the version. I guess i had some problems when i'm installing on my n71, it won't. but found out it worked on the n80. :pmpl:

try the N-Gage 1.01 Build 1281. This installer is a little buggy in installation for some phones, as told.

No. this is the developer's temporary fix for the 10,000 points bug. this is not the official released. As been told, the next release will support the N96 and maybe the listed compatible phones. Only "they", the developers, know when it will be released.

Hey Skanob, When I want to update the N Gage app, I need to reinstall everything??

I have tried this on the N80 that I currently have, here's what I did:

1. Reformatted the phone and memory card.
2. hacked the phone.
(restarted the phone)
3. Installed N-Gage 1.01 Build 1281 then Asphalt 3 and made some progress with it.
(restarted the phone)
4. Uninstalled N-Gage.
(restarted the phone)
5. Installed N-Gage 1.01 Build 1296.

the results?


N-Gage runs smoothly.

I couldn't see Asphalt 3. Tried taking off the memory card, all that jazz.

One thing's bothering me, if the developers and the official update comes and they've wanted to install or upgrade N-Gage. I wondered if this is what they've wanted us to do. Uninstall previous version then install the new one. There's no point of upgrading if we keep losing all our in-games data like this. :hahaha2:

Or... overwriting the installations, which by the way, do not work. :angry:


I'll experiment more on this until I get my phone, maybe next 2 weeks?

Hey...I got problem...:) Before I had N-Gage 2.0 1.01 Build 1282, everyhing was OK...Today I tried Install this newest version and formatted Internal memory and Memory Card also. :) But...:afraid:

Now, when I'm installing every game, it always says: Unable to Install (Error -14) Do you've any solution for it? Pls skanob help me, I wanna play the gmaes again...:( And don't want to format and install everything one mroe time...It takes me around 1 hour...:afraid:

nope. and my guess the results will be the same.


I found out on the official n-gage forum, that you have to update your phone via pc suite. then bring back the update.

this bother's me, too. if i have backed up my phone with N-Gage 1.01 Build 1281 and with the games. Then reformatted my phone and memory card. Hacked. Installed N-Gage 1.01 Build 1296, i think my installation will be discarded overwrited by the back-up. right?

Hello...I Haven't ask you how to backup my saved datas...:) This is not problem...:P There was problem that I couldn't install any of the game, but it has been already solved...I Haven't installed Symbian OS Pipes...So thx anyway for this nice repack...:) :ashamed:

i just copy the entire 2007b39 folder and drop it back after I reinstall all the games...

I myself is not into getting points, but the game progresses is the most important to me. Just think, hours of hours playing then gone with just one click of a button (not literally, i meant uninstalling). :suicide:

Everything is saved....
save games, prices, arena points ..... ALL!!!

So install the lot and delete the 2007b39 folder in c:
Drop the backup in c:/private and that's it........

I think it also works when U install ngage, then the backup folder and then the games......

So, maybe this way we could just install your replacked latest version and then (2 make sure) just delete the 2007b39 folder and drop our backup version in there.....

:))Dear rolan95d:)) . Here is the best way to install a new copy or a new version of n-gage without losing any of your game data or progress:wink!: . All you have to do is to install the new versionwithout removing or uninstalling the old version. The installer will ask you to replace the old version and all you do is to click yes:exactly: . If this message appears "Some applications need to be closed . Close Now ?" And all you do this is to say O.K:2thumbsup: . Then after the installation you will see that n-gage is gone from your phone :axe:. But this not to panic . After this start the setup again and install it completely . In this way you can install the new version without losing anything :happy:. Confirmed to work 100000% :COOL:.
