Have you connected your device to TT Home and hit update?

Recommend you make a backup first, then see if Home offers to you a new Application.

Thats the best place to find out if new App available.... from there can the patches be applied.

let us know your findings....

( The back up is in case you press a button your didn't ought to in error. It can be replaced & return your device to previous state )

7.832.8707 is the latest, just didn't know if he worked any new magic on the last firmware. For whatever reason my duo won't boot with his ttsystem file - very odd since all the previous ones worked perfectly.

Anyone using this device I would strongly advise that you get this version from Yd's post here. Remove the system file before loading to your device. I had mine connected to tthome which reported the updated version 7.832.8707 Now I was running a patched version of 8.x but figured since I had a backup of my working config that I would gab this update and then could post for others who may need it. Well after the update completed as expected I got the message that map could not be used with this device. I then restored my previously working setup only to find that the device goes into a permanent reboot cycle.

I then decided to have a look at the ttgo.bif file on the sd card which had the updated ttsystem and the formerly working 8.x maps. What I found was that not only had TomTom sent me a new OS but also a new bootloader, version 8.0017 Thanks to Yd's patcher I have now been able to get 7.832 patched and can once again use this unit but seem to be stuck now with 7.25 maps. I have tried using TTuser's SE files from several different 8.x versions but they all exhibit the same perpetual reboot cycle.

Sorry for the long post which has probably lost it's core message in the process. Bottom line if you want 7.832 you are best to get from the link above in Yd's post and if you get it from TomTom remove the system file from your unit before letting the device be restarted.

Mine gets in the same endless reboot cycle using the first file from TTUser - it booted perfectly once and then after that it just does what you described. The other files work fine, but no TTS, only newer maps.

followed instructions provided by yDdraigGoch and now it works like a charm! haven't had a chance to test the text to speech but everything else is functioning fine, including being able to receive calls and view my mp3 information!
