Firmware v30.0.019 for Nokia N82 is available through the Nokia Software Updater but only for the generic product Euro 1 product codes and will be available progressively in the next few days at the official Nokia Service Points.

In case you can’t wait to get the latest update you can easily change the product code to one of the EURO I codes via Nemises Nokia Service Suite aka NSS and than update a phone via Nokia Software Updater.

Unfortunately full change log is not available at the moment but I believe it is just a minor update that should improve the performance, fix known bugs and problems from previous versions and brings some more than welcome updates for the preinstalled applications like, Nokia Maps, Nokia Search, etc.

The bad news is that this firmware is NOT HACKABLE at least it is confirmed that Hello Carbide method is not working so better think twice before the update and wait until someone will try the older but (tweaked) app trk method!

i repeat...THIS FIRMWARE IS NOT HACKABLE AS OF NOW UNTIL SOMEONE CONFIRMS IT..

so update at your own risk...!!!

i have updated to v 30.0.019 and all my previous hacks are still working (even cracked nokia maps v3402) rompatcher no camera capture sounds, java permissions, active standby screen, magic key, installserver.exe installing unsigned apps all working but disabling caps does not work so cant do any new hacks yet

I use only installserver.exe and after change from old soft to new I can still install apps withous signing that is why I think that previos hacks will work. Hack -> update -> enjoy

Hello Carbride do not allow to unlock system folders anymore... I am waiting for new vers. of HC.

PS. Does anyone know is there a chance to add new language to t9 ? cos I had polish PC then I have changed for EURO-1 and I would like to use polish word coz I am writing using 79 dict.

He he. Thanks 4 help, but i use Damian PC and update is done. I was writed that in other thread with my observations and experiences with new FW. I confirm - is now no option to hack phone. Now we both landing is the same piece of sh** :LoL:

hello friendsssssssss now my n82 black is sleeping. i confirmed with my friend as he s JAF then he affirmed that he could downgrade the firmware thus i agreed.
my plan was to downgrade it to v20 then hacked and patched it then upgrade to v30. however now my phone cannot start anymore. it s lazy, maybe then he s now sleeping...
i was told that he can rescue it when the firmware of v30 is available for upgrade offline...
friends, you know where can i get the offline file to upgrade the v30 for my n82? i really need it to be waking up...

folks all you who had yours Nokia death after update to firmware v30, should go and write that on the official Nokia support discussions forum.
dont know if i can write the exact site,so just search for "nokia support discussions" and then go into "Software Updates " and write about that!
Seems that the v30 firmware has been already removed for some models..well there is a lot of mess about these brand new firmware, speaking the truth!

have u finished the upgrade??if u havent finished yet,put the cable (the phone is swiched off) open soft updater press the power button for few seconds (25 is enought) and update again for me worked(i cancelled update and my phone doesnt power on)..but i after i done this it powered on again like before and with a new firmware..:)

I have modernized today soft and I will say sincerely that this great ****.

New software makes n82 faster then ever. If You format phone during or before upgrade it seems to be even more faster. Difference in relase date of eng version and polish was approximately 6 days. So have no fear, new soft will be soon here ;)

there is.. everytime you connect to the NPC program, there's a pop up reminder for upgrading, althow I did't succed upgrading it from home, I just went to Nokia Service Center (Point Square Jakarta), Now I'm a Happy V30 user..:excited:

The same for me, everytime I connect the phone the popup shows that the firmware has a new version, but everytime I start NSU after indentify the phone the NSU always said that there's no new update for N82 APAC version. I think the problem was from the nokia server. No matter how many times you retry to update there is always the same answer.

Why are you guys afraid of upgrading your phone?

You can hack your N82 F.W. 20 and then upgrade it.
Do'nt forget not to format your phone after upgrading.

Then you will have a hacked N82 F.W. 30! Just as I do.
