Garmin voice files packed in .vpm format can be two different types:
- TTS
- WAV

Program which is able to edit Garmin .vpm voice files of 'TTS' type only is
TTSVoiceEditor V2.60

[Only registered and activated users can see links]

So far, reported working on models 7x0, 3xx, 255W, 260, Zumo and Streetpilot c550.
Basic functionality:
- Change the words/expressions to something completely different. You can also use
expressions longer than the original....

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Program which is able to edit Garmin .vpm voice files of sound .WAV type
Garmin Voice Utility 1.0

Just unpack desired .vpm package somewhere on your HD ... replace WAV files with own recorded voice clips .... pack again and voila ....

This $hitty "program" (the non-tts version" tries to contact its mom at [Only registered and activated users can see links] a 404 (doesn't exists) $hitty site and when it failes says "beta expires".

Anyone has another program that splits and joins garmin's VPM files to wav???

P.S. maybe it is just a sequential join function. I get back with you on that.

P.S2. The guy who "wrote" the program, he is an a$$hole.(sorry but he is)(nt_virus2).

Happy New Year!

Sorry for not editing my post and double post but I have some infos that deserve another reply

This guy has a new version 1.2 that works BUT the program stills try to call its mother home AND (I tried it and learned it the hard way) if you change more than 50 wavs (the total number is about 110) you get a message that the program will REDUCE the quality of the samples if you don't give a ...DONATION to paypal)

It was obvious from the beginning that this guy was a dick.

There are no warnings BEFORE you use this program what so ever.

Anyway I love you all. :ilove:
And again HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Try "NonTTSVoiceEditor". It is free and will merge all your WAV files.

Find the tool HERE ([Only registered and activated users can see links])
