If anyone has a Pocket PC or mobile and uses Activesync for synchronisation or installing applications, Activesync will not work with Vista.
You must download and install Windows Mobile Device Center.
Unfortunately this does not come with Vista by default so you need to download it seperately.
Download the program and run it. If the setup does not run, plugin your mobile device and let Vista install the drivers, whilst it is installing the drivers the setup should begin on its own.

Yes, I was one without it. Got a tablet with Vista installed and it took me 2 days to find out why cant sync my TytN II. I still cant find out why my pocket does not have an internet connection when connected with the tablet via usb and tablet connected to the internet. There are some reg values but none of them for Vista I think.

you don't need any registry values, it should work fine - check your firewall
in any case for such things Google is your friend or (OMG!) the manual...

This is a guide to allow bluetooth sync in vista. Works with most of the bluetooth devices. I presume widcomm is the only one which gives a hassle free setup. Sony laptops are a pain to configure unless one knows these steps.
Maybe useless to most of you, but may be some people (non-experts like me) may find it useful.

Happen to me, too. Using my Sony laptop (vista home premium) with media center o.k. Only can't connect to update my ppc weather. Any help?
