hi ppl.
first of all thnx for lukin into this thread. i have planed to buy a new pc (without monitor) after a v.v. long time. i am not a pro in this electronics world n so i need serious help.
I have got a budget of 1000$ and i need a motherboard, ram, HDD, dvd-rw, graphic card, processor, atx cabinet & smps.
i have spent alot of time searching for all the stuff i needed and hav come to sum stage
1. thought of going with EVGA nForce 790i Ultra SLI Motherboard
2. intel core 2 quad 2.4ghz
3. OCZ SLI 2048MB PC16000 DDR3 2000MHz Memory (2 x 1024MB)
4. HDD wont matter much 500gb is more thn enough
5. Graphics card - totally undecided
6. Smps - 750watt
7. dvd-rw with lightscribe

i need hlp on everything for a final decision
i heard tht nvidia will be launching a CPU within a few months. is it true or just a rumor?

i want to know :confused:
1. culd i go with a 700w or 650w smps or is a 750w smps compulsary
2. do i need an external cooling mechanism for this configuration?
3. which brands shuld i prefer
4. graphic card is the toughest choice
5. i would prefer Hybrid SLI Technology & GeForce Boost, so need serious advises on this too
6. ESA certified products

plz advice anything within my budget. a little bit extra wont matter though
I would highly appreciate even the slightest of the hlp u ppl can put forward
plz ppl hlp me out. i am like stuck in a glass maze all this week. need a way out. :confused:

It is much better to go to a PC shop ask for a brochure, post it here then we will give some advice / modifications on it.

the problem is tht i live in India. and for the configuration i am looking, it would take another 4-5 months to come here. thts the reason i asked for hlp otherwise i would hav gone to a shop long back.
i had planned to buy it online and get it shipped here.
one more thing. could u suggest a cheap n best online website for buying this stuff. tht would also be of gr8 hlp

you live in a warm erea
before you buy anything;
consither WATERCOOLING
watercooling helps enormeuos to properly configure settings

as for POWER-SUPPLY;
go to asus website
they have an online calculator witch tells you right away

sli is great but;
you were talking about budget
SLI means two graphic cards

i dont think i would be needing liquid cooling till i go for 2 graphic cards. as for now i am just settling for 1 GPU. i will go for the other in a few months n thn i will go for liquid cooling as well.
On which site can i get the best deals?
