Did you try it? Because this 2 files seems to be the same files as the old version, when i replaced it i had my iphone stuck on the apple logo, i had to do a restore with itunes!

Kinda thing what he's trying to say is that yes it "does" initially work. But if you set the date forward "as in if time would elapse in real life" it then stops working, be it some type of demo licence or it only patches it for x ammount of days.

You need to try to change the date to over trial period... for example just change your iPhone date to next month...

Its the same. If you change your date to 1 months further, you will be unable to send mms. Within 14 days, no problemo.
I had tried a few times changing the date forward and backward.

That's because you DO!
The file you're putting in there is a 1.2 patch, therefore you're downgrading to 1.2 again.

No, because Cydia have no clue you have replaced that specific file.
You have simply put the 2.1 program file into the 1.2.3 package.
I guess Cydia recognise the version of the package.

Can't send when I use the old crack on 1.2.3 software. Good job I created a backup before copying. I reverted back to the original files and was able to send. Only have 3 days left on trial so hope its cracked before then.

Every mms send, there is always an error message:

While I use Mac, I don't hv option to directly open terminal like in winscp. So, I ssh the fulldemo.sh script in root and launch terminal, ssh it to root and type sh fulldemo.sh

Fyi, maybe my prob is that everytime I click get demo, it said demo is expired. Could this be the culprit?

So i downloaded and installed original swirlymms from cydia, i've tried manually crack, but then installation haven't activition.tmp and my activition.lic haven't 9 paragraphs.

I tried just replacing the 1.2.7 files on my phone with these ones and now the app crashes after launching. Let me know if you have any luck with this.

with SwirlyMMS 1.2.8 . i im unable to retrieve mms, even the setting are correct, as the same setting worked fine on v 1.2.6 even tried setting the date to 2007, which worked on 1.2.6, anyone have any ideas what to do?

Try with the demo license. If it works, prolly the crack that is messing things up.

Remove swirlymms, reinstall it, get the demo license. If it's working using the demo license, then the crack doesn't work and that's why you can't use the soft.
If you already got the demo license and can't fetch a new one, go to
/private/var/root/Library/MMSApp and delete the file activation.lic

Reboot the phone and start swirlymms, you should be able to fetch a new demo license.

Well the patch that was setting the time limit to 3988 days for the demo seemed to work with 1.2.6.

What didn't work ? You couldn't get a new demo license or even with the new demo license you can't send/receive mms ?

i got a valid license but when i go to read a message or send a message it tells me something like Fetch error: unexpected http responce and im sure i got the settings right. what could it be

I get the same error every now and then. I just remove swirlymms, reinstall it they reapply the crack, then it works again.
I thought maybe it was because the crack messed things up after a while, but if you have a real valid license, i don't know what could cause that.

well you could try removing swirlymms, deleting the activation file, reinstall it and get a new demo license and see if it works then.

Well today, i tried to send a mms....
Of course it didn't work. So i tried to remove/reinstall/everything. Still not working.
I got pissed off so i bought the damn license.... And it's working fine with the real license ^^

edit : btw, when you get the real license, it says "Full license valid" at the bottom, not only "License valid".

0777 is the permission settings that you set when you access your phone via WinSCP or something of the similar. Once connected you will right click on the folder or file that you wanna change and click "properties" you will then see a buncha check boxes along with a field where you can change permissions to whatever you need.

it worked for me i have iphone 3G 2.1 framework. cracked worked for swirlymms 1.2.9 checked sendin and recieving mms :) thanks

yeah u r right i tried changing the date to one month ahead.. and it stopped working :) i think there's no crack for it best crack would be to buy it :suicide:

Well it's sad that apple didn't include it.
It's 2008 and the iphone is prolly the only recent phone that doesn't support mms.
But if you use that feature a lot, might as well pay the 6$ to get every upgrade there will ever be.
If we'd pay for the time we spent on the net trying to find a working crack, i bet it would have cost a lot more ^^

My only regret is that i don't like paying for a software that need the phone to be jailbreak...

an easy trick is to manually change your iphone's date (if your demo license has expired)... then you can read the received mms and send new ones

I got fed up waiting for a crack so bought it instead. If there is a program out there that is worth £5, this is it.

Instead of waiting around like desperate vultures for a means of getting this for free, just get a Paypal account and buy the bloody thing. You get every update immediately and unlike every crack out there, you know it will work when you start it up! :D

I bought it when I had 1.1.4 but I cant re-use the old license for some reason. I dont feel like buying it atm because there is a native program to be released in Appstore soon.
