Would it work if you pak these .upi files together with the rou.pak map file to give just one pak file.

Also I noticed that the new sound files have the .ogg ext whilst the old ones had the .wav ext. Do these .wav files need replacing then as they appear to containg ogg headers but are named .wav?

Did you even try it? Because i know that they will work only with old version of sygic, the one that Visual Fan actually sell. But maybe i'm wrong and you know better.:confused:

The links are OK, but do to the heavy rains the connections for Roumania are down, i cannot acces several sites from there, including the host. Be patient and try again later.

No. There is not POI folder. Icons (bmp. files) goes to Res/Icons and upi. files goes to Maps/ROU folder.

Nokia E51 doesn't have internal GPS, i assume you have a bluetooth GPS. If you have, go to Sygic/Settings/Hardware GPS/Autodetect or PortCom and set yourself manually.

i do like dis him is searching somethink with 4600 and 9500 ...and si write in the right corner "gps is not found"... and on garmin is work with full signal and with sygic nothink

Try autodetect! I have too nokia E51 and it is working perfect! TEsted with GPS Nokia LD-3W and Holux M1200 (holux rules!)

It's better to delete the old one and copy a new fresh one. Mine with Sygic v7.60.731 works great, lot of POI and with proper icons.

The links works just fine. What's the problem? I don't use rapidshare or megaupload, there they will be deleted soon, and reuploading again and again...
And since i upgraded my flash filebox doesn't work for me anymore, i mean the upload. So, you will have to settle with this one.

Roumanian map isn't compatible with this version of Sygic and i don't think it will be very soon, roumanian developer is taken another road to develop this software.

If you have symbian and you are interested in Roumania, there are two choices that have good maps for it: Sygic and Garmin. That's it. And i don't see any reason for using Sygic v7.7 instead of v7.60.731 witch works great with latest roumanian map. I am very disappointed with version 7.7 so, i stick with 7.60.731. It's here, on forum. Garmin and maps too.

Yes, but it will work with v7.6 or the next version of Traffic GPS. Maps for Teleatlas McGuider are made by Teleatlas, detailed map for Roumania is made by Suncart SRL Romania witch provide the map for Traffic GPS (roumanian Sygic)

One idea: use garmin routable basemap witch help the software to route through borders. Or you have to wait for a new Sygic with a decent map for your country.

Kinda off-topic I agree, but the Suncart detailed map for Romania is already available in the NDrive topic and as far as I've tested it it's basically as detailed as the one for Sygic 7.6 .

It's here too: [Only registered and activated users can see links] but Ioji is right, the fastest way to get it is directly from their site. I didn't get the opportunity to really put it to the test, only couple of sims but like I've said it is the same map only the software is different. Hopefully it will be eventually ported for 7.7 too, I don't believe it's that hard since it was already done for other maps, it's more like a lack of interes from Allview's part. But in the mean time it means we have an alternative to the way over detailed Road 2009 map. :)

It's the same coverage man, (newer, 2009) trust me. It even has the parking from and the private road to "Red Dragon" from Bucharest ! Very good coverage !

Nothing. It was a rumor of a new map in december 2009 but wasn't, and i don't think if it will be in 2010 it will have 60 MB. Latest has about 20 MB and the rest till 27 are POI. From 27 MB to 60 MB probably will be the big, the huge highway A3 (40KM) :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:

Putting aside the joke, it's a shame that some sell sygic ( Illegally) with just 4-5 euros excluding from the market the company who produced - Allview Ro. Just take a look at "okazii.ro"....It's like they kill the chicken with golden eggs.

I don't think is necessary 60 MB for that, enough 6.........

But again, v7.60 was one of the best navigation system for symbian, i still have it on my phone (for the map).

The problem is, even as slow as they are, the guys at Allview will probably finish the map in the next 5 years, which is not even close to the finish date of A3, probably somewhere in 2050!

I too use Sygic 7.60. Only install last version 7.7 when exiting Romania.
I wish I buy the map from Allview but I'm considering this only if they update it more often & make it compatible with latest Sygic.

if you liked sygic, you may want to tray NDrive. On their site its a trial map for Romania which has almoast 28 mb. Its pretty close to sygic

I'll check it out to see if it's easy to install and then wait for an update of the navigation program. Then, hope that the map stays compatible :)
