Hi, im not much into computers , actually from a diffrent background, but do wanna buy a pc with gud configuration , budget 30 k . i went to a local vendor who was tellin me of motherboards that support 4 n 8 gb , dint understand those frankly. can u advise me a gud , u cud say the best configuration for this amount, keepin in mind , im not into gaming, so dont need the those gaming stuff. my bro is coming back from us , he tells me vaguely this configuration , 4gb ram , 250 gb hdd , 17 or 19 inch lcd monitor , dont know much abt the processor (plz advise ) , os vista , dont laugh if thats a foolish configuration ( plz wanna stay update , competent with my bro ) . hopin eagerly for a reply .............

if your not onto something special i d say buy a new pc with vista allready installed

4GB is ok - 1.5 is minimum

harddisk depends on how much data you want to store on it - 250 is enough for some, but way to small for others

17 inch is small go for 19 or bigger

That configuration is fine. The tech guy means about Ram is you should use a motherboard that can handle a total of 8GB of ram. Much better is 16gb.

Even if your not into gaming, vga card is necesary because mo software needed it like rendering. And in the future, surely you will install & play a game on it so better have one.

Consider using core quad or at least core 2 duo proc. but if u into gaming, then AMD proc was betters.
