I have Hp compaq v2000 .it's giving blue sreen with"Config_List_Failed" when starts.not booting from dvd writer also because drive is faulty.so now the option left boot from any usb drive but in bios settings there is no option of booting it from any usb device.i want to ask well that boot from usb dvd drive i want to test but before want to know about it.please tell if you have any experience with you.i will very thankful to you for this.

Enter CMOS then activate all SUB devices that you can see.

You will never know unless you test it but definitely it can boot from any USB devices you plug. You just need to set it.

Plug USB device first before turning on the power of your laptop.

Thanks friend,problem solved by usb dvd writer,but now i want to make bootable my pen drive to use in future.please guide me i have not floppy device.i tried some methods from different websites,but could not able to make any one.please give me complete guide if you can here.i will be very thankful to you for this.

Run SP27213.exe to install the program

Once installed click start/ programs look for Hewlett Packard then run USB Disk Storage.

Choose your devices, choose FAT, tick Quick Format & Create DOS startup, choose DOS system files located at, then browse for the DOS files. It is included in the download link I gave you.

Have you tried the software & procedure I gave you? What was the error?

With this application I can make all usb disk bootable even card reader with mmc.
