Hi - I am trying to install Route 66 v7 on an ipaq 212 Enterprise. I have tried about 3 different versions of R66 v7. Some were from a CAB file type of installation which didn't work and some were just copied onto the SD card and the exe file run from there. It looks like it installs ok when the CAb file is run. I have installed it on an ipaq 2190 before with no probs at all. :good2:

After installation when I try to run it on the ipaq 212 I get a message saying " At Least one file is missing. Please Re-install". WTF?

I have got all the same files as are on the ipaq 2190 so none are missing. Anybody have any ideas whats going wrong? Any help most appreciated. :weedman:

It is possible that one of the files are in the wrong place, probably the map file. If the map sub directory empty you could get this error.

Thanks for the reply ... I am sure I have the map files in the correct place. I have tried both a MAP folder within a R66 Folder and also the MAP folder in the root of the card.

Also I have done this ok on previous PDA's (About 4 of them) with no issues. So it can't be a map placement issue.

Problem solved ... I got R66 v7 going finally ... All I did was pop out the CF Card from the PDA. R66 then started first go.

I am running R66 on the SD Card. I think the problem is caused by a conflict with Sygic McGuider on the CF card. This GPS Software, Sygic, also has a folder called "Maps" and another one called "Res" which must be on the root of the CF card for Sygic to run properly. Somehow Route 66 (Which is running off the SD card) tries to read the files on the CF Card if it is inserted and can't find the files it should use on the SD card even though they are on the SD card.

So at least I have found the problem. :ashamed:

Now is there any way to make Route 66 ignore the CF Card when it loads up even if the CF card is inserted? Maybe a tweek to the settings or config.ini file maybe? Or maybe there is some setting in the PDA that can be used to ensure programs don't go looking on the other card for files when they start?:ashamed:

Anyone out there got an idea? :weedman:
