I just bought PSP version 4.01 from japen and now i can't downgrade to 3.71 M33-2 with pandora battery note-i used original psp battery to make pandora battery (3.6v) and now it required 7v how can i make it please anybody help me.

i think you have to ask the service center in your country, but anyway why you want to downgrade? its easier by using popsloader if compatibility is what are you looking for...

extract it to your desktop. i found it on a website and thought its something you can use. Im sure it has a read me file giving you instructions on it.

dude u need a pandora battery to downgrade...if u can't make one,theres is no choice...
try to go to ur local game shop...they can do for u cost about $10 to 20..depend on some shop

If that's the case, he probably has motherboard TA088v3, which at the moment can't be hacked, even with Pandora.

It won't work because with newer Slim models, Sony modified the algorithm used in the motherboards. Simply put, you can't hack your PSP Slim ....yet.

If you want to be sure of this, there's an utility that identifies your motherboard. For this, you need to download said utility and you need a modified PSP (which you already have, your PSP Fat). I don't remember the name of the utility, but its in www.psp-hacks.com.

There is no pandora unbricking available for OFW 4.01 except replacing the cpu. In Philippines there is service available, they actually replace your CPU inside the PSP with a 3.90 model's. Then unbrick it to the latest CFW available.

I, myself have a 4.01 and I brought it there looking at them fixing it. (for me, they actually take out a new PSP 3.0 version and opened it and replace the CPU with mine.) And amazingly it works. The whole process is fast and clean, they use cling wrap for your case and lcd panel to prevent dust, finger prints and scratch while opening the case. very careful and sleak. Not bad.

Newer slim with ta 088 v3 they have different cpu and their operation is also different. since their ipl is already hacks but this piece of **** contains sony signed thing before the ipl ever gets executed called a pre ipl. As of today there is no full proof hack of a preipl but brokencodes has decrypted the preipl some how and someparts. Lets wait n see. Or may be the sparta exploit leads to kernel level homebrew..

and one thing brodas its not all due to firmware but is due to the mobo type. so if u have old mobo and new firmware u can easily modify ur psp but if u have ta088 v3 ur out of luck for now,....
