Try deleting the ini file and restarting. It worked for me.

I managed to start the latest version of the prog on the moov 200, but I can't seem to make it read the maps from the SD card. I downloaded the europe_full_200804.cpf map, and edited the ini file \Storage Card\MioMap, and it'll only read the map from the flash drive... On every restart it'll reset the mapdir to it's default. (\my flash disk\program files/miomap ) does anyone have this problem, and is there a solution for this?

But I have small problem with MioMap on my HTC HD.. I can't disable auto zoom while navigating through route. I have tried to modify MioMap.ini but with no succsess. Seams that aplication dont care about that .ini file. No metter what I put in it, It is always the same.

The same problem in Moov 500 with "europe_full_gre_200807_npc.cpf" map!
After wake up from stand by, the zoom are going out and the map look like from "airplane view".
No any settings (known by me) in "miomap.ini" have result.
Any ideea to can see on map the last position after stand by mode?

Thank you. I got it to work but is there any way to exit the application without shutting the unit off or locking the gps.

Add following line in your miomap.ini file
ShowExit=1
in section main. It should look like this:

Guys....I need your assistance in this one. I like to use the application in portrait mode but in this version when i search for any location, i cannot see the full name. Infact i can see only first two letters and rest space is taken by the vertical bar with the up and down arrow. Is there anyway this can be shown at the bottom as it is in Black Edition

Thaks mate - however after transfering to sd card and trying to run Mio.exe - my O2 Atom freezes. Replaced Mio.exe with one as explained, but still no joy. Any help ? Thanks

I am new in here and probably miss something, but anyway:
I have a Mio Moov 500, and while trying to activate a map, the device simply doesn't present it.
I've loaded the map into the device's memory and also to the SD card, but in both cases the device doesn't show it for selection.
I made the 'installation' via "My Maps" in the MioMore desktop.

Am I missing something ???

Also if i copy the contents of the original SD card which came with the device to another card.It does not work. Only works with the original SD card.

Is my device locked, so will only work with the original SD card or something like that.

I have downloaded and installed both miomap 2008 and mapmyindia mireo3 s on the sd card of my 4.3" pnd. it displays all poi's and calculates the route, gps acquisition is also good, event the demo route mode displays all manoeuvers, but when i use it in the car although the position is acquired and displayed , the map does not move, have tried all options , but no avail. suggest solution

Please be more specific, give you more details about the GPS software you use and maybe you can help

It is not depending the software I use.
I think I change some parameters of the GPS by using a wrong tool.

--> Using cemonitor I "factory reset" the GPS but it still don't work.

The GPS look like he is working but don't fix (don't fix position) and it is like I have no satellite at all arround.

I tried several tools already.

With cemonitor its possible to set some "param" for the protocol MNEA but I don't know wich one to change.

Any idea?

Because on your PC you have a version of the Mireo which is not original, and you use a lic file decoded,try to search lic files encoded for those maps.....but wait

you forgot to put the LIC files next maps, if your device does not have an original MioMap from factory do not use the original license files, look for the decoded files, and then put those files in to maps folder

I have problem

I got mio moov 200 with original and updated maps... all with lic files.

I got few official updates and manage to download many many files from mio site [i got lucky] but when ever i want to use map [cpf and lic from original update] map is not shown. Also i changed miomap.exe to one from update and still no luck some maps are not shown.

Please enplane principle of using cfp and lic files .... and how to use that maps

Example i got:

italy_ta_0810_r2.cpf 198.108.720 bytes ~ 198mb
italy_ta_0810_r2.lic 256 bytes
miomap.exe 2.965.504 bytes
miomap.ini 382 bytes

all from MOOV200 _FEU_ Map Update _r00 . zip - ed
when i use this files on device ITALY is not shown at all!!!!

My device is ADRIATIC/BALKAN version.

I don't get it in that package there is some maps that is already in my device identical by bytes and that is ruining OK others - NO!!!!

What is logic for MIOMAP licenceing and how to use map files that i got!!!
