Walk Mate will count your steps during a day, working in the background mode – as this app claims, to stay in good shape you need to make at least 10000 steps a day.
i tested in my K850i it doesn't work but it work in the W910i of albero23

tomofu 15th October 2008, 01:54 It only works on phones with an accelerometer.
And I can confirm that it also works on my W910.
fieryjack55 15th October 2008, 02:18 It works on my wifes w910 but only if you jog not walk.
Bro Web 15th October 2008, 02:56 works perfectly on my w910 man....
tnk u
KeeFlam 15th October 2008, 13:09 its not that reponsive for the w910, as fieryjack55 said, u have to jog rather than walk.
i use it as my wallpaper :D
albero23 16th October 2008, 01:40 with mine in the pocket it counts the steps regularly...also when i have the phone in the hand and walk it counts them
tombcatz 16th October 2008, 02:13 tried to run it on my C902
it seems to be working [program responds whenever i move...shows the "walking" animation] but it doesn't count the steps...huh...should it be like that?
palcuiealex 16th October 2008, 15:43 tried to run it on my C902

That is happening on my W910i. It shows the animation but it isn't counting the steps.
Strik3 22nd October 2008, 14:53 That is happening on my W910i. It shows the animation but it isn't counting the steps.
i have k850 and the same, animation but not counting.. :( i'd really like such an application
chaoscreater 23rd October 2008, 09:04 so i guess it won't work on W950i? I don't think W950i has the accelerometer or motion sensor thing....
albero23 23rd October 2008, 13:22 for those who says the app doesn't work try to leave it in yoor pocket and walk without check it,then afte 5 mins of walk check if it works
sometimes on mine it doesn't show the steps immediately and it seems like it's frozen, but then afte maybe a minute or so it adds teh steps in one hit
Yanosh94 25th October 2008, 02:00 You re right , after few minutes the count begin in my K850i
alienbob 25th October 2008, 18:49 thanks for the wicked app

buntoo 29th October 2008, 11:28 Many thanks for this application... i was looking for it from 2months.
I totally agree with fieryjack55 and the application works quite fine on my K850i. It counts when u jog or walk with longer steps speedily.
albero23 30th October 2008, 00:09 thanks for the wicked app

it works on my w910 but sometimes it freezes and the steps doint count
to set the app as wallpaper go to settings/display/wallpaper->application and then choose walk mate
Kronsossa 9th January 2009, 22:44 I've had a w910i for quite some time now and whilst browsing trough the applications folder i rediscovered walkmate and thought i'd give it another shot since it didn't work when i first tried it
the walking animation does show but it doesn't count any steps, not when i run, take big steps or when i walk for 5 minutes (or 5 hours for that matter) either
I tried using the zip that came with the original post but since the application is locked on the phone i can't overwrite it
and its really frustrating sony ericssons customer support hires people who probably dont even know how to flush a toilet
smegga 14th January 2009, 00:30 Works fine on My W910i !! Thanks!

Here dude just install this one. This will install another walkmate application & not overwrite the existing one.
Kronsossa 15th January 2009, 00:15 this is strange, i installed the app you just provided and it worked so i tried the original app again and all of the sudden it now works as well perfectly fine
smart move adding the 1 to the apps name btw, never thought of that :p

The motion sensor is already on to change track you have to hold the walkman button while shaking it for it to work. :backtotopic:
This app does not work for me on my w910i.
costynha 19th January 2009, 16:21 it works for my w910i too with chadiwrx's WalkMate.10x
indagoa 24th January 2009, 15:08 It works in my K850... but i have a doubt: In models W580 and W710 there“s a app named "sport" or something like this. With this app is possible run and count the speed, distance and calories. Is there anything similar to others models?
P.S.: sorry about my poor english.

soapgirl 29th April 2009, 17:48 Hi.
I've got this file and I've got the A2Uploader. How do I use the two together with my W760 to get the WalkMate app to work? I thought I had things figured out and now I'm back to square 1. Or 0.
Thanks.
albero23 29th April 2009, 19:00 you just have to send the walkmate.jar file to your phone via bluetooth.
via usb cable you have to put that file in the other folder
you don't need a2uploader to install the walkmate app
soapgirl 1st May 2009, 17:21 It worked. Thanks!
