not working on my n96. it keeps asking for Network access even after i select a wifi link or GPRS for that matter, the screen just keeps coming back saying "allow network access to send recieve blah blah"..

also is that a proper facebook application in there or just a link to m.facebook.com through the phone browser? as in you know the iphone and xperia etc have a proper app for facebook

We are happy to announce a new Snaptu BETA client (1.2.9)

The new client supports a new Standby mode:

With this client, when the Snaptu application is idle for a few minute, the client will disconnect from our servers, thus saving on phone resources.

When the user starts using the application again, the client will reconnect and continue to work as usual.

With the new client you should be able to keep Snaptu running in the background (for phones that support that) for long periods of time.

You can get the client by browsing to

There are a couple of known issues with this client:
1. Selecting menu->Upgrade may present a dialog telling you that a newer version is available. This is not true.
2. In some cases, the client will fail to reconnect after it was idle for a long time. If that happens you will have to close Snaptu and run it again.

If you're seeing an 'authorization failed' error message, its probably because you currently have a signed version of Snaptu, so you must download a signed version of the beta as well.

New Version Note :


This client contains major fixes to the client connectivity code.

This should solve many problems where the client seems to stop responding (e.g. being stuck on 'loading', or failing to connect after startup).

Please someone mod it with bigger icon. It stays ugly with this small icon. Rep for you when log from a pc

How to use

After upgrading, the upload from camera will become available as follows.

* Twitter app: go to "What's happening?". You will see a camera icon that will allow to take a photo using the camera and attach it to your tweet. You can use the settings to change image service.
* Facebook app: go to an existing album and click: "Menu -> Take photo".
