Install:

Do not use the setup from the windows folder!.
Install from the folder IMG your desired language version,
eg: CNEUNT2009Update_ENU.msi or CNEUNT2009Update_NLD.msi

The cards update starts automatically, cancel it, because we must first
unlock the cards. Start the Unlock Wizard, that is in your Garmin folder:
Start -> All Programs -> Software -> Unlock Wizard. If there is no unlock
wizzard, start mapsource and you can unlock the cards in the option menu.

Use the keygen to unlock with MapID: 378
Search ID of your GPS: Through MapSource -> Tools -> Apparaat_ID fetch.

Now the cards are unlocked in Mapsource, and you can now easily make routes
and cards to upload to your device..

No, not over internet. Start mapsource and go to the second tab of the right. Then go to card manager (first tab from above). Then go to the second tab and choose added. From here you must put your code.

You don't have to be in Europe to see the map. Did you try to zoom out and move the pointer over the Europe and than zoom in?

you have to unrar first, copy all content to a folder, go to IMG folder and run the msi file with the language you need. That's how it works.

I get a message that says that I have to verify a file, I can choose to ignore but I haven´t tried that yet. I´m afraid that it won´t work if I do that.

My advice if you don't succeed in another way is to install CNE 2008, i think this is an mapupdate. I had CNE 2008 and everything went OK when i installed this one.

However: Mapsource does install itself in C:/Documents and Settings/All Users/Application Data/GARMIN/Maps.
It doesn't matter what drive/partition I choose.
Check your system, please.
So when you have a system disk/partition (C:) with less free space than needed by Mapsource, there is a problem in installing the software.
Suggestions?

so, installed with "ignore" option, started mapsource and i get:

and garmin mapsource looked very strange, the buttons were messed up.

Follow up on the installation of Mapsource City Navigator Europe NT 2009:
See picture (in Dutch).
You can see the destination I ordered Mapsource to install in (left picture).
In the right picture you can see a list of disks where Mapsource THINKS is not enough space. In the middle column (titled "Beschikbaar") is the availlable space.
For disk D: you can see that 15GB is availlable!
I imagine that is enough...
It won't install on F: or G: or H: either.

It looks like some files are missing.
Check if the following path on your DVD exists:
\IMG\City Navigator Europe NT 2009.gmap\Product1\CNEuroNT_2009

If not, add it.
Unzip the files I give you in this post and my next post and put the files in the folder CNEuroNT_2009.
Try to install again.

this is reallly INCREDIBLE. what i belive is going on: (i have those files in that folder)
the path of that folder is TOO LONG FOR WINDOWS VISTA 32BIT!!! get all the files 1 directory higher to the root address and it will work! if the path is too long, even if you can see the folder with your eyes, on system actions, it can not see or use the folder, therefor it is giving errors on reading that folder. ****ty ideeas for using address allocations. go LINUX.

I haven't finished downloding and so cannot test it now, but it seems at your pic that the total file path is very long.

Windows does not support more than 255 characters in the total file path
Please check the total file path and if this is so then rename the folders.

Pronblem is that path is too long and files in:

and similar folder cannopt be downloaded!

1. Download torrent file and open it in "Azureus (best version is older one - 2.5.0.4)
2. Don't download it immediately!
3. "Rename Save Path" to "Garmin" (So you will shorten the path for around 90 symbols)
4. Now download all files and install.

I've got these maps working perfectly in my sat-nav, the problem is getting mapsource to transfer them to mobilepc. This 2009 map installs mapsource version 6.14.1 which after looking around i believe there is an issue with transferring to mobilepc. The solution is to go back to version 6.13.7 but after numerous installs of 6.13.7 it won't install over 6.14.1 so I am stuck for a way to get the maps into mobilepc.

Any ideas ?

i already said what you all are talking about.... there is no problem with downloading the torrent. it will download, but for installation the path must be changed. and the 255 caracters is valid only for 32 bit os's. good luck to you all.

@WildThing78: for using the map on mobilepc, export it to obile xt or any other memory card, than copy it to x:\mobilepc\ ;) and also add the adequate .unl file ;)

delete mapsource.exe before installing 6.13.7 and it will run.
but: mapsource 6.13.7 wont show the CNEU2009NT maps... sigh.
(and I don't like 6.14 as it is slow and malforms the map displayed)

That's correct. This file is one the weirdest files I have came across (the torrent path). You can unlock mapsource files using the keygen provided. :)

I have to tell that nothing like "City navigator.. " appears on the 2nd tab.

I tried like explanation of Barfman : No, not over internet. Start mapsource and go to the second tab of the right. Then go to card manager (first tab from above). Then go to the second tab and choose added. From here you must put your code.

kawa13, you MUST DO THIS:
-open mapsource, go to utilities, get unit id, copy the id
-open keygen 1.5, paste the id, select mobile pc instead of mobilext, generate the map code, copy it,
-paste the code in: "mapsource-utilities-manage map products-unlock regions-add" afte putting it there, ONLY THE KEY, it will appear as unlocked

fernan_ci ... get rid of 2 folders in the path of the installation directory: if you have let's say c:\Garmin City Navigator Europe NT 2009 (Mapsource Version) & KeyGen v1.5 - ech0 - [Only registered and activated users can see links] City Navigator Europe NT 2009 (Mapsource Version) & KeyGen v1.5\GMSCNENT2009...... move the GMSCNENT2009 directly to c:\ and than run the installation. if you have read the ast two pages, you could have figured it out yourself.


I did this several times with the same result, that mapsource doesn´t see the map and is not installed where musted, is installing in" C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\GARMIN\Maps\City Navigator Europe NT 2009.gmap" and still I don´t know what I´m doing bad.

is 3.60gb and the folder was already renamed shorter, the installation is saccesfully all the times I tried, I choose c: to install it but is installing in the folder above, and there are no any registry keys about the 2009NT update.

uninstall everything in control pannel-add/remove programs that is from garmin, mapsource, nroute if you have, mobile pc, city navigator europe, than restart your pc, than install this city navigator europe 2009. it will install also mapsource 6.14. try to do this, see what comes up

NONYHAHA, thanks for all, but I found the solution in internet. To the people that has problem with mapsource 6.13.7, and the map is installing in " C: \ Documents and Settings \ All Users \ Application Data \ GARMIN \ Maps \ City Navigator Europe NT 2009.gmap" :

1. Download the following file:

2. Extract the zip and place the files conv613.bat and gmt.exe in the folder:
C: \ Documents and Settings \ All Users \ Application Data \ GARMIN \ Maps \ City Navigator Europe NT 2009.gmap

3. Create a folder where the map should be mainstreamed, eg c: \ Garmin \ CNE2009

4. Click Start> Run, type cmd and click OK (we have a DOS window needed).

5. Type in:
cd "\ Documents and Settings \ All Users \ Application Data \ GARMIN \ Maps \ City Navigator Europe NT 2009.gmap"
and press Enter.
Now would you have in the folder where the cards are in (the path is indicated for the> character).

6. Type in: conv613 c: \ Garmin \ CNE2009 and press Enter (if you another destination for the cards was chosen by 3. You need this command accordingly).

The conversion process is now started. There are some breaks in the (batch) program, so occasionally you hit Enter to continue.
At the end of the process are some keys to the Windows registry, as this is completed, should be OK.
NOW ALL WORKING PERFECT :ilove:

In order to perform this mapsource version installation i had to:
_download all of the files needed (thanks the .torrent file).
_change the name of the folder i have downloaded cause it's too long! (to use theses files XP or Vista can't use routes over 255 characters!!!???!!!)
_create a code for mapsource thanks the keygen 1.5

In order to change this folder name i had to:
_stop the share. (bye bye ratio! if it's important i'm sorry and sad for my count! sniff)
_reboot my PC
_rename all the long folder names.

In order to create the code for mapsource i had to:
_note my garmin memory card ID
_write this number in the firstline of the keygen, choose custom mapset and write the map ID: 378.

PS: On my PC all the mapsource maps i have are installed on C:. Apparently no problem for the transfer to my phone.

so kawa13... here is the response for your problem:
mapsource 6.14 is the problem. the thing is that i think city navig europe 2009 doesnt work on mapsource older versions. version 6.14 doesnt let you transfer maps to mobile pc... so you will have to use a garmin mobile xt device for that:
connect your device, send the maps to your mobile xt device, than just copy the map to mobilepc folder ;)
the process is very long, on my laptop it took about 3 hours with copying and all.
if you dont have a mobile xt device, than download the map from here: [Only registered and activated users can see links]
this is only the img tha contains armin city navigator europe 2009. put it in mobilepc folder and add the appropriate gampprom.unl file ;)

than in the same folder, you create a new text document, in which you will put a serial obtained in garmin keygen 1.5, with the card id from mobilepc.exe/settings/about, and mapid 378. after you copy the serial in the new text document, you rename it from new text document.txt to gmapprom.unl . be carefull to remove .txt extension.

After reading all previous pages, i couldn't find an answer to my problems.

1/ How can I get the install program to actually install the map in the folder/drive I want. It keeps installing in : C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\GARMIN\MAPS\... Even if I've chosen another drive/folder.

2/ I've lost the search function (for adress) on my GARMIN 200 after replacing the original "gmapprom.img" file by the one created by mapsource with the 2009 maps.
--> The gps is loading the 2009 nt version no problem, it's the search function that is not working well.
--> When i put back the orignal "gmapprom.img" file the ability to search for addresses is re-enabled

you can not, new 2009NT is installing in the folder that you´re telling, and you can´t change it, only with version for 6.13.7 mapsource you can install in c:\garmin, but is made with cgpsmapper.:oops2:

Open MapSource, go to Utilities/Manage Map Product/Add and select the map, put the unlock code generated by Keygen and that's it. :D:

Click on the right box "unlock regions" than "add" and put your unlock key for the map in the box that appears.

iv downloaded all 20 parts (some from rapidshare spme from megaupload, realy took me a while !!)
but cant extract the whole thing!!!!
when i try to unrar the archive the follow message derives:

and in the same time a lot smaller window emerges that states:

i cant get it guys
all parts are of the same size- except the last one

i think i dawnloaded all parts correctly

Open GarminXT on your phone, go to settings/about and you will see your card ID needed for unlocking.

Hi. I bought a garmin nuvi 250w with 2008 map 2 weeks ago. I got free update to 2009 map. But I could not use more than one map(e.g., GB and Ireland/France). I then deleted all the files in the garmin folder and , used mapinstall to install all EU map. Since then I am not able to get any voice while I am driving. The info on garmin says missing audio files. Garmin website does not recognise my product any more as I accidentally deleted some crucial files(I think). Can someone help me please!!!!! My garmin is now useless. Thanks.

Use mapsource with mapsource version of the maps, cut Bulgaria from CNE 2009 and send to your phone OFRM instead, added to CNE. It works very well, and Garmin XT will search in OFRM.

A GARMIN guru told me once that we should keep CNEURO files too for compatibility issue between the maps...


Late edit: Bulgarian map has an issue with MapSource 6.14.1. For fixind that, there is an utility called "Mapsource compatibility fix" that i put it in attachament here. Enjoy

Europe 2009 installed from the msi files, works OK on my PC, Garmin works OK on my P1 but at the end of the process to send maps to P1 I get that *.typ file not found problem. Anyone with a similar problem?

I had some problems when trying to install but when I downloaded 2 zip files that were posted here everything worked excellent during the installation.

Maybe you did not install CNE 2009 fron the right file. Now you need to uninstall everything and manually clean the registry or if you are lucky, you have to use "mapsourcefix", do a search, it's on the forum.

Are you guys telling me that if I want to merge city navigator europe 2009 with adriaroute, and hungary map and SCG route that there will be problems?

Well I fixed it by installing it on another computer since it still wont work on my laptop :)

A GARMIN guru told me once that we should keep CNEURO files too for compatibility issue between the maps...


Late edit: Bulgarian map has an issue with MapSource 6.14.1. For fixind that, there is an utility called "Mapsource compatibility fix" that i put it in attachament here. Enjoy

Well than, try to install CNE 2009 again, but be careful:
Do not use the setup from the windows folder !
Install from the folder IMG your desired language version,
eg: CNEUNT2009Update_ENU.msi or CNEUNT2009Update_NLD.msi

And how i said in my previous posts, get MapsourceFix, it's really useful, and will fix further problems.

i've put the CNE 2009 and Bulgarian OFRM v4.60, but i cant search by address in Bulgaria(it searches only the addressess in CNE 2009 and not in Bulgaria OFRM v4.60). I've tried to select only the Bulgarian map from the MapSource but everything seems to be the same?!? With the CNE 2008 is the same thing

Rename the folder to something shorter, my fault I made it to long and windows has a charecter limit, but stop torrent share and rename main folder or copy main folder out of it and all will be well.

I have a problem... I have installed SCG and Adria route before Europe NT 09, and when I have started MapSource, it said that those 3 are note unlocked, so i started with keygen to unlock them... When i click on Unlock Online, after browser opening, another window opens in MapSource and I can enter the serial, it worked for SCG and Adria, but for Europe NT it doesn't open that window for unlocking the map, only browser and get me to online page for unlocking... Can anybody help me?

I've just set up gmpc with this map, and I'm buying it!!

When I start installing CNEUNT2009Update_NLD.msi, during the install, it prompts that a lot of files are missing, so I can't continue installing...

I've got Garmin up and running on my Samsung i5510, but I just don't seem to succeed in installing any maps (except for the basic roads that were already included in the Garmin install).

Edit: I eventually got it to work. Apparently I had the same problem as some people above, namely the folder name was just too lang.

You can even join them in one image format so you don't have to switch them, just go whatever you want and navigate...

If you want to use more than one map you have to make the unl file for maps and put in there all unlocking codes without any space so if you have 3 maps you will have an unlock code with 75 numbers.

You need to have MapSource installed on your PC and send the map to your device with it. Or search for image format of map and just copy to your phone.

I was able to download install and upload maps to my nuvi 250w and Map Info display NT 2009, however since the upgrade my sta nav dose not find satellite very often and when I select any area to Go, my Map is acting as though I am in UK. I am in Ireland and used the Map ID 378 as sepcified, Pleae any suggestion on how to correct this thanks in advance

it doesn't find any street or house..
i can select the country like italy or denmark, but when i type the adress it will say not found...

thanks for everything, I have installed on nokia N73 en it works perfect!!! with extern gps.
I have city navigator 2009.

But.... it are old cards! per example:the N31 is an A31 since oktober 2008 in Holland.
When comes the newer cards? and how do I update these?

And another question: where can I find poi for GarminXT and how do I install these? because when I look into the map poi there is nothing in it, while there are wel poi on the mobile I can see these.

Sorry ioji i am not sure what you mean.

let me summarise where i am
i installed not from windows folder
key lock working fine both on unit and in unlock wizard and in map install.

then it asks to conect to my device and the program shuts down.
if i open mapsource it opens with error and shuts down.

so all i want to know is how can i get a map preferable UK map on to my garmin xt?

when mapsource or mapinstall will not do it?

i have proceeded further .... map source now works and the maps are unlock in there but when i contect my tytan 2 to the laptop it produced an error. like i was getting in mapsource message is mdr_trim_addr.cxx-4227..... does anyone know what this is.

i have tried key gen 13 and 15 with card id and device id for both mobile xt and the maps. Maps are unlocked Mobile XT is unlocked but it just wont transfer.....

I download maps mixed together the EU 2009 NT map with all local map providers (better coverage). The local map providers are: Adriaroute 2.2 (Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia & Hercegovina, Macedonia ), SCG Route 1.9 (Serbia & Montenegro), Atlas Czech v7, Slovakia Roads v6, GP Mapa 2008.3 (Poland), NaviGuide NT Hungary (NEW v5.1), DACH + exYU + CZ+SK+HU+I+(updated SCG Route 1.9)
unlocked all in one img file, size 770MB from link below:

I have on my phone N82 on the memory card 1.1GB free space(from card size 2GB), and when I try to transfer this image file, it alweys broke at 80-85% transfering. Do you have any idea why? There is actualy free space.

From the same link I downlaoded Complete exYU Map ( Adriaroute 2.2 + SiCG Route 1.9 in same img file.) And this one I could trasfer on the phone without problems.

I have a question for anyone who thinks can solve my issue:
I installed the Garmin City Navigator Europe NT 2009 on my PC (Mapinstall + Mapsource) and the Mobile XT 5.00.50 on my Samsung OMNIA HD and made it all work with the keygen.
Now, I selected the Italian territory + Slovenia + Croatia and transferred them to the device and everything ran smoothly, but when I try to search for a specific location the application in the phone does not find it, but it is present in the cartography in Mapsource.
How could this be??
I mean, how could it be that a specific place is shown in the Mapsource cartography (it exists on the map) but it is not present in the phone's database?
Shouldn't the device reflect 1:1 the maps and all of its contents and places that are found in the original map used with the PC in Mapsource?
