WORKING:
First of all, you need to make an dump of the eeprom of your nokia.
Use any Intel-eeprom programmer (search in ip-mart or any other site) and any Nokia cable available and save a BIN file of the eeprom.

Copy the archive onto your harddisk into any directory due your
wish and run the NIEMI.EXE
Click the OPEN button and load the *.BIN file of your Nokia phone.
Select your new IMEI number and write it within the fields...
Select the type of your phone and click CHANGE....

That's all !

Nokia New Eeprom Tools? 'cause I think it can read data only from com, as I said, I have a Nokia N82 and an USB cable
Then, in Nimei, what phone should I select, there are only 16XX, 21XX...

Dear depuniet, in some countries mobile phones are blocked after stolen or lost by government on user's request, then that stolen or lost phone become un-useable in that country, and as far as I know its only solution is changing the IMEI of that mobile and it become useable.

Ok i already knew that, but in normal situation i dont think you need it, I thought maybe had other uses.
So it would be useful if for example you lost your phone, call the phone company and tell them to ban the imei and a month later you find it under a seat of your car.
Or also if you bought a 2nd hand phone from ebay and it appears to have imei banned and doesnt connect to phone operator.
But usually that doesnt happen everyday.

do you just make up an imei number or do you need to know one to change the banned phone??

Does it work on Nokia 6110 Navigator?

There is no reply as if this thing is working. No one replied yet. Also i m not sure about the phones it will work on. So i m feeling afraid to try it as my phone may become dead or it may void my warranty. Someone who has tried it and working please reply here with details about the phone model etc. Also tell me which new IMEI no. i can use or i can make my own IMEI no.?

It's not possible to change IMEI of BB5 phones as it's not a software thing to change IMEI.., not usable for bb5 phones, however I am not sure this thing will work on earlier models or not..
