Supported devices
For the moment, it's only available for the HTC Touch Pro (aka Raphael) and HTC Touch Diamond. Not tested on Touch Viva, Touch 3G nor Touch HD!
For PocketShield to function properly, device must have an integrated light sensor and G-sensor(accelerometer).


Features listed

Auto lock, no need to worry about locking, just turn off(sleep) your phone and feel confident.
Screen auto-unlock when out of pocket, or when light available.
Screen unlock by sliding finger or stylus from top towards down (vertical sliding rather that horizontal, for improved thumb ergonomics)
Screen unlock with gestures, by moving the phone two times to the left or right. Sensitivity level is customizable.
You can combine any of the 3 unlocking mechanisms: light auto-unlock, finger slide unlock, gesture unlock. One of the three must be enabled at least.
Answer calls by gestures, or by any of the 3 unlocking mechanisms.
Vibration feedback when you unlock or when phone auto-unlocks.
Digital clock diplays the time. Digits can be customized.
Screen shows caller name or number for incoming calls.
Screen shows missed calls if any.
Screen shows if a Reminder or Alarm has popped up.
Subtle but precise battery indicator.
Visible icons indicating which unlocking mechanisms are active.
Disable auto unlock with light when doing "Start-->Lock". It is re-enabled after power off and resume. Useful for when you want to have your phone locked while ON, ie while listening music.
Option(in Settings) to directly power off device when doing "Start-->Lock".
Auto unlock when stylus is taken out.

1. Install a registry editor and import the provided registry file either by clicking on the file or by choosing Import from the main menu of the installed registry editor. (Resco Explorer with RegistryEditor module installed is recommended)

2. Copy the .cab file to your device and install PocketShield v1.1.3

3. Run the keygen on your PC and click on the Create File button to generate a valid registration file (do not change the default email address)

4. Copy the generated file to the Windows directory and run the application

Hmm I don't know what I'm doing wrong but after running the .reg and pskg on the pc and copy shdpkt.shd to my ipaq device and then install the cab file from my device it ask for a restart to complete the installation, after it restart I look on the program files, the file is not on the list... I guess it doesn't work on my ipaq 6828?

It's because your device is not supported, it relies upon g-sensors.

Been missing this kind of tool/option for my HTC T P. Thanx...

2. RunFirstOnPPC.reg
3. PSKG.exe ->> ERROR!!

(unexpected error System.Windows.Forms, version=2.0.0.0 etc not found)

.NET 3.5 was already intalled (tried to install and it said its the same version)

did you copy the shdpkt.shd onto your /windows directory?

That other exe keeps giving me errors.
But the program says its activated so....

Look in this forum for Resco 2008, install, then install the Registry add-in in the included sub folder.

i can't do that... i have installed the resco explorer 2008, then i put the "runfirstonppc.reg" into the resco explorer 2008 folder, and execute it... error is the same... i don't know how to "treat" this program... any help??

No problem uninstalling, just go to Remove programs, select JDB Pocketshield and it's gone.

I'm confused, am i supposed to download the retail version then run the .reg file and put the shdpkt file in the Windows folder? I don't see a InstallPocketShield.cab in the pocketshield.rar.

Just download retail version and install cab file - it's preregistered.

Ok did as you said, but it happens the same thing. If i start it from there it still says "You have started pocket shield, lock your device and wait for 3 seconds and it will lock, blabla", even if i enter the setting from explorer it still says that i have to turn it on. And yes, under add/remove programs it is listed.:thanks:

Hello, for gestures there are only 3 levels, don’t do the registry, go to the settings and try with any of the 3 levels. The most sensible should be enough. Also be sure you are moving it while screen facing up


About light, its all we can get from it, it’s a hardware limitation. Should work fine with sunlight and yellow artificial light (not white)

same here!! i had it installed, then i unistalled, now i can't put the programs to work...

Mine worked for a week. It says that the program is registered but for the last three days it gave me a countdown for the end of the evaluation period. Today, it stopped working......Any suggestions!

Looks like the crack is not what its cracked out to be......
Maybe should be removed until a proper crack or keygen is devised

I made the crack works.
First edit the registry file with a valid email address.
Then copy the same email address in the keygen and copy the created file in windows directory and it works.
The soft doesn't tell you anymore that the trial period is ended and the software is activated in the about tab.
Just edit the reg file with a notepad on your computer or directly edit the registry key with a registry editor
HKLU\Software...
I think that was not working because of a non valid mail address...
Works so far for me. Let me know if it works for you all as well.

I don't think that the background can be changed in this version. I see that the new version (2.0) will be out next week sometime, and this will be much more versatile with background pictures and also picture calling, etc. Just HOPING that this crack works there as well.

Thanks to House M.D. for the original upload and thanks to raseone for the tip on how to get it working again.I liked the program but after the orginal crack expired I could not get the program to work again even by uninstalling deleting all reg keys and starting over from scratch but it is now working again.

I have tried it a few times. But it keeps showing only the old version. I tried uninstalling the old verision and then installing the ver 2.0, but same thing. Anyone else tried?

I uninstalled 1.1.3 and then installed 2.0.1 and it is working OK (not activated, of course).

I have installed the 2.0.1 version but some times the display that is trial and must wait 10 sec.
Something going wrong with the crack.
Also show that the version is Evaluation.
