Dear Friends,

I have always been trying to find a way of running skyscape programs on the desktop.
I have searched all across the web but didn't find any cracks for the desktop version
So I decided to work around this dead end by using PPC simulator images. I have successfully managed to run most of the books that are of interest to me. It also works with the latest 5 Min Clinical Consult 2009.

Please follow the steps below and enjoy.:COOL:

1.Download and install Microsoft ActiveSync ([Only registered and activated users can see links])
2.Download and install the Microsoft Device Emulator 3 ([Only registered and activated users can see links])
3.Download and install the Windows Mobile 6 Professional Images ([Only registered and activated users can see links](US A).msi)

4.Re-Run the Windows Mobile 6 Professional Images installer (Windows Mobile 6 Professional Images (USA).msi) and select the option to Repair:

5.You may receive an error message regarding Visual Studio 5 not being installed. Simply click OK to continue:

6.Next, click Start -> Programs -> Windows Mobile 6 SDK -> Stand Alone Emulator Images -> US English -> WM 6 Professional

Now you should see an Emulated Windows Mobile 6 Pocket PC on your screen. Once it has booted up, proceed to the next step:

7.Create a folder on your hard drive, name it PPC Storage Card. Now in the device emulator window ; Click File > Configure > Add a Shared Folder (The folder that you just created; This will act as your storage card) .

8.Next, click Start -> Programs -> Windows Mobile 6 SDK -> Tools -> Device Emulator Manager and once the menu appears, click refresh:

9.The Device Emulator Manager should now display the running Emulated Windows Mobile 6 under Others. Right Click the Entry and select Cradle:

10.Next, right click the ActiveSync icon from your taskbar and select Connection Settings

11.Check the Allow connections to one of the following box, then select DMA from the dropdown list and click OK

12.ActiveSync Will Now attempt to connect to your virtual device that is Emulating Windows Mobile 6. Once the connection has been established you have the ability to Sync many items from your Host PC to your Virtual PC. In addition, the Host PC's network connection becomes bridged, allowing you to browse the Internet using your Emulated PC's Browser

13.Now install all the skyscape books that you need using the same procedure as you will use to install on an actual pocketpc; use storage card when prompted for all installations.

DO NOT RESTART EVEN IF PROMPTED

14.Now copy the attached crack to the storage card using explore option of Active sync.

15.Run any of the skyscape programs and note the device ID.

16.Open the keygen within the emulator and run it; All your skyscape books will be registered.

17.Now once again Click File in the Device Emulator window and select Save State and Exit.

18.Emulator will close.

19.Restart the emulator from start menu as described earlier; use it as you use your pocketpc.

20.On each subsequent exit, DO NOT SAVE STATE.

Friends, its not only skyscape. You can pretty much install anything on the simulator to see how it works and then install it on you PPC if you like it.
Secondly it gives you an oppurtunity to test Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional - Free of cost :D

Mate everything work file but could be mind telling us
Step nr 7
hard drive part where to make new folder On PPC or Computer

Make that folder on the c or d or e drive where you store all your data on desktop hard drive.This folder will work as a storage card of your 'virtual ppc'.

it worked perfectly for me. i made it in my documents itself.thanks a lot man. i just installed three aplications thats it.i could not instal many as the memory is 30 mb.any way thanks so much man rep added:urtheman::thanks:

and all failed with same warning message.
How can i do now?

I find way to solve the problem, I uninstalled step 1 and 2, install step 3 first, then repeat 1,2,3,4,....... runing great on my pc, but it is quite slow.
I prefer to use symbian version on my phone, anyway, this is a good post. Thanks, bro.

I openned the keygen within the emulator and run it, but skyscape books still in trial version. Any help?

Thanks a lot, finally i can install Skyscape Desktop fully in my netbook :)
Emulator working in Windows 7, just replace "Microsoft ActiveSync" with "Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1" because "Microsoft ActiveSync" incompatible with Vista/7.
