UPDATE: The trick to re-install on both version 5.0.16 and 5.0.32 is to find and remove the file QuickOffice LM from the application manager if you have it previously installed and finally there would be no install error. Tried on my hacked n82 v20 its working great.

Thats great. I have manually deleted 5.0.32 as many people here said and now, i cant install this version. It says:"Cannot install". I have deleted quickoffice LM too. Really great. I must format my mobile.

Finnaly it works. I have copied files from extracted 6.0.166 to C and it works.

I had the same problem too.

Just uninstall Quickoffice LM (License Manager) and Quickmanager from the App Manager. Then, try to install again this new version. It will work fine.

Make sure the phone restarts after the instalation.

My hacked N82 QOv5.0.16 upgrade to v5.0.32 failed with "update error" previously, last night, successfully upgraded to v.6.0.166 un-fixed version, and tried to install fixed v.6.0.166, failed with "update error", i go to App Mgr and uninstall QuickOffice LM and QuickOffice Manager, then re-try, successfully installed, and working smooth on my phone right now.
Just share my experience in case anyone get same problem like me.

Sadly after upgrading to this version QuickOffice no longer has the "Recent Files" option which is very efficient for accessing recent files.

I upgraded to 5.0.32 yesterday on my E90 FW210.34.75. Works flawlessly except the spelling check.

Now I upgrade it again to this version. No LM problem. No update error. No edit problem....
In short, NO PROBLEM AT ALL. :D:

MOST IMPORTANTLY, I CAN NOW USE THE SPELLING CHECK!!!

I cant install it on my 6120, firmware v6.01. Updating Quickoffice from v5.032 (ILLUSUIN release which I used to upgrade from v4.5 a few days ago) to v6.0.166 is not possible, and removing v5.032 neither (probably because QuickOffice is part of the firmware). Besides, the v6.01 phone firmware is protected against HelloCarbide, so removing all files manually is not possible anymore. Please help.

Perfect work on E71. In first I can`t to install this version. I found solution - download file to MemoryCard. Sign the file on MemoryCard and install it from MemoryCard. After this all work perfectly. No need to remove previous version.

"certificate error" means only that you have to sign this application ;)

After trying this I still got the access not granted error. So I used Yamgui to extract the sis and copied the files to my phones C: drive. Quickoffice 6 now seems to work fine =) Might be worth trying for any others who get this error, ofc your phone needs to be hacked though.

Simply that you do not have the base application that usually comes with the firmware, so you have to install it first. Someone just attached it in a post, search for it, install and then upgrade to this new versione (and enjoy!)

it means that this is only "update" as the name of the topic says. You need to install the previous version first. And then install this file. I didn't have this problem as n82 comes with quickoffice preinstalled(version 3..., I can remember well)

officesuite 5 have nothing to do with quickoffice dude...

Works perfect on E51 hacked (just a quick check).

Upgrade worked without any hassle.

you right, dude. Always been mixing these two. :) removed the link. The rest seems to be ok. Just find some previous full release and later apply this update. I tried to do it for you, but i failed :) anyway they should connect these two apps and make one ultimate "quickof*ice suite 7" lol :) :)

All I can tell you is that my original version was 3.xx (where xx is something I just don't remember), then I upgraded to 5.32 and finally to this version.

Works, but I can't open xls-files. Always tells me the file is corrupt.
The same files open in OfficeSuite 5 without any problems.

If you all people would read carefully the topic, you wouldn't be asking such stupid basic questions ten times in a row! Just move your ... and press Search button... O god! Think, think!!! That's the main usage of your heads, it's not just a round thing to put your mobile against it! It's pathetic!

i have n81 8 gb. i installed v5 of quick office suite successfully installed to memory card. but when i install this it says install base package first. but after i installed base package i.e. some 4.5 of quick office onto the memory car, i cant upgrade to the ver 6.0.166. it says update error. so does this mean that i have to install it on phone memory. if its that way, then n81 has less of phone memory. I cant install it on my 6120, firmware v6.01. Updating Quickoffice from v5.032 (ILLUSION release which I used to upgrade from v4.5 a few days ago) to v6.0.166 is not possible, and removing v5.032 neither (probably because QuickOffice is part of the firmware). Besides, the v6.01 phone firmware is protected against HelloCarbide, so removing all files manually is not possible anymore. Please help.

For nonhacked phones:
I already found the solution. I reinstalled version 5. Later I uninstalled Quickoffice LM from Application Manager. And now installed version 6. and the installation went without a problem. And btw, for those who get "file corrupted" error: it's because of the unpacking error if you use X-plore. try unpack on PC, then sign and install. Should work.

get a certificate for your imei and sign this update with it. Then you'll be able to install it. (If you have the base files installed of course). :)

That is the version of Quickmanager, not Quickoffice.

i have started getting overflow error with this version.I by the way had version 5.0.32 on my phone it was working fine but today after two days.I opened it and once trying the memory card it gave me overflow error.

I guess i would try reinstalling it again.lets see if it works?? re-installed the application still overflow from memory card it works fine for documents in Phone memory

UPDATE: I have solved the issue.The problem was with some corrupt files present in the sys folder from an old application i unistalled.So i had to format my memorycard and restore the backup of card i created previously back on the card and it works fine now

Installed it on N95 8GB, worked out fine so far, BUT (if I'm not too blind to see): :oops2: No functionality to edit cell in spreadsheet, which makes it impossible to edit exsisting spreadsheet/create new. Therefore worthless for me...or has someone a solution -> used v5.016 until now.

Thank you for sharing. I attach the English spell-checker for quick-office. Its working on my E90 and my n95. You can download other languages direct from the application but i couldnt find the English only available for download so i have attached it here, in the case others were also wanting it.

that's coz you aren't using the proper version,go to the 1st page and download the fixed file

i get a error "Unable to open file.it appears to be encrypted in an unsupported format"

i think its a bug in the software itself

Please do not expect too much from this little application compared to your few hundred MB Office software...:punish:

However, you can encrypt your documents created by this application by using a 3rd party application, eg. Best Crypto or other similar applications.... :)

If ur downloading from Mobile and extracting through X-plore then it will say "File corrupted", Because x-plore can't do large file extraction. Use pc to Extract and Download or Download in zip format. search for that, it's been uploaded here.

so its obvious for us to use it and test it and let everybody know abt the issues.
anyways i just tried mobisystems officesuite and it open the same encrpted xls file.only issue is its a bit slower than quickoffice
so u know its not impossible.

You remind me that I've read this somewhere if I'm not wrong...

By the way, which version of Officesuite you are using that can open password protected documents? My version 5 can't even open it. It says unsupported file format... :(

God i'm having so many problems with this:ashamed:

I have unbranded my N95 and updated the firmware to v30. When I tried to install this I got a certificate error.

I figured thies means that I need to sign the .sis file so followed a couple of tutorials to do that.

Most of them require AppTRK to be installed - when I try to do that I get another error message - this time it says "Unable to install. Component is built in".

Does this make any sense to anyone?

Is there a way to sign the QuickOffice .sis file with AppTRK? Any help much appriciated!

i deleted quickofficelm from apps manager first then signed and installed.

UPDATE: The trick to re-install on both version 5.0.16 and 5.0.32 is to find and remove the file QuickOffice LM from the application manager if you have it previously installed and finally there would be no install error. Tried on my hacked n82 v20 its working great.
