Pocketshield v2.0.6

PocketShield is an intelligent locking/unlocking application. Prevents accidental touch on the phone screen specially when it is turned on not precisely by you.

Have you ever accidentally ignored an incoming call? Have you ever accidentally answered a call and left the caller 'talking with your pocket'? Have you ever accidentally dismissed reminders or alarms? …or 'never heard of them'? Has your phone ever freezed because of too much 'touch input'? Have you ever had programs mysteriously starting 'by themselves'? Have you ever auto-replied an email or SMS with the text 'dfjhfiv3rvp8ikk' or such?

If you answered 'YES!' for any of the questions above, then this is great news for you!

Features:
• Auto lock, no need to worry about locking, just turn off(sleep) your phone and feel confident.
• Screen auto-unlock when out of pocket, or when light available.
• Screen unlock by sliding finger or stylus from top towards down (vertical sliding rather that horizontal, for improved thumb ergonomics)
• Screen unlock with gestures, by moving the phone two times to the left or right. Sensitivity level is customizable.
•You can combine any of the 3 unlocking mechanisms: light auto-unlock, finger slide unlock, gesture unlock. One of the three must be enabled at least.
• Answer calls by gestures, or by any of the 3 unlocking mechanisms.
• Vibration feedback when you unlock or when phone auto-unlocks.
• Digital clock diplays the time. Digits can be customized.
• Screen shows caller name or number for incoming calls.
• Screen shows missed calls if any.
• Screen shows if a Reminder or Alarm has popped up.
• Subtle but precise battery indicator.
• Visible icons indicating which unlocking mechanisms are active.
• Disable auto unlock with light when doing "Start-->Lock". It is re-enabled after power off and resume. Useful for when you want to have your phone locked while ON, ie while listening music.
• Option(in Settings) to directly power off device when doing "Start-->Lock".
• Auto unlock when stylus is taken out.

Supported devices:
For the moment, it's only available for the HTC Touch Pro (aka Raphael) and HTC Touch Diamond. Not tested on Touch Viva, Touch 3G nor Touch HD!
For PocketShield to function properly, device must have an integrated light sensor and G-sensor(accelerometer).

I was using S2U2 (slide 2 unlock) on my Diamond to avoid picking up accidentally calls but this app is much better (imo).

Completely screws over my Samsung Omnia. the program crashes when I get called and it removes the menu-bar of WM6.1.

After I get the menu bar showing, I need to 'on' the app again. Anyone having such problems??? :ilove:

i have also the same problem with the official 1.93 rom.
Also there is a bigger ring delay if i use the PSPP phone canvas.
Myabe there is some bugs again

Actually, the developers are aware of this problem, and I assume they have fixed it in the latest release......patiently awaiting some good soul to assist in placing it here...

did you edit the reg file to a valid email address? then use the same email address in the crack?

look at the cab man or registry setting under pocketshield tab and windows directory... the email address is included as well as the craked id file is loaded in windows. I do not post it if it does not work on mu touch diamond.

Supported devices

Software requirements

Microsoft .Net Compact Framework 3.5(if your device didn't came with it). The complete Microsoft package is 33MB for all PDAs. Don't panic! only a bit of it goes into your HTC device, so you may get this faster (2.64 MB).

PocketShield installation instructions:

1. Copy the downloaded InstallPocketShield.CAB file from your PC to any directory on your device.
2. If you don't have the Compact Framework 3.5 download this CAB and put it also at any directory on your device.
3. On your device, install the .Net Compact Framework CAB. If done previously skip this step.
4. On your device, click the file InstallPocketShield.CAB and follow instructions.
Done. To start PocketShield do Start-->Lock. To change settings go to Start-->Programs-->PocketShield.

at first i had problems with
this app. i had the trial installed previously and did uninstall it but although this version said it was activated i still got the 10 second delay when unlocking asking me to activate it. for ppl who have this problem it can be solved by uninstalling it, opening a regeditor and deleting the pocketshield folder from local machine / software. then re installing.

there seems to be a newer version.. same version number 2.0.6.2, but released on 9th Dec 2008 to fix the problem where for some, the taskbar goes missing after unlocking..

in v2.1 before unlock sometimes show me : "this is an evaluation version...."

I to get the software to say activated but i still get the time out screen sometimes telling me it is evaluation version.

I had the same problem but for some reason it worked fine for 2 days before the delay screen popped up. Touch wood its fixed now. I uninstalled it (or any older versions for that matter) and using my reg editor navigated to local machine/software/ and deleted the whole pocketshield folder. Reinstalled and its ok so far :dance: See what hapens in a couple of days :roll:

could it be the settings you are using? Im using slide unlock and stylus unlock with vib feedback, keep buttons locked with call, if wakes power off after 20secs. slide unlock (pspp) is enabled, lock screen after call is on, show missed call from contacts is on. standard theme wit date and count for notifications.
oh btw got diamond running duttys v3.6 12mb pp

Ive rolled back to 2.0.6.2 cos i had the delay screen pop up again. it says its activated but what i have noticed is it still has the boxes to enter reg info in.

Just got the timeout pop up screen just now again.. its been a day or so but now i got it again.

Logged on to see if there was a fix yet.. i guess not

If you don't want to see (but only for couple of days) the pop up screen about evaluation expired, go to PocketShield 2.1 config menu and press green "A" bottom button. The you have to click "Cancel" and pop up screen won't show itself for couple of days. After that you have to repeat all the procedure.

Personally I uninstalled v.2.1 and went back to 2.0.6.2 What is bizzare - unlocking with "OK" key works still ;)

Keep gettin registration failed when trying to activate with TSRH and any random e-mail address. Tried pincode with and without quotation marks.

Just had an error stating i had to uninstall and re install. Goin back to the 2.1 beta.

The only working version of the 2.1 final is this attached one, but it is v2.1.0.1, and there is already a v2.1.1 out now, the old regestry fix does not work anymore, so we need some crackers on the new version to get it working...?

You can use a regestry sofware, to import the regestry, or try this cab with the regestry built in (plus the old fix).

You must have acces to the net when you put the pin!

I have imported the reg file in my registry and I have internet access, I put TSRH in the pin and it doesn't accept it.
After some use I still have the 10 sec countdown. Anyone who has made it work can help? When I use a random e-mail it connects to the net and shows a windows saying wrong pin number.

It does say 2.1.1.3 on the activation screen so he's right. seems ok so far.

I did tried. and Nope! the resolution isn't tailored for omnia yet unfortunately

used this update today and it says registred but aobut 1/2 though the day i got the activation screen...

no. it only works on diamond, touch pro, and HD devices

Still coming up with activation screen every now and then. Occasionally still renders the to taskbar blank, need to reset.

The number one represents the month (January) and the number eight is the date. I hope they fix this also, because it does look odd and confusing. :punish:

Its the american style date. you can swap them round by going to the date registry entry and changing it to decimal 2.

You know what? I agree with you that PocketShield is proving to be very unstable and seems to be causing lots of problems, especially with calls etc. I have also stopped using it.
Thank God that I did not yet pay for it. Would have been a waste of good money. :confused:

For anyone with a VGA device here is the latest version of S2U2. I didn't want to open a new thread for a piece of freeware that people can get anywhere. It's just letting you know of and maybe try an alternative to PocketShield without the hassle of searching...if your lazy...like me :LoL:
