INSTALLATION PROCEDURES:

==================================================

1) Copy the following in your Memory card directory

- GarminMobileXT.sis
- Garmin Folder (yes the whole folder - its about 38mb)

2) Once this is done use the "File Manager Program" and go to the root directory of the memory card and run the "GarminMobileXT.sis" file.

4) Next go back to the main screen and goto"Tools" then "Settings" then "About" and copy the "Card ID"

5) Now exit the Program.

6) Next in your PC run the "garmin_kgen.exe"

7) Enter your card ID

8) Under Select Map Product, select "<custom mapset>" then a popup will come out asking for the "MapID code:". Enter "632"

9) Now click generate on both and copy the;

- Device unlock code:
- Map unlock code:

8) Open Notepad enter your "Device Unlock Code" and save this as "SW.UNL"
* if it saves as "SW.UNL.TXT" delete the .txt

9) Next open Notepad enter your "Map unlock code" and save this as "GMAPSUPP.UNL"
* if it saves as "GMAPSUPP.UNL.TXT" delete the .txt

10) Now get these two files and copy it in the garmin Directory of your phone's memory card
(Memorycard)\Garmin\
* It should contain the file "gmapsupp.img", that's actually the philippine map
* if there is a "SW.UNL" and "GMAPSUUP.UNL" just overwrite it

11) Disconnect your phone or place your memory card back into the phone.

11) Now if you open up the GarminXT in your phone you should have the Philippine map in place already.

=========procced here if your not using a garmin GPS module============

12) The last thing we need to do is enable the built-in GPS. Goto the signal bar on the topleft and click on it. You should then have the option "Use attached/Built-in GPS". Select that and click "Enable". If you are sucessful you should get the following;
Unit Id:
########
Assisted GPS (signal Bar)

AND THATS IT! YOUR DONE!!! Acuquire the GPS signal and it should show you exactly where you are in the Philippines!

sorry, took me awhile to upload the attachment. drove around makati, alabang, las pinas and paranaque. Its pretty good naman except a few names are i believe old (like sucat road is called something else) and the map is off sometimes by a few meters. Like if i'm driving on the south super highway it shows that i'm on the service road. But still not bad :)
