The dont panic software works very well with the new version 6 MMI maps. The only problem I faced is with shifting the favorites part. These dont work in the new Dont Panic software. The format is different . For this try manually editing the favorites txt file.
Try copying the maps in the maps folder and also deleting the already present in the folder. Of course dont forget to copy the License crack files with the maps.

Actually at first i did the same and while looking at the map it didn't show India and i thought it was not supporting the V6 maps. Later when my GPS got activated, i found India and i was working well.

Hi, Any one find the user guide/manual for the Mireo 4.0 - don't panic version.
I need some help on changing the time format(24/12 hrs), landscape mode, log mode, gps settings, import POI, gps logs, etc.
Any link will be helpfull.

I completely agree with you.
The Mireo don't panic actually panics.
The best version is 3.1 black edition.

One question I have. In one of my routes there is a flyover in "West Bengal Kona Expressway & N.H. 6 crossing at Nibra". But when I am routing, the route is always calculated below the flyover. Even when I mark the begining of the flyover as start point & a middle portion of the flyover as end point, it says "there is no road". But it was working in the MMI version 5.0 Map for Mireo & it is also working in the version 6.0 map of MMI for Garmin. Any solution to this ??

mireo v4 is not user friendly. lot of settings are not there.

Many problems will be solved for latest routes updates 2009-2010 all over India ,if we get activated premium privilege for the application.
Please help for that option.

Hi, Sorry I didnt understand your quote. For premium privilage is there any special route update? IMO i dont think so. In this version the house numbers as MMI people called are visible, even the 3D/2D pictures also visible. Its available only in some cities.
Is there any other option for premium members?. please explain we will try to find out.

Also checked Mire 4.0 dont panic version. really pissed off with the UI:confused:. We should have the user manual to explore fully. Not easy as Ver 3.1.
Revert back to Mireo 3.1.:D

hi all ,I tried dont panic with mapmyindia 6.0 map. My device running on WinCE 6.0 and sometimes it showing "departure is isolated" error when I opt longer routes. This software is giving a rich look and professional feel by its high quality graphics but its not user friendly unlike Mireo Black edition versions.Need more user tap for getting or giving info. anyway persons bored with Black edition graphical interface can try this breed....just for a change. Thats my view.

@mjose .....I revert back to Mireo BE 3.1 like you :) dont panic gave me enough panic

I tried Mireo viaGPS 4.0 don't panic edition on my chinese gps. The experience is no better than black edition 3.1; Did not find many settings also the UI is clumsy. And the most disappointing thing is that it fails to calculate route and received all the time departure isolated error.
3.1 works most of the time but at times it does panic(when tried to add more than few via points). Otherwise it's almost perfect. I would prefer one more option though that will perhaps add a value. The log trail of the traveled route just like that in Garmin is still missing in mireo which will come in to rescue when offroading.

Navigon is one good software, but maps r still Navteq, use OVI Maps it's much better.

SYGIC AURA with MapmyIndia Delhi Map (DOWNLOAD is available below)

I saw this one on my friends Android, and believe me, till date it is the best Nav software.
I have tried all, Sygic Mobile, iGo8, NDrive, Black Edition
but no one comes near this one.

So smooth, move map using finger, all options are very user-friendly,
search is also very simple.
I managed to search even small street and hard to find locations on city with ease.

Bad news for Windows Mobile user,
it is not going to release for WIN6.5 or WIN7, as windows OS has limitation of 32mb virtual memory.
however android does not have this limitation, and its really works very smooth on android, I tested it.

ISSUES:

It is stock verion, not CRACKED yet.
Only Delhi NCR map is available till date.
This map only works with bundled Sygic Aura version 2.0, does not work with upgrades likes, Sygic Aura 2.1 to 2.3

Great that you have uploaded the most wanted map in this forum. This time we waited a long to get this release.
Also tank for walek75 from the other community forum for the wonderful universal licenses.
Just downloaded and checked .Its working fine. its V6.0
Installed in Mireo PC version . worked with uncrypted license.
Installed in WM6.5 mobile, worked with Universal crypted license.
How to:
1) Download the maps from multiupload link.( It contain full application + maps)
2) unrar the MMIv6.rar. copy the folder to WIN mobile device.
3) Then download the universal crypted lix+lic file from the link
4) unzip and Copy the universal crypted folder content to the above mapmyindia folder.
5) launch mapmyindia_navigator.exe.......ENJOY navigation

1) Try to install PC-Win XP version of Mireo and enjoy with the MMI V6 maps for mireo with crypted/uncrypted lic.

2)Same way install Garmin for PC winxp version , and MMI Garmin V6 maps using keygen . These Garmin version of MMIV6 maps will be available in other posts.
PC version - to work in Desktop/Laptop's installed with WIN XP.

Which lic version you used. Try crypted lic version, if not working then try with uncrypted ver. The problem is with the lic files. It should work.

## i have downloaded the latest mireo pc edition which works very well with greece maps. on copying india_mi_201012 maps to the folder

1. with crypted lic the application crashes instantly on running MMI.exe but with uncrypted lic file application crashes when trying to change the map to india from greece.
2. as has been told in the forum that application cannot change to india map automatically through settings maps unless it gets the gps fix
3. i do not have a laptop gps dongle , but a WINCE gps , i use the laptop for route calculation and planning and then upload the planned route to the Device
4. for people like me who do not have a gps dongle for laptop but would like to use pc edition could somebody pl upload the working MMI.exe of pc version which has acquired indian coordinates to start with.
I MAY BE WRONG IN MY ANALYSIS BUT I AM SURE GURUS LIKE NAVX2VAD WOULD LIKE TO HELP WITH THEIR EXPERIENCE

Mireo PC version 2.3.5x and 3.1- both compatible and working fine with latest V6 maps in my WinXP desktop. But in 3.1 there is no house nos search field. But in ver 2.3x house nos search field is there but the house nos are not visible on the maps. may be the MMI branding files mismatch.WIll check and update.

Probably my software has a problem.
Regarding Garmin in my PC, it is not getting cracked, Every time I start the software, it asks for whether GPS receiver is associated. & no Maps. Please help.

I have the MMI garmin map for 1092 as it shows in my phone.
But in my PC I can't crack. I have followed the process creating sw.unl but every time I start the application it asks whether it is associated with a GPS receiver ? Also when I install the Garmin software in Win XP it doesn't give me any option to mark the installation directory. So where to put the sw.unl file?
Please help.

Thanks for PC version and Navigon iphone apps.
I just extracted the iphone Navigation apps to a folder. But the maps folder is only 159MB. Just want to check with you how the coverage is.
Since other maps from MMI and Navteq are above 250MB.

@mjose size actually doesn't matter, coz mainly depends on how maps r packaged varying from software to software. has got a good coverage in mumbai/pune as far i can tell.

I happened to come across Mireo Don't Panic, with the Croatian and Greek maps from this location

The software is pretty impressive on my HTC HD2. However, I could not make it run with any of the Mireo MioMap viaGPS India maps ...

Have you tried running this? Can you please help how to make the maps run with this software?

Just zoom it. Put the *.3d.cpf,*.2d.cpf and the corresponding .lic files. Not every image/poi's are 3D. Only some limited images and limited cities.-Delhi,bangalore,mumbai.

Hi you can check the old post's for the feedback of this Mireo Dont't panic version. IMHO its not user friendly as V3.1.
But the graphics part look proffesional. But the UI part sucks. I checked and revert back to our old trusted V3.1.
For working just replace the maps/lic files in the pack with our own MMIv6 maps with .lic files.
Also the voice prompt is not working properly. We can wait for a update.

but yes using same on iPhone.. software sucks big time.. no poi displays, no 3D buildings, house no's .. overall a lame software to begin with.
may be next update will do justice..

so anyone saw new Sygic Maps.. 'ey have replaced with aura on iPhone for whole India.. and too iGo8 'ey r updating it with 1027 cities from MMI.

As you rightly said, the GUI just caught my attention. The usage is simpler with ViaGPS Mireo 3.1 itself.

Being curious, I deleted the CPF and LIC files in the MAPS folder for Greek and Croatia, and placed the 8 INDIA map files (i.e., India_mi_201012* ==> 2d.cpf, 2d.lic, 3d.cpf, 3d.lic, .cpf, .hn.cpf, .hn.lic, .lic files). However, this time it does not show any country at all.

Did I place more files than required in the MAPS folder? Or, should they be in the root folder of Don't Panic itself??

I am waiting for the iGO8 maps with 1027 cities!!!! That will be the most fantastic experience!!!

Hmmm ... The Don't Panic software seems to quickly diminish the user's interest ... (1) I could not find a way to "simulate route" route (2) Even with very high availability of satellites and proper COM ports, the Don't panic version wasn't able to lock to a position (3) You have to first "Add to favorite", and then "Add a name" ... you cannot give a name at the time of adding to favorite ... strange!

The biggest problem is after exiting the application ... The whole HD2 phone lags heavily to screen taps.... It appears to be inevitable to restart the phone for a normal operation .... :oops2: not good.

I think we need to find the settings details to unlock the potential of dontpanic.
it works fine in my 7" 64MB Chinese PND very well. but all the routing problems are there.
once it starts the routing, it works pretty well. I like the graphics. its smooth and pleasant.
MMI map and POI's are not that well matched with dontpanic. some kind of tweaking is necessary to make it work well with MMI map.
hope MMI is working on it.
Motonav 620 cities map is out there since Sep 2010. Hope someone having a Motorola Milestone will release it here.

I'm trying to install Sygic Mobile Maps v10 on WM6.5 but during activation, the Device ID field is not showing up.

Any idea how to find device ID on WM6.5?

for android ppl, here 's the latest cracked apk for Sygic v11.. install & d/l new India maps with 3D Buildings OTA... need to d/l using Sygic inbuilt downloader, be on wifi after all it's a big file.. oh! and please share maps here who so eva d/l 's

Hellooooo guys after using Nokia 5800 as gps device I am tired of the small screen view. So thought of buying one proper GPS device for use. Would appreciate if members here could suggest me a good gps device ( chinese would also do ). My budget is maximum 10k. MMI maps are the most popular and accurate so I plan to use them with it.

maps are MMI v6 only, but in order to use 3D stuff, need to buy original app coz it's in app purchase for iPhone..
have to try with android yet.. few posts back 've posted apk files, may b some one can provide feedback about that.

Kayani has screwed TA case big time in India.. outside it's owned by TomTom.. reason they haven't launched in India yet.
and worse, they haven't released map in ages plus no big provider is using spec for India.. only Navteq as of now.

Hi, Just download and Copy the software and map to the internal memory or microSD card.You can check my old posts to find what files need to be copied. After that, you have to set the path for the Nav program. For this ,in your GPS ,From the main menu go to SETTINGS. Then select NAVI PATH and browse to the copied folder and select the *.exe file.(Mapmyindia_navigation.exe). There may be slight difference in the UI path.
Like this you can copy different NAV programs like Mireo MMI ,Sygic or Garmin.
Is it ok to share what type of GPS device you got. How much you paid and from where you got it. Also give some feedback about its performance and usage.

Hi,
1)I am experimenting the Mireo ViaGPS 3.1 using a Chinese PNA- WinCE6.0 with 400x800 resolution. In this,the streets and road width/ sizes are small. Is there any way/setting to increase the street and road width/size. * Iam not talking about the street/road names font size*.
2) Is there any proper 400x800 WVGA WINCE6.0 port for Mireo Via GPS.
3) Also there is a slight lag in the UI part. The device got 128MB RAM with 550MHZ ARM processor.Is there any solution.
Lag is with Mireo Only. Sygic works perfectly.

I'm trying to install Sygic Mobile Maps v10 on WM6.5 but during activation, the Device ID field is not showing up.

Any idea how to find device ID on WM6.5?

Some Mireo versions show the map in different Zoom settings. I think its Mireo version dependent.
try a different version of the exe file and any of these in Ordinale.ini

Screen=WVGA
or
Screen=DNID
Or
Screen=WQVGA
or
Screen=VGA

Hi All,
Did any one tried the Sygic Aura 11.x MMI maps. Is there any *MAP* diff with the MMI V6.0 Sygic Mobile Maps. Did you find any major map updates. Not the 3D stuff.

Can i use the Sygic Aura Maps-only maps from the maps folder ( not the 3D stuff) with Sygic Mobile Maps 10.24.

Happy Navigation I have tried it, and Sygic Aura is so smooth ans user-friendly as compare to Mobile Maps, user can directly click on map pinch to zoom in and zoom out, flick finger to move map,
besides software different which is a leap ahead, Maps has additional details like road elevation is visible while driving, for example: if my route has to cross a under-bridge it shows very cleary that I have go under the bridge,
and if we are driving on hilly area, road ups and downs are also very nicely visible showing if road is inclining or decling

And AURA maps can't be used with MobileMaps, maps versions are not compatible with each other.

But unfotunately, Sygic Aura will never be released for winCE 6.X nor even for windows mobile 7

Windows mobile OS has left behind and Microsoft didnt update itself with the competition.
I have been a winCE user for over 5 years and switched to Android in 2011
and recommend the same to you.

My devices over the years
Win Mobiles:
HTC touch -> HTC TyTN II -> Samsung Omnia (i900) -> Omnia II (i8000 ->

Android:
Nexus S -> Galaxy sII (i9100)

here is more details from Sygic website:
Currently Sygic Aura is available only for Android and iPhone.

WINDOWS MOBILE:
Windows Mobile operating system provides only 32 MB of operating memory for application processes to run. 32 MB is not enough for Aura. Unfortunately, Aura will not be available for Windows Mobile operating system. Windows Phone7 does not run apps written in native code, therefore Aura will not be available on this platform.

SYMBIAN:
Aura for Symbian is not available yet. The hurdle is with Ovi Store limitations on application size. Sygic are working with Nokia to solve this issue.

I too have migrated from Symbian to Windows Mobile and finally to Android! And it has been smooth sailing from there!

If you are looking for the latest(updated 23.06.2011) Sygic Aura Navigator Maps(All countries) for ANDROID devices, go here: Latest Sygic Aura Navigator Maps for v11.0.1/v11.0.2 ([Only registered and activated users can see links](being-updated)&p=3663190&viewfull=1#post3663190).

I have provided Base Files, the Apk v11.0.2 and all country maps seperately. So, you can download only those files you want.

Please note that all files can be downloaded directly into your device after installing the .apk. I am just providing an alternative download option for people with limited data plans or slower GPRS/3G speeds and those unlucky ones who don't have WiFi. Remember that many files will be huge(Base files alone are around 250 MB or more) and can drive you mad if you try downloading them via mobile network. Best choice is to use a WiFi connection. If you don't have access to one, use my links!

Thanks for your reply. Iam using the Windows phone for the past 6 years. Since its the only platform which integrates the MS Office Exchange server fully and helped me to connect with my office on the go. Even i tried with other platforms like Apple, Blackberry, symbian,WP7 and within days revert back to Windows mobile platform. It fullfill all my office and personal needs and specially the **Navigation Part**. Its my travell guide for the last three years.Suddenly MS stops WM6.5 development and went for WP7. So the apps and support stops.
Mean while i was watching Android eco system. Apple doesn't facinate me.Iam very much liked the way new apps released for Android and also the hardware spec. So decided to give a try. Last week got myself a Samsung Galaxy S. Really impressed with the speed and the apps availability.First i installed the Sygic Aura 11. Really surprised by its smootness and the way it performs. GREAT.:D
**Sygic Aura is there for WinCE6.0** platform. Its available in OEM GPS products. And in other forum its available for download.
You can google Sygic Aura WinCe 6.0. The problem is Sygic Aura needs OpenGL. The WinCE 6.0 platform support OpenGL . Also the 32MB memory restriction is not there in WinCE 6 version. The problem is, most of the Chinese GPS navigation system which every one buys now comes with a striped version of WINCE 6.0.There wont be any OpenGL support files.We have to manually add it. No proper guide for this and currently there is no keygen for sygic aura wince 6 platform.
FYI: I do have a WinCE6.0 Chinese GPS Navigation System which runs Mireo MMI and Sygic MMI 10 . So Iam waiting for the OpenGL support to run Aura version.

Welcome to the SGS club. I got mine when it was launched. Back then I was very worried because of the GPS bugs and the lags due to the rfs file system. After trying several ROMs and tweaks, I still wasn't happy with the Sygic MMI I was using earlier. Now, with the arrival of Sygic aura, my SGS has transformed into what it was supposed to be with all the hardware it's got! And I'm loving it!

I am still using MMI for Windows 6.5 in my i8000, and I'm quite happy with that too!

Hi,Thanks for your info. My SGS takes much time to get a GPS lock. More than 2/3 minutes. Iam running JPX rom. GPS lock delay is a known bug in SGS. Since iam new, jst exploring the SGS and planning to upgrade INDIA specific ROM DDJV6 or yesterday released DDJV9 ROM. Can you help me which rom is good for better GPS lock and accuracy. Since i have a dedicated GPS unit for navigation, My main usage of SGS is to take GEOTAG Pictures which needs fast GPS lock and accuracy.

Well, although my tracks are not bouncing all over the place(which was the most annoying GPS bug in SGS), I often get a delayed lock as in your case. I am using DarkyROM v10.1 GingerBread(v2.3.3), and ZSJPG Modem. I have seen a lot of people saying that this is the best Modem for tall built-up areas like Metros, and sub-ways. I haven't checked the Modem's performance as such, but I can tell you for sure that I am getting quicker locks while using Aura. Its instant most of the times, although I can't understand how and why! Hope it helps! Do let me know if you will need any help with tweaking your SGS! :wave:

Hi friends
I brought a Radar Detector recently. it is working well in standalone mode.
it amazingly detects police speed traps very well.
but many false alarms are there when approaching mobile towers with Microwave antennas (K band).
I am trying to make it work with GPS Navigation applications like IGO, Ndrive, Sygic etc.
there is a mini usb cable to connect the device with PND. there is a switch to select standalone mode and PND mode.
the user manual says nothing about how to connect it with PND.
Anybody tried it already? if so please help.

I don't think any of maps available in India as of now supports/mapping speed traps, so even if you connected in PND mode the device alarms only when it detect a wave.

Mireo has updated the ViaGPS 3.1 software to build no 9856125(2011-07-05). Replace the .exe file in the MMI/mapmyindia folder with the attached .exe file. Rename the file if necessary.

Anyone got the link for v6.1 maps by Mapmyindia.

Another question, in my chinese GPS car dvd player, when i take mmi, the volume gets off. I mean it gets muted. After opening mmi, the music player sounds also gets off. To get it back I need to restart player. But some times it works with no issues. Any idea of this issue? But sygic maps works very well. Player runs on win ce 6.0 version.

1)For india map, you can check the old post's.Currently i dont have any active link.
2)And this is india specific GPS thread. You can check the oman maps in other thread/forum.
Oman/Gulf maps are in arabic/english version. Try Persian Gulf maps(Oman included) for MIREO in google or other threads.

Thanks for the info. 'm a novice with gps. if the maps are old, that is not what i want. i'm looking for the newest i can lay my hands on. the oman map that i hv is out dated and lacs info on the current road system. I did d/l an india map from here. not very new. many roads in kerala are missing.

any links. mine is a chinese no name gps that is surprisingly good. will upgrade once 'hv a hang of the device...

Hi mjose,
Several times i tried opening mmi, i think each time audio driver was crashing. Now audio is not playing for any other also..like SD card/USB music.
It works for DVD and radio, may be its not managed by win ce..Now i doono wat to do? Any idea to check its audio driver? I entered in WIN ce and opened sound driver icon in control panel. The volume slider is always at down side, even if i drag it to top..it comes down..:(
Any help appreciated.

I tried default settings and hard reset, but no luck.
Now i noticed, with or without "SoftwareVolume" in ini file, volume control icon is now disappeared from mmi maps. It is not even present in settings.
Hope you know that, even if i switch on system with out GPS card,no sound from music/movie player. But no issues with Radio and disc playing.
I checked volume settings in control panel, the volume slider is always at down side, even if i drag it to top..it comes down..image attached.

Some application may be the culprit. Like in winxp,sometimes the yahoo mssger/ gmail talk will disable the mic input.
Take backup and uninstall all apps.Reset to default.Disable all the sound options -events,applications,notifications and also disable clicks and taps. Then run MMI. If not you can check with other WINCE 5.0 forums. Iam sure some registry settings to be changed.

Hi, Better we can discuss over mail rather than this thread. Try Ceregedit tool. You can manipulate your device reg settings using your desktop itself. I have tried MMI6 and Destinator9, both work.

But there is no GPS signal. There is no voice in MMI, where as in Destinator 9, I hear a voice saying no GPS signal.

In MMI, The ordinate.ini file indicates COM1, 8N1, 54000, 0. I can change the file in the sd card as it says its write protected.

How do the change the value of COM port in Destinator9.

In menu mode, the GPS shows a Lat value of 90 and Long of 0 and time corresponding to China. I have changed the timing to Indian time, still this error. No idea how to check / change in the device, as there is no option seen to change the COM port values in device.

I have tried MMI6 and Destinator9, both work.

But there is no GPS signal. There is no voice in MMI, where as in Destinator 9, I hear a voice saying no GPS signal.

In MMI, The ordinate.ini file indicates COM1, 8N1, 54000, 0. I can change the file in the sd card as it says its write protected.

How do the change the value of COM port in Destinator9.

Hi,
Use the line
RecordButton = 1
in the ordinale.ini file below the [main] field. You will get the red record button to record your trips.

Select source and destination in the map main screen, click route button,you will have the save option.

Hi greatchap,
Buy the MAPMYINDIA GPS model with min 4.3'' screen size. All your requirments will be fulfilled. MMI provides best offline map coverage across cities.
Other option- get a chinese GPS device with windows CE 5/6 and buy map from MMI. Befor buying explore the device.Some may be locked. Also ready to spend time on the device for tweaking and customising. You can save little money..

Seems like that the Map is locked... More likely that it is a map for a Garmin PND/Nuvi device and cannot be converted into a Mapsource Map or be used on a WM phone with GMXT... Thanks anyway...
Can anyone confirm if this map can be converted into a Mapsource Map? then pleas post help data or better still upload and give link for the Mapsource map directory (Zipped).

Before posting, i checked in my WM6.5 mobile and Garmin PC version. It works perfectly. I just changed the map file name to GMAPSUPP.IMG and using the jetmouse keygen created a unlock code. Iam not sure what is locked.

Hello guys, newbie here. I have a Chinese entertainment system with GPS fitted in my car( Witson brand ([Only registered and activated users can see links])), it came with a PolNav map in sd card but it has no detailed coverage for India. The GPS operating system is based on Windows CE 6.0 , screen resolution = 800x480, screen dimention = 6.2 inch. I tried Sygic mobile maps India ver - 6.0 which I downloade from some other forum, and generated license key by using key generator SygicKG_v8.16_win, but the map failed to get activate in my device with this key saying incorrect license key. I have problem finding the device Id of my device ( it never shows up) , I put PolNav sd card and went to PolNav settings ( settings - info - about) and got the device id from there( R088BA41EORX) - and used that id for the key generator ( not sure whether the GPS device id is common for all softwares) . Please advice ...

Hey Guys,

I downloaded the latest v6 for MMI on my WM device. I was using previous version (black edition!) with 201005 maps. now this version is 201012 map it seems.
Initially, I copied the entire folder as it is on the device and tried to run MapMyIndia_navigator.exe file, but that is crashing. Also tried a couple changes in Ordinale.ini without any luck, later I used the original version with just the four map related files replaced with the new ones, didn't help new app and the old app with the new map kept crashing.

Is there specific steps to upgrade/use these new version? Can someone please help me get back to MMI with the new maps?

Hi ary0004,

If you bought the device from MMI recently, you can ask them for free map upgrades. Current map ver is 6.1. This is the best method to get the latest one. Once your details are checked, they will send you the updated map link. Original license are tied up with the device id or sdcard id.
In our forum, we have only v6.0 map. If your device is running WIN CE 5/6, you can use the map from our forum.
Pls send us your feedback.

You can't load the MMI software in your GARMIN device. MMI software Mireo is WINCE 5/6 based.But you can use the MMI GARMIN Map in your device.
MMI map coverage is better than garmin maps. It depends on the city where you use.The latest map of Garmin CNI 2011.30 is from Navteq.
You can use the MMI Garmin v6.0 map or the latest MMI Garmin v6.1 map.V6.1 map got very good coverage,update,accuracy and details. But as of now v6.1 map can be bought from MMI only.

I was eagerly waiting for latest india map for igo8 right from your last post. Currently I am using the one from your previous post, India 2009-02 from MMI.
I am really a fan of igo and I understand that India map for igo8 ot primo or any igo versions are very rare and difficult to get. I beleive you are the only one to post atleast 2009 version.

From your post, I hope NAVTEQ may provide india map for igo. I am using WINCE5 and 6 devices. Igo uses map files with extension .fbl. Where are NAVTEQ uses .map. I have working version of india map for NDrive. Ndrive uses NAVTEQ map. So i tried copying nDrive india.map file to igo map folder. But no luck:emptymind:

What we ll do to explore and find a new map for igo to run in WINCE?
Scraching my mind... Pls put some light, navx2vad...:D

Saw the TOMTOM india launch news last month end. It covers 5000 cities with 100% coverage. :excited: .Also their device starts from Rs.15000 to 20000. Any hands on experience with tomtom?.
MMI latest map has 1200 city coverage only.

I found the sdcard.dll, it is in page 228, d/L and replaced the sdcard.dll in Drive\WindowsMobile\drivers\ppc with this one. But the device still not showing the DID.
When I select activation - manual activation a message window with information icon appears - there is only a underscore( _ ) and no DID. See screen shot ...

Its a problem with .dll files only. Delete the deviceimei.dll. Replace the sdcard.dll with the attached one.
-First delete the entire folder in the device
-Modify the changes in a computer folder
-Then make a fresh copy to the device.

If not i will send you my working .dll files.

well i came across a package extracted from from mapmyindia's Zx150 Vx240 TrailBlazer 6.1, the total package folder of map and software has gained in weight and now is 491mb in size, it 2d and 3d content has gone from `6 and 16' to `61 and 35' mb and it actual map has gone from 235 to 311mb. Software is dated 1/6/2011 AND is latest in mapmyindia's context, , it is more colourful as different colours and symbols have been added to differentiate different type of POI l

well the package is not workable as yet but what can be done is that software be upgraded on the device, , keeping the old maps and license files to be the same, transferred from old installation to this new folder.it gives different upgraded colour scheme to same maps, different icons for POIs, marginally more functionality and have added pics in `geopics' in menu and other small things like that .

will post the software tomorrow.

that's what i was informing that iam running the new sofware with old maps, indian specic voice ` sangeeta female, doesn't speak. old sofwae could be enabled by ordinale.ini but doesn't have pictures in geopics folder , .New software has pics few famous POI of every state in `geopix' in settings , one clicks on the pics and it takes it on the map. The package that i found doesn't have .lic files . will post the full package except the maps in a day or two

Hi, D/L the LC -link from the first page. Extract it. You will get 2 folders . First try with crypted folder. Copy all the files in this folder to your device.If not try with uncrypted folder. Any one should work.
Also it will be easy, if you give more info abt the device,sw version, and from where you d/l.

Hi mjose, still can't get the DID. which device do you mean by ' first delete the entire folder in the device' ? I deleted the folder from the sd card and pasted the modified folder with d/l sdcard dll ... but the same. The mireo black edition is working fine with my device and do not need sygic, but just curious to find out why I can't get DID. Thanks.

Hi mjose, my device is a car entertainment system with navigation, it is a chinese brand called Witson ( model - W2-D723V) which I bought direct from the manufacturer. Operating system for gps is Windows CE 6.0 , gps resolution output - 800x480, card supported - sd card, max memory supported - 4gb, map supported - PolNav, Igo, Route66, Tom-Tom, Support 3D Maps , screen type - Digital TFT touchscreen. I d/l the winrar file called 'Indian Curry' following the links in this thread , extracted and installed the extracted application 'Sygic Mobile Maps India V6.0' in my pc, after start the Sygic assistant program and installed the program on the sd card through a card reader/writer... after modifying sdcard.dll tried the sd card in my car gps device but unable to get the DID. I have also d/l the key generator called 'SygicKG_V8.16', but with out DID can't generate the correct working key. Hope you will have clear picture of my problem now.
At present I'm using Mireo via gps3.1 black edition - mmi v6.0 with crypted lic files ( d/l from this forum) which works perfect with my device... as I mentioned earlier I just want to find out why I can't get the device id of my unit while using Sygic software.

FYI:
If you didn't del the old working maps, Mireo will take the working version if available by default. It won't show any error.

I have removed all the old maps
There is no other map but v6.1.
it shows v6.0 but if you see all the pois are new.
Remember I dont have any other map but 201105 map.

I have a car navigation device on Win CE 6.0 platform.My Navigation software was Mireo BE + Mapmyindia Ver 6.0 This version is amazing, even though i was looking for MMI 6.1 version.Recently I got it from this thread and it working on my Win CE device.I saw so many Q&A is here about it and its lic files.Hence I would like to describe how I installed it. Before that I need to convey my hearty thanks to euphoria2u,mjose & sunielc.

1. I downloaded mapmyindia V6.1 from euphoria2u's #2574 reply [Only registered and activated users can see links]
But without a proper licence file the software is crashing automatically after showing a splash screen. My waiting started... :hardcry:

Dear Forum Mates...
I have a car navigation device on Win CE 6.0 platform.My Navigation software was Mireo BE + Mapmyindia Ver 6.0 This version is amazing, even though i was looking for MMI 6.1 version.Recently I got it from this thread and it working on my Win CE device.I saw so many Q&A is here about it and its lic files.Hence I would like to describe how I installed it. Before that I need to convey my hearty thanks to euphoria2u,mjose & sunielc.

1. I downloaded mapmyindia V6.1 from euphoria2u's #2574 reply [Only registered and activated users can see links]
But without a proper licence file the software is crashing automatically after showing a splash screen. My waiting started... :hardcry:

Some extra precautions needed while preparing new MMI 6.1 see below...

1. Remove ur old MMI 6.0 ("MapmyIndia" folder) from SD card root [make a backup on ur PC or move to other folder on SD card, old MMI 6.0 ("MapmyIndia" folder) must not present on the root of the SD card]

2. Prepare new "MapmyIndia" folder as instruction given by shane64 above.

3. Don't add anything from old MMI 6.0 (i.e. "FAVS.TXT" "RECDST.TXT" "Ordinale.ini" etc..) to newly prepared MMI 6.1 ("MapmyIndia" folder & "SHELL.INI" )

4. Copy new MMI 6.1 ("MapmyIndia" folder & "SHELL.INI" only these 2 items nothing else.. ) to the root of SD card. "SHELL.INI" is important for new device ID..

5. Run new "MapmyIndia_Navigator.exe" from SD Card root folder "MapmyIndia" by using a file explorer.

Bingo...It's working...

6. Make necessary settings via mireo menu...(language, route, poi's, time, etc...) nevigate some places..

7. After sucessful run now u can copy only ur "FAVS.TXT" from old MMI 6.0 to new "MapmyIndia" folder, nothing else....

Now application is not crashing. But it is getting struck at ''Opening map ...'' in the splash screen.:confused:
I have copied the folder ''MapmyIndia'' and SHELL file to the root of the SD card.
Pls put some light on this

MMI 6.1 doesnt seem to work.
As mjose brought out, it appears to work but not really as it is taking the old maps (placed wherever in the card).
With the old maps (6.0) deleted, it just crashes on wince 6 or just hangs in wince 5.

@sunielc, the ordinale.lix file appears to be an old one (04 dec 2010)

I think cmsan's observation is right. i.e. MMI works because v6.0 maps are present somewhere on SD card.

I did one more exercise.

I compared v6.1 lic files posted in posts #2574 ([Only registered and activated users can see links]), #2583 ([Only registered and activated users can see links]), #2592 ([Only registered and activated users can see links]), #2602 ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) using hex editor & I found that all these lic files are exactly identical. i.e. no change is done to v6.1 lic files which were originally posted in post #2574 ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) by euphoria2u.

Our wait continues for universal + cracked v6.1 lic files.................

Hi,
From my observation, the original lic files for v6.1 are taken from the same source.
If you check and compare the content of v6.1 lic files with our old version like 6.0/5.1 , there is a huge diff .The content of lic files are much more when compared to the earlier versions. In earlier versions the content will be some 1 or 2 lines. But in this v6.1 its like a page. Anyone can check by opening the lic files in a wordpad.
May be the lic files are not original or alerted to confuse people. Its taking so much time to decode.
My comments should not hurt anyone. just my observaton.

Hi friends,

After seeing all the problems faced by many, I thought it may be helpfull to upload entire mapmyindia directory from my mobile.
This directory is 70 MB and has all the files, except the maps, to make the download lighter.
Copy the folder into the root of your memory card. Copy the map files into maps folder. The license files are already in maps folder, so do not copy the license files.
And I hope it works for you all win mobile or win ce people.

Everyone is trying to get a working v6.1 maps on their own way. For sunielc it might have worked.
But for maximum peoples it didn't work. We never faced this type of issues till now and also it wont take this much time to crack a proper original lic files.

Let us wait for a working lic version.

@ All
Check with your friends for v6.1 original lic files. No need to worry about privacy. Only the map id will taken from the lic files and no other details. Identity wont be compromised. Anyone can PM me the lic files.

I saw all your posts related to the failure of mmi 6.1 installation. For me its working without any problem.My device is winCE 6.0 with 2 storage drives. 1GB internal memory and 8GB SD card. Due to various opinions from many friends, I checked both memory once again today and confirmed that there is nothing belongs to old mmi v6.0 . Map is india_mi_201105. I am also curious in my successful installation based on your too much negative results.Hence I am happy to help you to find out what is really happened in my case.I will upload my mmi 6.1 folder on tonight with screen shots of my 2 storage drives content.Same time I am asking few advise from your side too. Is there anything which is differentiate mmi 6.0 and mmi6.1. I mean a new road or a new POI or a house map data. mapmyindia website showing 6.1 comes with house map data of 18 cities. How many house map data's available in old 6.0 .Can we compare it on that way ?

One way to check for working installation of v6.1 is to check whether Settings-->Language has Indian English Option with voice of Sangeeta. Indian English option was not available in v6.0.

This new 6.1 mmi although it doesnt show in settings that it is 6.1, But it is 6.1 because there are all the pois are new.
The indian english voice of sangeeta is also there (it is not working in my mobile) if I set voice to sangeeta then my mobile goes silent.
There are lot of new buildings and photos added. So please dont worry about sunny day (If map ver.6.1 comes via checking through menu>settings>map>ver. shown there,then only it is okey.)
As people who got it working have no old map anywhere in there mobile.
I hope someone comes with a solution which will work for all.

Can you share some new POI to me.I mean a particular POI,which is available only in new 6.1. In that way we can make sure that our map data is 6.1 . Hi,
In the latest version, apart from maps, MMI has changed POI icon size,colour and symbol in the software itself (ie in .cpf files). As i pointed in my old post, this latest software will work with all old version maps and the changes can be noticed.Also they included a new Indian english voice sangeeta. Lic file is needed to enable sangeetha voice.
V6.1 map worked for some members here. They can check for new POI available and any new roads added in their device.
Also check the GPS coordinates 8.76455,77.736325 & 8.775493,77.730589 . In v6.1 map these coordinates reffer to NH7/NH44 road. In v6.0 no roads. I checked these in my last tour trip with v6.0.

Is there a latest map of india that can be downladed as this map is dated 2009.Q2
I happened to see the 2011.Q2 map of IGO8. The .FBL file is 110MB size, with 38MB size for the POI file. The demography file hasn't changed. The maps are yet not as good as the Tele Atlas map given by Sygic 8.24 / MMI BE.

However, in long-distance travel, the DEM file makes a difference - you can see hills and up-hill / downhill roads, and it shows up in the GPS device, and hence really fun. Another observation is that when routing to long distance, Sygic always attempts to avoid Cities by taking the by-pass routes. But iGO8 routes through the city.

Also, there is no house number / post code support yet.

Sygic aura UI looks good with 2D/3D graphics and use OPENGL + device hardware acceleration. Also it needs more memory and CPU power. Old devices without OPENGL can't use Aura. But lookwise very nice.
Sygic mobile maps is plane. No more fancy graphics. .

But latest news is Sygic combined both Aura and Mobile maps and comes with a new version
Sygic GPS Navigation.

Iam using Sygic aura in my Android phone and Sygic mobile maps in my wince GPS device. Iam not interested in graphics part, I look for accuracy, reliability and should not hang.

Did anybody got Map India 6.1 working. I tried all the step but still it is failing. I am not suspecting the software but I feel it is problem with map file. Either it is to with licensing or some other problem. Because software works fine and crashes when it says "Reading Map".

It worked for 2/3 members.You can check old post's and follow the instruction. Issue is with the lic files only.You can use the latest software with old maps.
Since we didn't get the proper original lic files, its taking time to make it open..

The coverage and accuracy has improved a lot in v6.1 maps.(courtesy: Sygic MMI v6.1 maps).
It will be good if we have the Mireo v6.1 maps. Try to get the original version to make it open.

Also we can expect a lot of changes/improvement from MMI in their next version.(May be 7.0)
New entrant "TOMTOM" launched their product with 5000 CITY coverage.

I am using my hardware with Meiro 3.1 Black pc ver. ,with MMI 6.0 maps giving best results without any settings & unwanted hassles.This is giving me confidence & 100% certainty that my new GPS USB dongle is working fine.

I am using a w7 ultimate based multi-touch screen 12'' tablet lappy,which has 4GB ram with 1 TB Hdd.,I made a swivel fixture to hold it.It has plenty of music,rear view cam attaches,Broadband so On-line browsing ,mails,TV & all my routine work while driving with surplus navigation.
Meiro Black is already serving but lacks in several interfaces.

Tried with older maps and newer MM6.1 software but no luck. Even deleted maps and tried but no luck. Seems new software really depends on maps. I could get new/latest maps working OK with MM Black edition software. Hopefully somebody will come up with a solution to resolve this issue.

Important: Maps r compatible with v8.3 & above, can be used across iPhone, Android & Windows. can find software in forum/********, with detail instructions how to use. (v8.3, Amigo, Primo, Becker etc. & resolutions supported 240x320, 320x240, 640x480, 480x272, 800x480, 360x640, 640x360 etc.)

For those who r new to igo8, software is fully compatible with TTS Voices, instead of turn left/right can listen to full street names. The best software in world, can bet on that, mmi is to slow on updating igo8 maps & too availability is vague.. only on Motorola!!!

I have downloaded the map but when I browse through south India my Primo exits with an exception. Any help? can u re-post the map may be....?

Hi you can install all indian maps. Check the first page and try one by one:- MMI mireo , Sygic MMI, Garmin with MMI/Navteq maps.
Also check the relavent thread for details.

Thanks for the information of CN India NT 2011.40. I will get original map update from Garmin. But is the MMI map for Garmin available ?? I have the MMI Garmin v 6.0 running side by side with my CN India NT 2011.30 and combined maps are shown in my device, since it is a garmin device. With these combined maps I got a very good navigation experience when I went to a LEH-LADAKH tour via KAshmir & back via Himachal from Kolkata in my XYLO from 28/05/2011 to 20/06/2011. Every details were 99% perfect, even the hairpin bends of Rohtang pass. It helped me a lot since I crossed Rohtang pass at 11.30 in the night on the same day we started from Leh to Manali & there were nowhere a living soul to ask the direction.

Any ways, any luck with the Mireo 6.1. Thnx to Portman for the Sygic 6.1, but I personally don't preffer Sygic.

Not ordinale.lix ,we need to find the MAP ID by decoding the original .lic files. Also if we know the encoding/decoding method ,we can create a universal lic files with the MAP ID. ordinale.lix is nothing.We can bypass.
IMO what ever the .lic files we got over net, it may be cooked to deviate us.

Download MMI and lic files from the first post. Copy the MMI to MMI dir in your device.
Copy the crypted lic folder content to the MMI dir in your device.
Just run the .exe file. No need to install. Enjoy Navigation.

Tested in Samsung Galaxy S only.

Instruction:
1)Extract the content to a computer.
2)Copy the Aura folder directly to the mobile
3)Also copy the sygicv1102cnst.apk to the the mobile.
4)Install sygicv1102cnst.apk.
5)**Dont update maps using Sygic downloader.
6)**Dont use any online services.
7)After launching the app,go to settings/regional and change the time zone to +5.30.
8)User guide is in the Aura/res/userguides folder.

I have a MMI 6.1 Mireo with original .lic files. Will those .lic files be of any use. Can u make it work with them.

Hi Hardsoft,
WM 6.5 apps won't work in WP7/WP7.5. So current MMI version won't work.Also Garmin may release WP7 version in the future.
Lumia may have their own native NAV app OVI. Also check the apps for WP7 which you intent to use. Without proper apps ,smartphones are like brick.Availability of apps are limited for WP7.5.
FYI Iam an old time user of WM phone and an earlier adapter of HTC HD7. But now a happy Samsung Galaxy S -Android user because of apps.

No, it will not. Windows Phone 7.5 is a totally new operating system, designed right from scratch by Microsoft, and it has nothing to do with the Windows Mobile 6.5.3 (the OS in HTC HD2). The programs written for WM6.5.3 will not run on Windows Phone 7.

As of now, there are a handful of GPS navigation software that are available from Microsoft Market Place (Navigon, for example).

This is also a concern I have, and that's why I bought HTC HD2, when HTC HD7 (Windows Phone 7) was available.

Thanx for the information both u & mjose. But this is really a problem because for navigation, to my opinion, the MMI Mireo version is the best & most user friendly. If that doesn't work in Windows Phone 7.5 then it is ueless. But as far as I have read, Windows Phone 7.5 is based on WinCE platform so will this MMI Mireo not work in it?

just a small request.. keep things simple this time, don't publish links else were, those who wan cum here & d/l.. no offense but many of you copy links, post as yours across forums & worst few go ahead & sell them on ebay India. last time 've been in a deep **** coz of all this.

Hello Navx2vad,

Do you know if iGO 8.3.4 (or any of iGO 8.3.*) available for Android? I am not able to locate one yet; I am seeing only iGO Primo or iGO Amigo, which are total disasters compared to the intuitive and easy UI of iGO 8.3.*.

If you know any Android iGO 8.3.* link, please share.

Another quickie - is there a way in Sygic Aura (not Sygic Mobile Maps) to "avoid road" or choose "alternate road" from the route menu? I could not locate, or is it there in a hidden menu?

Use the latest map posted by channygill in #2698.
It is latest and do not have the issue you mentioned above, which I too had experienced with old map ''MMI_2009_02.fbl''.
