Satguide has released latest version on 8th Dec 2008. Does anyone have that version of maps available. This version is an enhancement version to the Q3 2008 version and can be availed free of cost for customers who have legally bought Satguide OneIndia maps.

BUT what what about the map ver number r version 3066 in december and 3165 in november . how come ? and the destore.dll provided alongside for satguide version of destinator doesn't work.

the satgude version is definitely faster but destcore doesn't work ad what about version numbers of maps 3066( 97 mb) in december but 3165 ( 54mb)in november and it adds some 43 mb extra weight to it and what's more they have added ?

its the same destcore.dll used in destinator 7 not a different one & this one is working i checked. u can use any cracked destcore.dll from destinator 7

hey guys i manage to get till license key crack but the activation key crack m unable to find .. on destinatior site wen i try activating with license key it says not valid.
if i'll b able too crack i'll let u know .. so dat u can directly activate maps instead of using cracked destcore.dll

sameas the mobile one but works on laptop and the desktop

we can use the same maps which we use for the mobile version

works fine with vista also

Anothr concern is that how do we add the india.cpf file and the india.lic file in the mio folder do we just place it any where in the folder or make a folder with a specified name if u suggest and then place the files there...

just place the map & lic fiel in mio folder, no specific folder & open the exe, u'll be able to use smooth. regarding exiting, u can find the exit button on 3rd page of menu.

Can someone please post the combination of latest Satguide's India map + latest destinator that will run on VGA screen, especially on HTC Diamond, without any resolution tweaks.

I have been trying several combination, but I am unable to launch destinator, 7 or 8, with indian map.

destinator/satguide mainly cums for qvga devices, u need to use vga hack in order to use.
btw use mapmyindia(newer version build on mireo core) is faster, lighter & much better than satguide in all ways plus the poi's r more in quantity.

d/l mapmyindia miomap2008 version along with cracked map & use it on ur cell from back pages on this thread.

why does miomap stalls while travelling in routes not calc by the navigator.any answers

I got an opportunity to use Satguide and MMI latest maps on a long trip in Kerala. MMI outperforms satguide in map reliability. surprisingly, satguide maps vanish near some intersections. and no roads are shown in some sections of NH bye-passes built long time back! but MMI is really good. It shows places and POI eventhough there are so many spelling mistakes in place names.

MMI needs to correct the mistakes in place names to avoid embarassment to the users.

above all, we are in India and something like this is really wonderful to happen here!

Confused ....

1. MMI and MioMap 2.2 - different comapnies and use different maps?
2. I guess MMI is MapMyIndia, and I have one which is version 3.2. Compared to Miomap, MMI is inferior.
3. Satguide with Destinator is totally different compared to Mio and MMI???

Which is after all the best one to use, as I am planning to travel to India soon, from north to south. Need which covers most cities with biggest and best updated POI and major roads in India.

Is this the black edition? The latest MMI release is Mireo viaGPS 3.0 black edition which uses antigrain geomatry library version 2.3

no its not the black edition.. its Mireo MioMaps 2008 software based on mireo library.its different from mireo viagps cardinale 3.0 (cardinale uses a difderent frame work) even if u try replacing it with mio.exe,mio.ini or mio.lix(from 2008 vesrion,it fails to open)

there r few files need to be debugged in order to crack via gps3.0 application.. autorunce.exe,ordinale.lix & splash.m8888

autorunce.exe has lots of information binded in itself.. u can use any debugger to check this out.

have came to know about a debugger "IDA 4.15" used by crackers to debug the app's .. trying to get the application..

MMI has shifted to miomaps from horizon.. there maps are now in ".cpf" format which are compatible with miomap2008 so at present MMI Mireo edition is better than satguide in statbility & gui interface & working.

well even now i somhow feel that the satguide routing is beteer than the mapmyindia.
i stay in mysore , karnataka and have tested both the softwares on the htc diamond.
result is that when i click on thetake me home tab in miomap it takes me to the nearest road, whereas satguide routes me allthe way to my location.
may be if i am wrong then correct me please

no ur right bt routing... to the nearest road.. but the software is still in beta stages.. for a stable version to get released it wil take time.

but in terms of stbility, functionality & gui. i find it better than satguide.. its too slow(based on destinaotr 7) .. destinator 8 is fass better than 7 but still miomaps 2008 i found better.

ofourse its in beta stages gradually things will get rectified in later builds.

Yes I am using the latest Mireo build from this forum. Its good and stable.

hello friends, have anybody tried destinator PN with the indian maps.Well it does not work for me.

mine is htc and its windows 6 professional .i tried today the maps it navigates for 10 ;15 min then stalls.it happens every time

I selected the map from the preferences as well? any ideas what I could be doing wrong? thx in advance.

Fine we will probably be having the next upgrade of the satguide on25 jan 2009 or 1st week of february.

Mireo Cardinale only supports Landscape version no potarit version.. u can check there previous builds only landscape orientation possible.

Tried everything but MMI not working with my HTC P3600 or Orange SPV M700 WM6. Com port 9. All GPS softwares including Destinator 8 working, but failed to run Mireo mioMap 2008 on it as no GPS signal found inspite of my editing the ini file and so on. Any Help!!!

in earlier Inav_loaded I did a trick to change the volume as the audio files were in WAV format.

u can save poi's & routes in kml format in black edition. this feature is not yet avilable in miomaps edition.

try editing miomap.ini file like this.

use MMI viagps 3.0 black edition.. surely it will work.
infact both miomaps / balck editon uses same gps ports & settings on pda's.

u can check gps settings of ur device by using ne gps software like gps utilities n change the port accordingly.

destinator do has a facility to take settings automatically but these two softwares work on specific port & speed only.

try editing miomap.ini file like this.

use MMI viagps 3.0 black edition.. surely it will work.
infact both miomaps / balck editon uses same gps ports & settings on pda's.

u can check gps settings of ur device by using ne gps software like gps utilities n change the port accordingly.

destinator do has a facility to take settings automatically but these two softwares work on specific port & speed only.

I have already done all those settings, But of no avail.

if ur using MIOMAP 2008 dn its miomap.ini & if ur using mireo cardinale dn its ordianle.ini, these files get auto generated when u start the exe.

if you dont have ini file then generated by exe wen u start doesn't hav gps fix nor exit button & too navpix option.. like most of the common things u wont find.

please check for miomap.ini file in mio folder & edit accordingly.

However, just a small confusion, the maps which you have provided for MIO, are the latest maps or not as the file itself says 200809 and also some roads which are shown in inav and satguide near my workplace are not shown in these maps.

about place listings, yes sum r missing but u can add manually.
if the gps signal is cuming where u r. simply click on the map, a pin will come, save the place in favourite ... next time u want to navigate there u can choose automatically.

yes but if u say bt map coverage .. garmin maps r good.. work even in the remote places, i checked satguide/mapmyindia & garmin, garmin is elaborative as on road...

satguide has compiled the upgraded oneindia map on 30-Jan-09. ihad the unofficial copy for the testing of the poi's which i had shared with them for my city.

garmin is far ahead of this version of the satguide map atleast.

Went directly to the installation folder and started the application from there

u need atleast 16mb main memory free.

ok there is an another way around to install also but first time u need to install the normal way.

wen u r done with installation just copy the "gramin" forlder in root of ppc which includes maps, license keys, voice files & other stuff to some folder.

uninstall garmin from your device( if some traces left in main memory delete them also)

now copy back the "gramin" folder to root of pcc u copied in other folder previously, go to Apps>Wm n click queppc.exe, it will prompt with the instructions, follow them.

the application will start & this way it helps to save a lots of space.

Everything is working now, i get a gps fix and can see my location on the map.
But on selecting Address in 'where to' option, it says that i need detailed maps.
Isnt the Indian map a detailed one ?
Hence I am only able to navigate to POI's, and cities.
Any idea how to route to addresses ?

try copying mapmyindia black edition........this works on htc diamond but if u recieve a call or use some of menu option ur phone will hang.........this is wat i have experianced

there is no need to copy the garmin folder in SD card. the uninstaller did not delete it.

SATGUIDE & MAPMYINDIA.

apart from these Garmin & Route66 are two other companies which provides gps support.

Map providers are Tele Atlas & Navteq.

try changing the setting in the ordinale.ini file to vga....that did it for me....

I had Touch Diamond earlier and now I'm using Xperia. Detinator 7, 7.5, 8, MMI available on this forum/ ipmart fail to boot up on VGA and WVGA devices. The crack for Dest 7 worked on my TYTN II.

On VGA nad WVGA, Dest 7/ 7.5/ 8 work without the cracked destcore. But when cracked destcore is replaced the application doesn't boot.

MMI tries to bootup but doesn't goes beyond the welcome screen.

Both require soft reset to use the device again.

Route 66 also requires unlock for India/ Delhi maps. But its not available.

If anybody has the same provide.

Trying Sat nav on new HTC touch 3G. the new Destcore.dll does not enable Nov2008 Q3 map. Not able to select the map. The MMI and MI does not detect GPS. I have configured in .ini file COM port =4 as other application are detecting on com 4.

this version is an older build before nokia take over smart2go n termed as Nokia Maps.

Tried Mio maps / MMI / MMI BE / Satguide on HTC P3300

Mio Maps = Fail screen shows , then goes behind the PPC Desktop,
MMI BE = Fail screen shows , then goes behind the PPC Desktop,
MMI = Fails to detect GPS
Satguide = Works but not soo good compared to the MAPKING bundle i got with my HTC
even though Maps were older , I found POI listed properly, McDonald hospitals etc.
Satguide has no POI available when i click POI shows "No Categories" then blank list.

Does anyone have MMI Latest (WayFnd) check MMI website u will understand.
So far I am sticking to my Mapking Original.

this thing only comes when files are not present.. check out.

in case of satguide in order to get to poi's,u have to click 'more' , will display all cities, choose city & then search for poi.

wayfinder requires active gprs connection. u can download it from [Only registered and activated users can see links] , comes with 7day trial.

I did copy with Mio map, but still the app started then went behind the windows desktop, its weird, will try to use the map lic file with mmibe.

Okay it works, now to see if it uses the GPS onboard or not
it works but MMiBe screws up the background, I mean the windows taskbar
but it works, and looks much better too

either black edition or miomap2008.
both uses the same map data.. the difference is in gui.
miomap 2008 is easily searchable where as black edition is bit delayed in searching poi's.

check the gps baud rate.. in .ini file.. change to 4800.. that is the optimum value.

While looking for updated maps for india, i found this update on net which is downloadable. But Zip archive is password protected. Help me out guys( Atleast those who are looking latest Gramin Maps by Navteq). I am attaching the link for you.

Smart2go mapping is awesome but no navigation voice guidance asking for liscence any clue navx and team

sorry buddy.. no navigation for smart2go.. smart2go was bought by nokia in 2007 after that they have stopped making software for windows dvice, this was the last make.. newaz u need navigation license for nokia devices n neither there maps are upto date.

the other version of smart2go supports navigation but they dont detect india map as the latest nokia maps are like a set of different folders (diskcace/cities) but they use single cdt file.

i have tried on that build but india map fail to show up.if in near future im able to do it.. will post in the forum.

its the older map of 174 cities provided by mapmyindia in fbl format, its the same map in inav series from mapmyindia.

the good thing its cuming with igo8, but we cannot use as igo8 uses .fbl format , if any of u r able to get this map..please u/l here.

the blaupunkt guy here is reluctant to give me the map.. :(

hope some1 has the solution.

I suggest please upload it.
at least we will have an INDIA MAP to use with igo8 no matter it is a bit older version.

smart2go simulation & navigation worked for me with live net connection.
but asks for license for navigation later on.

anyways simulation works if u r connected to net.

navngo igo8 india map build is 200806 along with poi.. data for 174 cities.. provided by mapmyindia.

MMI does not detect GPS on my HTC Touch 3G, Any suggestion?

check the ini file.. u may need to change the port or the baud rate.

in handset check this

go to settings>system>external gps

gps program port : none
hardware : gps hardware port : port1 (commonly)
baud rate: 4800 (optimized rate)
access: tick the option

You can d/l these software's (free) which u can use to make geo tagged pictures i.e. pictures incorporated with gps coordinates.

These pictures you can transfer to your navigation software on the device & can use for navigation purposes.

I checked that an configured the GPS to correct port in .ini which is Com 4. The other softwares also detect on 4 but the MIO and MMI does notdetect GPS.

change the port to 1.. may be .. it shows up.

I downloaded the cab file, installed it. D/led Destcore.rar and replaced it in the folder. D/led maps and voice and put it the satguide folder. Is it the right way to go ?

gurbakash, i just opened to see the file in the archive , it is zipped on 12/5/2008.

but we are already using the maps of 20/9/2008. So definately it cat be an update.

also inthe list it says 24 cities, but i have47 cities in the map i am using and is of 40 mb.

Hence dont waste time for the password of the zip it is waste.

i recently saw garmin in garmin nuvi device, and it had address search working it.

so there sud be an updated map than 20/9/2008.

can anybody figure it out

may be this is address searchable.. coz the 40mb file is not having this feature.

until n unless u get that map, its hard to figure out.. i haven't seen any1 using nuvi devices here.

i have seen and used it. the map was given by one mr.rajashekar from bangalore.

he charges 5000 for the maps.

its coming on blaupunkt devices..

igo8 maps are the same as the oneindia maps from mapmyindia. it covers 174 cities. so i prefer using mereo 2008 over this itcovers 202 cities

nw what i suggest, price sharing to get atleast the new garmin map handy. Believe me guys, garmin application is great

for symbian devices you can use garmin. you will be able to use the same map there.

in satguide you have only 27 places covered . that is the symbian version.

below is the symbian version, but have to find a way to crack it.

i just had an interaction with one garmin dealer and asked on adress search feature. Accoridng to him they cant provide address search feature as it is restcied by govt of india. Moreover according to him data is same as of navteq provides for india.
Now point is that i have checked the latest nokia maps(NAVTEQ) which are full of errors. So no point in investing in garmin maps for india. I think localised maps are best like MMI for delhi and SATNAV for south india.

navteq has lot of errors in there map approach not even in india.. even europe & US...
u can check online here [Only registered and activated users can see links] its same like using google/live maps.

tele atlas maps are more precise & mmi uses tele atlas maps only.

if u compare google maps with live maps, google is more precise & ellaborative..
google uses tele atlas & live maps navteq.

so the latest garmin map we have as of now is quite good .. wait for 2009 release of garmin map. may be then some differnce comes in.

btw guys lets go for igo8 india map available with balupunkt.

Thanks navx2vad for providing details about map24.com. i have checked it and found it very accurate for my area. If this is in the latest update, no harm in aquiring one.

you're welcome.. but unfortunately these maps are not in the latest update as maps are released 4 times a year by navteq i.e. Q1..4 , for india there is no service provider which relies on these maps.
even garmin has accquired services of navteq in last quarter only, so its better to wait for 2009 maps, surely its gona have lots of changes.
