One thing though: is it me or the map is very clogged with not so usefull details, even in normal mode, i.e. "Festivalul Enescu", etc.? I
t seems to me that is a pitty that they needed two years to add all the festivals and the national parks in the country and yet I can't find a one-way street in my hometown! And this particular one-way street is quite important and it has been made a one-way about 2.5 years ago.

You can do a lot, much more, for start you can install many maps and send them to your device in one img file.... well, don't get me started... MapSource is one of the things that makes Garmin greater than others...Just try it and you always will look for mapsource versions.

What link did you accessed? They working just fine, retry. They just been uploaded, i doubt that they will be deleted so soon, even if the releaser is very active on forums :hahaha2:

I solve the downloading problem via rapidshare.de.
I didn't download rar file via download manager.
Instead of this, I put command that the file must be opened
via winrar. The file was downloaded then and opened
via winrar. :)

dan, you can get the software and additional files from official site, this is only the map for romania, other european maps can be found in garmin city navigator eruope 2009 nt also here on the forum. all you need is the jetmouse kg v1.5

Man .. Can you explain something to me .. I have Map source codes for other map products ..... Europe City Navigator 2009 for example .. there the mapsource code is not individual .. So what you are trying to say is that for RO.A.D it is individual ?

MAN you are not following me ... I know that for each product we have different Map Source Code .. AND I know it because I have lots of them for Different products and they are DIFFERENT ... I am not that stupid .. you know ...

I need the MAPSOURCE CODE ... It is a code that unlocks the map within MapSource .. not the code for the GMAPSUPP.UNL file

yes, that one is also individual, in case you havent got it from the provider. there are 2 situations: if it comes with the product, it can unlock it on any pc :) if not, you have to generate one for each pc :)

You don't have to ask for any unlock code, just use the search function and look for jetmouse garmin keygen latest version and you can use it for for unlock your map on PC and in your device.

Yes, it does, see the image and others replay, sorry, i don't know what your problem is. Try quoting my first post, you will see the download links.

hy guys,can someone help me , i have a nokia n82 and i've successfully installed garmin and RO.A.D 2006 the first time after 2 days of continuous stress but i couldn't install mapsource on my pc so i just copied the map on my card and unlocked it.now i've tried to copy the 2008 map and it gave me an error,so i decided to format my card and do the all process again.I've instaled garmin on my phone but i can't install mapsource on my desktop pc or mu laptop , the same problem appears:"MapSouce could not find any installed MapSource map products. Please install one or more MapSource map products and start MapSource again.

Please could someone help me(i'm from romania), where can a get a good mapsource kit.
PS:I've installed mapsource using the web update and opening it with WinRAR.

Any Romanian speaking guy could translate "Procedura Pocket PC" from the installation pack into English ?


1. Instalati harta de pe CD folosind optiunea Full, nu Typical;
2. Va duceti la adresa aceasta [Only registered and activated users can see links] si luati de acolo acest soft GarminQueforPocketPCwithGPS10_270.exe (sau unul mai nou!) si il salvati pe PC:
3. Puneti PDA-ul in cradle, il sincronizati cu PC-ul pe USB, dupa care rulati softul descarcat la pasul 2. Acesta va instala clientul Que pe PDA(daca acesta este deja instalat, nu mai trebuie facut acest pas!);
4. Trebuie adaugata cu Regedit o cheie in registrii de pe PC si anume:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Garmin\QueRapi
Daca PDA-ul este legat pe USB, atunci acest lucru va permite lui MapSource sa il "vada".
5. Priniti PDA-ul, porniti si GPS 10 si asteptati pana cand Bluetootth Managerul de pe PDA va gasi pe Garmin GPS10, daca vrea sa faca bonding atunci parola este "1234".
6. Pe PDA, lansati programul Que si intrati in About Que de unde notati Unit ID-ul lui GPS10 pe care il treceti in Unlock Request Form-ul pe care il trimiteti catre noi;
7. Pe baza Unit ID-ului noi va trimitem un Cod de deblocare (25 caractere) pe care il introduceti in MapSource.
8. Acum puteti selecta harti si trimite la PDA catre clientul Que.

Here it is but it won't help you so much, this is the legal way:


1. Install the map on the CD using the Full option, not Typical;
2. Go to this link This is not allowed there and get this software GarminQueforPocketPCwithGPS10_270.exe (or a new one!) And save it on your PC:
3. Put the PDA in the cradle, it synchronized with your PC USB, then run the software downloaded in step 2. This will install the client Que PDA (if it's already installed, you must do this step!)
4. With regedit you must add a registry key on the PC :
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Garmin \ QueRapi
If your PDA is connected to USB, then this will allow the mapsource to "see it".
5. Start your PDA, and the GPS 10 and wait until the Bluetootth PDA manager will find Garmin GPS10, if he wants to do bonding when the password is "1234".
6. On PDA, launch the program and enter Que and in About Que note your united's ID GPS10, than put it in Unlock Request Form and send it to us;
7. Based on United's ID, we will send you a code (25 characters) that you enter in mapsource to unlock it.
8. Now you can select and send maps to the PDA client Que.

No, it is not. But i like Sygic more, very good coverage also, not so many POI, but way more fast. If you intend to go with the car, not hiking, i think it will do the job. If you use other device, you can use iGo witch is the best, my opinion tough.

What do you try to unlock, and where you try it in mapsource? You need a 25 characters code to unlock a map. It should look like this:

Btw. i have iGo8 Romanian map version (2008.01+) 080903, is this latest one and the best?

Yes, this is the latest version for iGO v8.3.xxx, but i really dont know if is the best. For iGO v8.0.xxx, the latest is Romania 2008.07_080919. If you can use iGO, just go with it. Forget about others.

finally , i`ve completed the tutorial (thanks ioji for help) and now i`m transfering the maps to phone.

You already have it in mapsource and you didn't try it??? Yes, it's 100% routable.

This map is in my phone from the moment it was released and i navigate with it since than. And not just me, look how many people downloaded the map and no complain so far. Transfer it to your phone, give a destination and you will see.

Go outside and get GPS signal, or browse the world base map till you get over Roumania.
