Release Notes:
Last cracked version by me unlocked China Mainland Pro, europe, Hong Kong & Macau TA,
Taipei, Taiwan, USA & Canada. All maps are working fine except "europe".
The problem is Symbian OS doesn't recognize file lager than 2GB, so the key is there
but no one can get it working on the 2.19GB europe map.
Well, I'm not a european, so I don't care and never tested the europe map before
release it to Chinese and American public. So What?

OK, This time I bring you another *not a fully Cracked* version for some of your european.

Only the following Maps are unlocked in this release:
- Australia ([Only registered and activated users can see links])
- United Kingdom & Ireland ([Only registered and activated users can see links])
- Western Europe ([Only registered and activated users can see links])
- Plus "Turkey TA"

All maps tested and confirm working except "Turkey TA", What TA mean is TELEATLAS.
This map is not downloadable from ROUTE 66 Store, it may exist somewhere.
Sorry for Baltics & Central Europe & Eastern Europe people, your maps are not yet
in the unlocked list.

This release also come with:
- english Voices (other Voices please download with ROUTE 66 Sync *PC*)
- Safety cameras: Europe (Expiration date:04-12-2009)
- Safety cameras: United Kingdom (Expiration date:13-11-2009)
- all ColorSchemes


Install Notes:
1) Sign the sis file
2) Transfer the signed sis to your device and install
3) Copy the System folder from System.rar to memory card root
4) Enjoy!


Extra info:
All "Extras" services would Synchronise license keys once with R66 server,
so all the services have been disabled for protect the cracked key.

Good release BUT the UK Maps despite being Q3 2008 are well out of date. Compared them to McGuider and Tomtom, and their maps are very very up-to-date, emailed Route66 and they have the "dont give a toss attitude" :-(

Don't know how you got it working. Mine won't recognize the map in the "Map selection" in the settings, and when you move the cursor to AUS it shows the locked symbol like it does in Route66 Sync. :(

I get the same problem...

You need to use the exact map mentioned.

Western Europe.map
isn't the same as UK or London etc.
Those are included in the map but the licens only apply
to the mentioned maps.


There is no need to syncronise or do anything other then install
extract the extra files and place the maps in the correct folder.
Even installing the same original version would delete your keys.

Place the map on your memory card under:
Replace the X with the current for your memory card.

X:\system\apps\ROUTE66_v8\Data\Maps

Works fine with WE map, you have to check the right position of map as suggested by Niska.

It's better than any other GPS app I've used so far on my N95 8GB.

I can't make work R66 Sync in order to download French voice.

If we are talking just about app, TomTom. But since TT didn't update software and maps from 2006 for symbian, i think you better use Garmin witch have updated maps, or you can try the clone of TT - Sygic.

I just used this today with my N95 8GB in Oz.
This is MUCH better than TomTom or Garmin XT.

eg. It doesn't disconnect while I'm in the tunnel.
It assumes that you are still driving at an average speed.
So it picks up exactly when you get out of the tunnel.

Also, the screen refresh while moving is faster/smoother than Garmin/TomTom.
And it has far faster map browsing. And has a great interface. Love it.

At the end, this is actually USEABLE while driving.
Garmin XT 5 was OK but nowhere near as good as this.

Any1 knows how to add the POI files to the map. The safety poi has to be purchased and since this is blocked, I am wondering if I can use the old poi csv files?

That should be the case. I have tested these maps on N82 and N85. They are all working. You must pay attention when copying system.rar to card. You must REPLACE files when asked.

That should be the case. I have tested these maps on N82 and N85. They are all working. You must pay attention when copying system.rar to card. You must REPLACE files when asked.

Please install sis-file. Then extract system.rar into root of your mem card.

If you are not asked to replace some files...you have done something wrong.

butyou need to update them (via PC-Sync).

Or you can make your own in excel but then you need to use formulas
to add all the tags and then copy the column with everything to notepad
or simular to save it as a text file named .LMX
but this makes it easy to update with new data later on.

So it's not possible to use the 'navigator-key' for this one? And isn't the sollution to copy the files from C:/System/Apps/Route66_v8/ to C:/System/Apps/Navigator/? I don't have time to try this now. Maybe next week...

So I refromatted my memory card. Installed the sis file and copied the system folder.

Selected overwrite files and then started up Route66.

After an hour and a half backing up the memory card and formatting it and transferring things back to it, Route 66 STILL does NOT work. The Australian maps are still locked/unactivated.

If you've got this problem, R66 isn't installed correctly.
I had to:
_format my SD and shoot old R66 files on C:,
_Install R66 (again) on the memory Card,
_perform a first fix,
_then connect to PC in mass storage mode in order to:
1°transfert french voice thanks R66 Sync. (I think this step erased the crack when i downloaded the voice the first time...),
2°transfert the folder System on the root of the memory card.
3°transfert card ---> system\apps\route66_v8\data\maps

Yeah, It seems that Navigon is only GPS based (no AGPS) software. For me It is outdated and TomTom is out of question concerning S60 proggies. Route66 is alive and kicking. :D

Yeah sure, great solution... Only problem is when ur mobile can't read SDHC standard so u can't use memory card bigger than 2GB!

This is the best sat nav on Symbian right now. Garmin and Copilot have better features and UI, but both too buggy and laggy.

Actually i would say nokia maps is the best if it supported custom POI's and Speed camera's.

Yeah sure, great solution... Only problem is when ur mobile can't read SDHC standard so u can't use memory card bigger than 2GB!

urm... 4GB non-SDHC memory cards exist (but no higher), my phone does not support SDHC but I am using a 4Gb card on it, and is able to access all 4Gb of it - I suggest u check the sandisk or kingston website.

I can't seem to sign the sis. I sign the sis, copy to phone, then I try to run on e71 and it says it is unsigned. I tried signing using makekeys.exe signsis.exe.

urm... 4GB non-SDHC memory cards exist (but no higher), my phone does not support SDHC but I am using a 4Gb card on it, and is able to access all 4Gb of it - I suggest u check the sandisk or kingston website.

mmmm no man, 4gb is the beginning size of SDHC standard. Maybe it works on ur phone cause of some firm update. Which phone? N80? Cuz I got that one too, but I've never tried memory cards bigger than the specified limit. It'd be a great new if 4BG works on it!

Majorly disappointed with this. Did a hard reset and the maps for australia are still locked.

I am doing everything the instructions say, following all the troubleshooting people have put up in here, but im jsut going in time-wasting circles at the moment. argh.

update:navigon is unable to plan a route without gps-signal, while r66 can. don't know yet about accuracy of latest r66-maps. navigon is pretty good for trucks tho

i think u should just go to a shop and ask them if u could try out one of those bigger memory cards. my old 6230 was able to read 2 GB mmc's even tho nokia claimed 512 mb to be the maximum

You can only use the maps listed in origial post if your country is not within you wait for a different unlocker.

If your region is within,then make sure you fully copied the map to its propper location. This what happened to me when i moved the map to the map folder it had timed didn't copied the full map.

Or your phone is corrupt use *#7370# = a hard reset that sweeps away the files on C Drive. I needed to do it three times on my N95. don't forget to buckup your data. After you need to enter a code, 12345 if unchanged.

Just a little heads up on R66 V8 It's running fast, recalculation of routing is fast, I only don't like the way this program routing to the destination. routing set to fast but this program makes a zig-zag using small roads makes you brake and turn a lot. I gues it needs a "use only main roads" in its setup options. I have also experienced this with Navigon7 for symbian.

I'm in australia using the Australian map file linked to in the first post.

I have hard reset the phone twice and reformatted the memory card three times with no luck.

I'm using an N82 with V20 FW with and without the hack(reset phone, installed, tried. Reset phone, hacked, installed, tried. - Twice).

Still not having any luck, seriously sick of wasting my time on this.

Iteresting problems U R having rbimdxe I can anly say go through the teps slowly report back here the way u did it. Look things like Map folder instead of Maps, File size. This should work on your phone.

When I try to install I get 'Update error'.

Probably has something to do with my phone having Route 66 (rebranded as Samsung Mobile Navigator) already preinstalled - couldn't find anywhere to uninstall it so I could install this cracked version.

I also tried version 7 but it seems to just crash.

it really sucks when people ask for other maps. there are none, dont keep asking about whatever map. if you want more, go and buy the program. else it will be posted here, when other maps are here. besides what, italy is part of western europe, and therefore there is no need for a special italy-only-version.

Thanks a lot for the link but unfortunately i cannot install the 2nd file , i get error "Unable to Install. Constrained by the certificate" my phone is h@caked and i also tried to sign the file with my cer. but no luck.I put the map in the caorrect path but route66 doesn t recognise it ( i assume due to the lack of the instalation of keys) -AGAIN sorry to be wasting of your time, i appreciate ur help a lot.regards

if signing fails in the second sis file, than persian gulf and athens will not work. sorry, i am not the one who developed this so i cant offer you a fix :/ it works however on my phone. when installing the second sis, try setting the date of your phone to 17.05.2007

for western europe and so on, you have however to use the version mentioned in this thread. the old licences always get overwritten.

And here we go again - Italy is part of WE (western Europe) and you should know that. Read some posts before just asking, at least the first one.

Than use another navigation system where you can use just Italy and the license will work. Try Sygic, Garmin.

The weblink on Route66 website says that "all keys will be deleted" and that u will have to sync to retrieve them. This means that the cracked maps and speed cams will be lost. Isnt that correct? Pill :)

Why when I try to download any maps i get " illegal download " Where can i get maps for this?

you need to have your phone plugged in, as a data connection / memory card (not PC Suite) mode, then you've to get Route 66 Sync installed on your machine,

then when you load that up, it'll detect your phone and you can choose to download the maps that are available for the version you have installed.
