I have found that using the phones own player things are ok so i will wait for a good app to be released as most do lag the built in player is ok but you need to start from the begining all the time annoying ..but at least it will not lag ...so i will just have to wait

You do not need to start the file from the beginning everytime. Just use the media button to start realplayer, go into my videos and start it that way. If you pause and back out of the file it will start off where you left off. I don't think there will be a working version of Smartmovie or Coreplayer for this phone due to the hardware not being able to support player properly. There will be too many frames dropped and out of sync audio.

i just test it. yes its better but still lags and someone pls crack it . if u got the smartmovie keygen u can unlock it but then it asks for online verification. u can see a movie if ur fast enough to press back but it will ask for online verification next time u ll use it .

except the small lag (its still jumping frames) it also has audio/video sync small problems but way better than 4.01 version

Its useless to think for smartmovie 4.01. its laggy and you'll definitely be irritated after some time. New version 4.1 is better. But this crack doesn't work there. You need to connect to internet to authenticate its code.

If anyone can provide key for 4.1 it will be really great.

the app works fine on my nokia 5800 xm no lag etc..thank you to the thread starter for a nice app but some may need to think about lag from video on there nokia 5800 as some times a cheap memory card may be the issue or another app running in the background etc so please look at this before posting and saying the app is bad etc as i did not pay for it as you did not..so why complain ? if an app works it works if not they may be another reason for this ..i do hope this helps you in some way

Why this app here anyway? IT JUST NOT CUT OUT FOR 5800. It's totally useless and frustrating. It will NOT, NOT, NOT, NOT play .avi files unless you want to watch some lagging slide show.
What's the use of it on 5800???????

the new version can play and working great.. but dont have the loader yet.. it keep ask for verified after enter the code number. you can try it out by update it from menu

or uninstall 1st and download here

the version 4.15 the avi files played well with clear a/v quality but got to wait for loader

Even 4.15 still lagging for me on my N97. mp4 files are the only one at the moment. but bad thing about mp4 is that there are no settings like at least a/v sync (delay) but it is like it is :)

im using 5800 and smartmovie was installed and working, avi vids would be watchable. I recently tries to launch the app but it suddenly closes as i open it.
anyone know what the problem could, i've tried reinstalling different versions but still no luck.

Try XVID4PSP, it is free and support subtitle.. You can convert your divx movie and its subtitle to mp4 with this.. Choose mp4 for 5800 preset and play it with native real player on your mobile, file size remain the same but you will get superb watching movie experience.. For me it's much better than smartmovie
