FULLSCREEN JAVA GAMES - step by step by bozskydave

360x640!

Game is fullscreen if you set:

Menu --> settings --> Application manager --> Installed apps. --> select touch game in 360x640 --> Options --> Suite setting --> On-screen keyboard --> set OFF

And now we have touch-fullscreen java games :)

360x384
if select Navig. keys only

menu --> settings --> Application manager --> Installed apps. --> select touch game in 360x384 --> Options --> Suite setting --> On-screen keyboard --> and set Navigation keys only

360x360
we do nothing. Setting is default. We have full virtual navigation keypad

Does not work for me! It's not full screen - the only different is that instead of virtual keyboard the half screen stays blanc!

No I don't but also no one does as such java game simply does not exist! ;)

All .sis games which are meant for s60v5 are running just fine in fullscreen without need of ur method. All posted .jar games are like the mentioned Prince of Persia - 360x384 and the result will be all the same - half blanc screen. :)

So therefor not much of use of ur method althought it's a good effort to help and for that I'm giving u rep+ ;)

I'm pretty sure that when and if a proper java games with full screen are released they wont need ur method ... or we will use it then. :exactly:

I have the same problem.
Is there any Java games converter, so one can convert resolution & may be it will work in playing full screen games.
( games like prince of persia, zuma, islan quest etc. )

Man, I was just wandering: what is not clear in the previous posts? As the fact that there is no such JAVA game yet, nor will ever be! The games are designed in half screen cause the other half must be the virtual keys. How else would you control it?

On the other hand, I tried a method to make all the java games for 9.1,2 or 3 work on 5800. And they did. But of course with the virtual keys for controlling the game.

Virtual keys and the like totally suck... I can't wait until developers start making games designed for s60v5.. Because I once had a SE P910i ( it's a touch device ) and it had some awesome games, I remember a game which was like frozen bubble where you control it using the stylus and it was amazing <3

cant we have a fullscreen java game which can be controlled by touching the screen and no buttons????
if such games are released then i dont think we will need the virtual keypad.....

Yes like Rovio Bounce touch game provide by Nokia.

This virtual keypad almost cover half of the screen & there is no meaning, it seems like we are playing in old mobile which has small screen.

Well u r not 100% right mate - u can move the Prince in Prince of Persia by just touching the screen in desired direction ... which makes it even more suck I admit

Well, I prefer those sucky virtual directional keys, over sliding my finger in some direction..:)))

Aliken

why is it less release of motionsensor/acclerommeter games for nokia s60v5 when the phone itself support accelerometer. why does the developer make a game which uses the virtual keyboard instead of using the motion sensor for nokia s60v5 phones. games such as Locco Rocco, ferari gt n most car games, bowling and many that i dont remember!!!!!!!!! while sony ericsson phones have more motion sensor games than nokia. Even sony ericsson themes support accelerometer themes . Shame of Nokia!!!
