You can downgrade, but you need a box (like JAF or MT) to do so.
If you try to it with just a USB cable you'll end up bricking/killing your phone.
Another option is to take your phone to a Nokia Care (Service Center) and ask them if they can do the downgrade. They may refuse and if they accept to do it most likely they'll charge you.

Unhacked S60 v3 and v5 phones (such as yours) needs applications to be signed, otherwise refuse to install. when you buy an application it's signed for sure.
but there are many freeware or cracked applications that you can't install on your phone without signing it yourself. (I have never successfully signed an app :LoL:)
If you hack your phone, then you'll be free of signing and can install any unsigned application

They're totally hack! But they mean there isn't any installserver for some of FP2 and for S60V5. People don't understand that sign the app is different than hack the phone! This ones are hacked but we even need to sign the apps or use a rompatcher patch.

This can be wrong! But As I know
Partly hacked means that you can install (altered) root certificates on your phone and then you sign and install any application with a single certificate and key (included in hacking package). there is no installserver.exe available for partly hacked phones to put in c:\sys\bin\ and let unsigned program get installed.

Now I'm really confused. Is e66 with FW 200.21.118 fully or partial hackable? According to list is only partial - is that true? I've got e66 with FW 110.07.126 and I've got it fully hacked. Is there any difference in hacking ability between FW 110.XX and 200.XX?

In most cases it means you can use installserver.exe (thus, you have the ability to install unsigned/expired apps and games) but ROMPatcher and SecMan won't be able to turn off PlatSec. Still some phone will not even have a hacked installserver. So again, it depends on the phone, but it means you won't have access to all the hacked features.

I cant hack N95 after i put a new firmware v 31.0.017, anybody knows how can i hack it..
i shouldnt do that, becouse my phone was hacked with the previous version of firmware..
In hellocarbide, when i choose menu1, i cant confirm with yes... that option doesnot exist on this new firmware, so in ybrowser I cant see C:\sys\bin where I need to paste installserver so that kind of hacking doesnt work!!

I've tried it now. Updated the phone to V04.13 - installed HelloX 1.03 and all works perfect. I've hacked the phone with the former firmware V3.06 with HelloX 1.02, maybe that is the reason that it still works.However I'm happy

What do you mean by partial support for N95-1 31.0.017? I hacked my phone for the 1st time today (with v12) just after 6 hours, I decided to update my firmware (to have more free RAM + flash lite 3)... Tried every version of helloox / mapdrives, it seems nokia added an extra secutiry check for execution on virtual drives, so it can't install root certificates.

N97 is, at the moment, NON hackable. :sorry:

Nokia has also released v400.34.011 firmware for the diminutive E51, bringing "improvements and increased stability in Mail for Exchange and SMS reception". It also "improves stability and usability for VoIP and WLAN" and "robustness improvements when pressing the Home key". 'Stability improvements' and 'Robustness improvements' are of course Nokia speak for fixing bugs(!), but we're not complaining. Do note that the E51 is old enough not to have User Data Preservation, so do a full backup to memory card before using Nokia Software Update and then restore again afterwards. And make a note of any critical email or application settings - you know the drill.

I do not use widgets in a day by day basis, but I can say for sure that previous 300.x does support widgets. I used to have one or another in it.

So I think 400.x also support them. I can try this latter.

Just to mention: E51 300.x is hackable (by HelloOx, HelloCarbide/ROMPatcher, Y:\.sys). BUT 400.x is not hackable yet.

But not via PC Suite. You have to copy it to your memory card and launch it from mobile for it to properly install.

it can be hacked via helloox 2.02 version
here is the instruction for how to install
1)you need to download helloox2.02 unsigned (not 2.01)
2)you need a 17 dev cert ( go to [Only registered and activated users can see links] for cert)
3)register there and apply your cert with your imei and mobile no in china(use this 13456789158 as phone no when you don't have one)
4)wait for 24-48 hrs
5)download the cer and sign helloox 2.02 with your cer and install
6) congrats your phone is hacked

5800 XM NAM (RM-428) with last FW v31.2.008 successfuly hacked with HelloOX2v2.02, no issues at all, works like a charm :2thumbsup:

Doesnt work with N86 latest firmware unfortunately..

I did try to hack my E55 021.013 .
I could not install unsigned apps what I could do was open the Folder private and browse in that folder.
Strange....

you did the half-hack! now place the installserver in c/sys/bin and just now can install unsigned apps

For me as n86 with unhackable firmware owner i Thank god the new firmware for n97 is also unhackable. Maybe now more people will get interest in inventing new hacking method. it is a great news for me :)

OMG!!! :( wish i read this before i reformatted and upgraded as advised. now my phone's all stable and better, but empty and lacking my fave apps. *sigh*

to all phones with unhackable firmware, i think the only solution is:
1. get yourself a paid application
"but why spending money when you can choose option #2" which is
2. getting your certificate and a signing tool wherein you can sign and install applications exclusively for you!

Without hack you can only install allready signed apps.
Most cracked apps are unsigned ,and cant be installed if 1 youre phone is not hacked or 2 you did not sign the apps youre self.
advance of hacking : you dont need to sign all apps manualy , more tweaking is possible on youre phone.

So I did try to hack my E55 021.013 , and it worked !!
