Getting started:
To get started with the application working you have to: adjust settings, set up greetings and activate Best Answering Machine.

To create a new greeting, choose Options - Greetings, there you can set greetings by "Default", for persons "Not in Contacts" and with "Private Number", as well as specify particular greetings for a "Contact", a "Group" or a "Phone number".

Settings:
In Settings dialog you can set the following options for Best Answering Machine:

* Greetings - allows setting up the greetings played on pick-up;
* Active in profiles - defines in which profiles the application will pick-up the phone and record messages;
* Storage - allows selecting on which disk the records will be saved;
* Pick up after - sets the time after which the call will be answered;
* Record time - maximum amount of time the message is being recorded;
* Format - message file format (amr,wav);
* Icon - configures the visibility of the icon displaying application activity and presence of new messages; depending on this parameter, can be shown in standby screen only (Phone application) or in any application;
* Play volume - play volume for the greeting;
* Records lifetime - automatically removes old messages;

Messages:
In this view you can listen to new and old messages, delete unnecessary messages, send the recorded messages and call the person directly from this view.

During the call:

When Answering Machine is processing an incoming call, you will see a dialog showing the application's progress with the ability to stop it:

* Answer - when this command is chosen during a call, it stops greeting playback or message record and you can continue talking to the caller;
* Hang up - stops greeting playback or message recording and terminates the call;

This is how I did it.


This method Is exclusively for Nokia 5800xm....

first of all I need to say some thing..... "This is a F.W bug......And I hope nokia will fix this bug in a month"

Exclusive Method:
=============
people you need signed applications(nokia 5800 compatible Appz)

1) Make your phone memory backup data using nokia pc suit 7.1(very important)
2) After that remove your Micro sd card form mobile..
3) Remove your SIM card also(very important)
4) press *#7370# and unlock code to format your phone memory(yap.. this is safe default is 12345)
5) You will lose all your important data with this action...so make a backup of your phone memory
6) Now nokia 5800 xm will reboot.....wait for a minute....
7) Then select your country region as "Hong Kong"
Cool Set the current time......(set your phone to offline mode)_
9) Now you can put that Micro sd card ......
10) And don;t insert that SIm card right now...just wait....and try to install any supported singed application (E.G-nokia handwriting calculator)
11) And Volla...u may install any singed application ......
12) After that just install your Sim Card.....

Hope this will make nokia 5800xm owners happy........

sorry for this question... but I have today a nokia 5800 its new for me.. in the past I have a older Nokia who needs to be generated a signed application then I upload to the site symbian signed, then I download the cert and install on my phone...

but the question its why 2 files ?
1.- best answering machine unsigned cracked
2.- Best answering machine incl. Keygen

well, its working on nokia 5800 for sure.... and works beautifully. The keygen's not a virus... everything fits perfect. I just wanted to know if instead of my own voice recording, is it possible that i could put a recording downloaded from the net as a greeting... Kindly let me know if that's possible.

yes you can, it needs to be a amr file, and inside the folder sounds/digital/ansmachine
